Morgan Taylor Rocky Horror Picture Show 40th Anniversary Celebration Collection

This is All White Now, a basic white creme.  A total necessity for any collection.  All White Now is very stark and clean.  I found it a bit streaky but it even out in 3 coats.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

Glow In The Dark Topcoat is just that - a glow in the dark topcoat.  I used 1 coat over All White Now.  It applied easily and you can wear it over any color.

I was walking through my dim kitchen and look at how the bottle is already glowing!  It barely had any direct light to charge it!

And here's the Glow In the Dark Topcoat in action!  Very bright but a little streaky.  I bet if you used 2 coats that would be all evened out.  Again this polish took very little light to get a strong charge and a really great glow!

Pretty Woman is a super classic red creme.  It's a timeless color with a fabulous formula.  Creamy and buttery.  I love me a red like this and this didn't disappoint.  I used 2 coats and finished with a layer of topcoat.

And last but not least is Little Black Dress.  This is a totally awesome 1-coat black creme.  Super shiny and fabulous!  I topped this with a layer of topcoat.

Morgan Taylor Fight Like a Lady Collection, Breast Cancer Awareness 2015

Good evening everyone!  I wanted to jump back on and share a lovely little collection with you.  Morgan Taylor release a 4-piece mini set called Fight Like A Lady for Breast Cancer Awareness month.  This set has a pink for everyone - the barely there, the sparkly, the classy and the bright!  I enjoyed all 4 of them too!  I browsed around the Morgan Taylor site and didn't see this set, but I did see the full size bottles of each of the 4 colors in this post so you have the option to get those for now.    And as a matter of fact the site Morgan Taylor links to for buying online has all 4 of these shades on sale for $6.50 each and a 15% off code - TREAT15 - to use until 10/31!  Nice deal!  Are you ready?  Let's jump in and check out the polish then.

Morgan Taylor Fight Like A Lady

Up first I have Sweet Surrender, an extremely sheer, soft pink jelly.  You will have visible nail line with this but I think that's the point.  I actually think it creates a "your nails but better" effect.  Look how bright and clean my nails look!  The formula and application were both great.  I used 2 coats of Sweet Surrender and no topcoat.

Sweetest Thing is the blingy sister of the bunch.  Its a metallic pink glitter in a clear base (actually the base is ever so slightly tinted pink) that you can wear alone or over a base color.  I chose to sponge Sweetest Thing onto my tips and as a full accent nail.  I did this over Sweet Surrender.  I love how it turned out!  The glitter applied easily and heavily.  I only needed to sponge on one layer for full coverage.  I finished up with a layer of topcoat.

Lip Service is a vivid bubblegum pink creme.  This baby is fairly bright and to me bright is happy.  This one had a great formula that evened out nicely in 2 coats.  Just to ensure I didn't have any visible nail line I ended up slapping on a 3rd coat but it was unnecessary.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

Prettier In Pink is a "watermelon pink creme."  What a gorgeous and vibrant color!  This is another that really makes me happy just to look at it.  The formula and application were both awesome.  Creamy and opaque in 2 coats.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

KBShimmer Winter 2015 (partial review)

Good afternoon!  Welp, Halloween is tomorrow and I officially have my first Winter collection on the old blog.  While I love the warm, cozy and typically vampy colors of the Fall collections, I also enjoy the rich jewel tones and ultra blingy colors of Winter ones.  So today I have the new KBShimmer Winter collection, which consists of cremes, holos, jellies, crellies, glitters and flakes!  There are 14 polishes in all and several new holiday themed water slide decals.  This collection launches on November 2nd!  So let's jump in and check out the polish (I will have some water slides up soon!).

Fleece Navidad is a light grey polish with blue microflakies.  It's reminiscent of chilly days full of snow and ice.  The formula was really nice and it applied easily in 3 coats.  I used one layer of KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Topcoat.

Oh Holo Night is one of the glitter toppers in the collection.  I couldn't resist the mini holo stars!  So cute!  This glitter topper was really easy to use.  No fishing for any pieces and they all laid on the nail nicely.  I used 2 coats of Oh Holo Night over Fleece Navidad, finished with a layer of Clearly On Top Quick Dry topcoat.

Smoke Signals is a unique and pretty light grey crelly full of orange, red and aqua glitters.  I love this combo - it's unique and cool and is a great polish for both Fall and Winter seasons!  The formula was pretty sheer on the first coat but that's how crelies work so I wasn't concerned - and for good reason.  Smoke Signals built up perfectly in 3 coats.  I used 1 layer of Clearly On Top Quickly Dry topcoat to finish.

Owl Miss You is one of my favorites from the collection.  It's a gorgeous soft beige (that read more greige on my skin tone) and is full of golden metallic flakes and golden shimmer.  This soft shade is such a perfect neutral that I can imagine myself wearing for several occasions.  I think it would be totally suitable for work too!  The formula and application were both great.  I used 3 coats and finished with a layer of Clearly On Top Quick Dry topcoat.

Coal In One is one mega stunning holo.  For the record, I wouldn't mind getting this charcoal grey linear holo in my stocking!  If you were only going to get one polish and really wanted that WOW factor I'd suggest Coal In One.  The formula was opaque and buttery.  It applied like a dream.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.

Yule Worthy is a vampy burgundy/brown polish full of micro metallic flakes.   I love the uniqueness of this polish.  I have nothing like it color or finish wise, in my collection.  The formula and application were both amazing.  I used 2 coats of Yule Worthy for full coverage and a layer of Clearly On Top Quick Dry topcoat.

The final polish that I have to share with you is Kind Of A Big Dill.  Such a silly name, but if you are one of those that hides the pickle on your tree you will appreciate it (the name and color!).  I personally adore the color.  It's a forest green jelly full of small holo glitters.  GORGEOUS!  What a perfect color for the holiday season.  Formula and application were both fabulous.  I only needed 2 coats but I applied a third for the most depth of color that I could get.  I finished with a layer of Clearly On Top Quick Dry topcoat.
