Halloween Eyes Mani

I always feel like...somebody's watching meeeeee!  In this case my acent nails are watching me...and I have no privacy, ooooooh!  Here's my second Halloween mani!  I am actually wearing this one today.  Yes, it's juvenile and I smeared an eyeball...but I'm pretty horrible at art and it was my first time trying to make eyeballs.  So I like how it turned out anyways.  It was sparkly and fun!

Here's what I have on!  Thumb, index and middle all got 2 coats of LA Girl Electric Coral.  Am orange scattered holo with a jelly like finish.  Really beautiful color that is much more orange than my pictures are showing.  The formula was beautiful and so easy to use.  I drew black stripes on my index with Orly Liquid Vinyl (yeah shaky hands, but I was tired, it was late and I didn't feel like digging around for my tape).  On my ring and pinky nails I have 2 coats of Nerd Lacquer HOCCHHH KSSSHHHHH (named after the sound Darth Vader makes when he breathes).  HK is a super pretty black glitter polish that is so full of glitter you don't even need a base for it.  Holo hexs, super fine microglitter, black glitters...it built up great!  It actually has a textured type feel to it, thought I know that's not what it's meant to be.  Use a thick layer or 2 of topcoat or Gelous to smooth it out.  I then used a dotting tool to make eyeballs on my ring finger.  Done!  Easy, cute, and even y 2 year old daughter looked at my nails and knew they were "Halloween!"

Lumina Lacquer Peculiar Pumpkin Posse

Good morning ghosts and ghouls!  Happy Halloween!  I have 2 Halloween manis to share with you today and this it the first one!  A lovely polish created by Tatiana over at Lumina Lacquer.  I love my Luminas!  They are always packed full of glitter, sparkly and beautiful.  This particular Lumina definitely fits that bill!  If you are interested in Lumina Lacquer you can purchase polish HERE, and can follow on Facebook and Instagram (luminalacquer).  You definitely want to follow the Instagram account - that's where sneak previews of new colors pop up all the time!

Peculiar Pumpkin Posse is awesome.  It's a glitter bomb full of orange, black, holo and the darkest teal glitters.  It's got hexs, diamonds, moons, microglitter and black HOLO pumpkins!!!  I think there are orange holo pumpkins too but none wanted to come out and play.  I did get some black holo pumpkins out (minimal fishing required as Luminas are so full of glitter you always get something exciting on your brush) and they are super awesome!  The formula was great - so much glitter came out and it all spread nicely on my nails for full coverage!  I used 2 coats of PPP over a gradient of Orly Liquid Vinyl (black creme) and LA Girl 3D Silver (scattered silver holo).  My accent nail is 3 coats of 3D Silver alone.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat and viola!  Blingy Halloween nails!

Halloween Nails!

Good morning dears!  Halloween is almost upon us and I have a little mani I threw together for the occasion!  Nothing special or intricate, no art.  Just black and orange and pretty!  If time allowed I might have 1 or 2 more Halloween manis to share, let's just hope Mr. Sun decides to come out and play so I can get nice pictures.  Anyhoodle...let's look at this mani for now and I will worry about the other when it's time for that.

I started this mani off with 2 layers of Orly Liquid Vinyl on my thumb, index and middle fingers.  I then did a reverse gradient on those fingers with Girly Bits Holo'Ween.  This is a gorgeous mix of holo orange micro glitter, orange bars and black glitters.  It's in a clear base but the micro glitters are dense so you likely won't see much of the base color.  I sponged 1-2 layers on those 3 nails, dabbing a few sparse glitters down to the tips of my nails.  For my ring and pinky I used OPI Emotions, a sparkly black sand on the top half of my nails.  Then I used Zoya Dhara on the bottom half of my nails.  To blend the colors a bit more I dabbed Julie G Tangerine Dream in the middle of them.  I used 2 coats of each of the texture polishes.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat over my thumb, index and middle fingers.

Girly Bits Spam!

Good evening readers!  Bare with me as I may have posts going up at odd times over the next few days with awards ceremonies, field trips, parades and such going on with my kids.  I actually spent today trick or treating with my daughter at a "Mommy & Me" event.  It was loads of fun, Naomi even said Trick or Treat a few times.  But all that walking around really wore me out (note to self - wear flat boot next time and not heels).  So tonight while I rest my feet and wait for my slow cooker feast to be ready I have lots of Girly Bits to share with you! Some are new, some are old - they are all gorgeous.  You can purchase Girly Bits at the online SHOP,  Llarowe, Mei Mei's Signatures, Overall Beauty and Harlow & Co.  You can also follow Girly Bits on Facebook and Instagram (girlybitscosmetics).  Let's take a look shall we?

This is What Happens In Vegas...Ends Up On Facebook.  Pam put this beauty together over the summer when she was at the Cosmoprof Convention in Las Vegas.  It's described as a "dusty eggplant shimmer with holo qualities and blue/purple color shifting iridescent micro glitters, pink micro glitters and red micro shimmer."  My shade pictures definitely looks eggplantish, but the sunshine pictures are more of a plummy-fuchsia.  The formula was sheer and jelly like but built up really beautifully in 3 coats.  That holo sparkle and iridescent shimmer are stunning together!  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.   This was an LE and I don't believe it's available now.

Here we have What the Deuce? from the new Fall 2013 collection.  The Fall collection is full of gorgeous holos and shimmers and I love them all but this one really spoke to me!  Pam says WTD is "a kelly green holo shimmer."   Aside from Nubar Reclaim I don't have many bright green holos!  And this is definitely brighter than Reclaim!  So I am very happy to give it a home in my collection.  The formula on this was gorgeous, creamy and a dream to apply.  WTD was thisclose to being a 1 coater, but I used 2 coats for full coverage and to make sure there were no patchy spots in my pictures.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Now I have an older polish to share.  The recently retired Crunchy Leaves was one of the first Girly Bits I bought and I love it.  It literally screams Autumn!  I did wear this one last year but I never had a chance to take pictures or blog it so this year I made sure it was in my to do pile!  I started this mani with 2 coats of Gina Tricot Expresso (a beautiful rusty, almost metallic orange).  I then used 1 layer of Crunchy Leaves on top.  Crunchy Leaves is full of gorgeous gold, red-orange and red glitters.  There are a few different sized hexs but mostly it's made up of micro glitter.  This one is a real stunner!  Since it's been retired I hope Pam comes up with another similar polish to take it's place!

Finally I have Daddy's Little Girl.  This is another older polish, from the 2012 Calendar Girls Collection (June).  It's described as "multiple sizes of sapphire blue, sky blue, purple and fuchsia in a sheer tinted cobalt blue base."  I've held on to this for a long time.  Why I haven't worn it before is a mystery to me.  It's bright and sparkly and gorgeous! I started this mani with 1 layer of wet n wild Root of All Evil (another cobalt blue shade with shimmer).  I love how all the shades of glitter looked against this base.  If you wanted more of a POP you could layer this over black.  I used 1 layer of topcoat to finish this mani.

Glow In the Dark Week, Night 7: Red Dog Designs Light Bright

Well we have come to the conclusion of Glow In the Dark week.  I'm sad, this was fun!  I truly enjoyed the night posts and the common theme for all the posts in this series.  I will be doing another theme week again soon!  Below you will find links to all the other posts for the past 7 days if you missed any.

My final post is another Red Dog Designs.  But this one is a one of a kind that Gina threw together for fun and sent my way to use for GITD week.  I decided to name it Light Bright.  This is actually a very unique polish.  It's a Barbie neon pink textured polish with pink glow in the dark pigment.  Yup, textured glow in the dark!  Mind blown!  It's was an amazing formula that went on so nicely and easily.  The texture was perfect with a slight glitter.  And the pink glow, how could you not love it?  I used 3 coats and no topcoat.
