HOLO WEEK: Day 5, Part 2 - Celestial Cosmetics

Good evening!  Aren't you lucky?  You get 2 holo posts today!  I received these in the mail and couldn't not include them in holo week.  They were just too gorgeous.  Celestial Cosmetics is an Australian brand, but you can purchase them at Color4Nails.  I don't even want to take up your time reading...let's just look at polish!  I will start off by saying each of these had amazing formula and application.

Mrs. Claus' Jugs is a holo from the A Very Merry Aussie Christmas collection.  Sure it's from the holiday line up but guess what?  This "bright green linear" holo is absolutely perfect for the spring!  It's bright and beautiful.  I had great coverage in 3 coats.  No topcoat.

Sun Kissed is a perfect color for tanned bodies and sitting out on the beach!  This bronzed orange linear holo is a real stunna and I'm totally not biased with my professed love for orange.  I used 3 coats and no topcoat for full coverage.

Noel's Nuts is another polish from the A Very Merry Aussie Christmas collection.  It's a perfect "soft blurple linear" holo.  There's a pretty noticeable pink shimmer to it that is lovely.  I think this would be an awesome, sexy date night polish!  I used 2 layers and no topcoat.

Moonlight Glow is a gorgeous pink linear holo "with a light blue undertone."  This one was almost a frosty holo - likely from the amount of shimmer in it.  I thought it was unique and pretty.  I used 3 layers but 2 would have been completely fine.  No topcoat.

Sand Dunes stole my heart.  I am a sucker for these shades and this "bright bronze/brown linear" holo is a real winner.  It's another color that will look stunning on some bronzed skin!  Thank goodness I tan and don't burn because I will be rocking this shade all summer long!  Sand Dunes also has micro holo glitters in it that really set it apart making it unique and fun.  Lots of depth and sparkling holo goodness.  I used 2 layers and no topcoat.

Finally I have Ocean Mist.  Man the colors in this collection are making me long for the summer and the beach.  This fabulous and glowy teal linear holo was amazing.  I loved the color!  I used 2 layers and no topcoat.

Celestial Cosmetics: Opie, Reaper Crew and Chrome Amaranth

Good morning friends!  Hope your Monday went by without a hitch.  And if you are in one of the freezing Polar Vortex zones I hope you are staying as warm as possible.  Maybe looking at some sexay-hot polish will help keep you in warm spirits.  I have some lovely Celestial Cosmetics to share today and while they are readily available to Aussie gals, they aren't so easy for us US gals to nab.  Thank goodness for stockists like Color4Nails!  You can purchase all 3 of these at Color4Nails now.

Up first I have the Color4Nails exclusive shade, Chrome Amaranth.  Chrome Amaranth is a silver chrome polish with red glitter.  I also noticed some holo glitters in there, but they are sparse.  This polish was a little sheer, after 3 coats I still had a little visible nail line.  I did not use topcoat for my pictures but I'd recommend it because the glitter gives off a slightly bumpy look.

Now I have 2 Celestials from the Sons of Anarchy collection.  This one is Reaper Crew.  Reaper Crew is a black linear holo with a very sparkly and pretty rainbow flame.  Application and formula were both fantastic.  Reaper Crew applied like butter in 2 coats and was very glossy and shiny without any topcoat.

This is Opie, also from the Sons of Anarchy collection.  Opie is a shiny, foily, metallic silver linear holo.  This is a gorgeous polish!  Application and formula were both top notch.  I used 3 coats for full opaqueness and no topcoat.

Celestial Cosmetics & Color4Nails: The Seven Kingdoms Collection

Good morning!  Sorry for not posting very frequently this month!  I've been working on swatches, pictures and reviews every day!  I'm a busy little bee.  But I'm here now with a very awesome collection to share!  Sisi from Color4Nails has partnered up with Celestial Cosmetics to create a collection inspired by Game of Thrones.  It's called The Seven Kingdoms Collection and it's full of awesome holos, thermals and duochromes.  These will be available to purchase at the Color4Nails website TOMORROW (10/15).  You can also follow Color4Nails on Facebook and Instagram (color4nails) for promos and updates on stock.  Celestial also has a website, Facebook and Instagram (celestialcosmetics).  I have lots to show you so lets jump right in!

Up first I have Little Finger.  It's a lovely holographic thermal changing polish.  When warm it's a demure cornflower blue that changes to a beautiful royal purple when cold.  I used 3 coats to get complete coverage and had no problems with the application.  The color shift happened easily with temperature change.  I love the combination of the scattered holo with the purple and blue colors.  This is a really pretty polish.

Here we have A Lannister Always Pays His Debt.  This is another thermal polish that starts as a dusty pale yellow that shifts to medium orange color.  It has a sheer jelly formula with holo sparkles.  It is a very pretty polish but it was not my favorite of the bunch.  I had difficulties with the application and couldn't get it to change color despite my best efforts.  I found the formula a bit thick and goopy and it had a very long dry time.  I tried using 3 - 4 coats and still have visible nail line.  The pictures below show 1 coat of ALAPHD over 2 coats of Sinful Colors Unicorn and it looks alright this way.  But even layered I could not get it to change color.

This is High Garden.  It's another thermal polish with pretty holo sparkles.  High Garden starts out as a bright lime green when warm that changes to a lush grassy green when cold.  I loved the color combination on this one.  I used 2 coats but will use 3 next time I wear it to completely cover any visible nail line.  I didn't have any issues with the formula or application on High Garden, everything was smooth sailing here.

Now we move into the duochromes.  I was quit happy to play with these next 2 because I don't really have any duochrome polish in my collection (gasp!).  Jaqen H'ghar is a lovely purple polish that shows reddish, violet and brown tones as you move your hand and use different lighting.  The formula was really lovely and easy to work with.  Application was great.  I used 3 coats for full coverage.

I saved the best for last.  This duochrome beauty is King Slayer.  It's gorgeous and if you pick up any polish from this collection this would be my top recommendation.  King Slayer is an inky eggplant blurple duochorome that at times reads navy and others very deep purple.  The shimmer in this polish helps with the overall effect and color shitfting (my favorite picture is the last oneso glossy and gorgeous).  Formula and application on King Slayer were both wonderful with no issues to discuss.  I used 2 coats for full coverage.
