Earth Day Skittlette (a day late and a buck short)

Yeah, Earth Day was yesterday but I went out to lunch with my mom and then shopping for a little belated birthday celebrating.  And then if you can believe it, I put my boys to bed then layed down with Naomi and passed out at 8:00.  No joke.  So I didn't get around to posting my Earth Day mani yesterday.  But here they are in their full green glory!  Let's take a look.

Different Dimension: Shop, Llarowe, Facebook, Instagram,
Rimmel London: Website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

I started this mani off with Enchanted Polish March 2014.  Whoa I'm loving this polish!  March 2014 sits somewhere between lime and olive.  It is an uber linear holo!  It's amazingly pretty! It's kind of a metallic finish holo.  As I'm sitting here on my couch I can see turquoise and gold sparkles shining inside the holo.  I used 2 coats for full coverage, but if you are a heavy handed painter 1 coat should do it!  Formula and application were both flawless!  I then did my accent and thumb nails with Different Dimension Money.  Money is a milky based polish that's full of turquoise, green black and silver circles, tiny gold squares, yellow hexs and holo green micro glitter.  It's the perfect blend of colors for Earth Day!  Formula and application were both great.  The milky base was easy to work with and built up to full coverage in 3 layers.  Plenty of glitter came out with no fishing needed.  Finally I used Rimmel London Sweetie Crush in Fizzy Appleicious.  Fizzy Appleicious is a very soft, pastel green texture polish.  It was actually lighter than I expected from the display pictures, but it's grown on my and it's perfect for the pastel craze that always comes around this time of year.  It applied very thin so I used 3 coats to build it up.  The formula was easy to work with.  I finished all nails (except the texture nails) with 1 layer of topcoat.

Lynnderella Diamond Light, Cult Nails Be Loco & Enchanted Polish Dime Piece

Good morning there lovelies!  With all this sunshine I promptly started wearing brighter colors on my nails.  I just can't resist them...they suck me in!  The mani I have to share today is made up of 3 beautiful polishes from 3 popular indie brands.  I like how they worked together and created a simple but noticeable mani.

Lynnderella: Shop, Blog, Facebook, Instagram

I started this mani with Enchanted Polish Dime Piece.  One of the most holo-y silver linear holos I have ever tried.  It's totally space age and awesome.  Application and formula were both awesome.  I used 2 coats of Dime Piece.  I used Cult Nails Be Loco on my middle and ring fingers and the "intensely pigmented bright peach toned creme" is really amazing.  I actually found the finish to be more crelly like.  Such a perfect color for the Spring and Summer seasons.  Formula an application were both great.  I used 2 coats of Be Loco.  Finally I topped Be Loco with Lynnderella Diamond Light, a holographic glitter polish full of "silver and pink dots and diamonds dusted with assorted micro glitters."  The mix of silver and pink glitters in Diamond Light is really lovely.  I found the base a touch thin for the glitters and wish I would have gotten more out.  But all in all it turned out nice.  I used 2 coats of Diamond Light.  I finished this mani with 1 layer of topcoat on all nails.

Enchanted Polish Autumn

Good morning dears!  Hope you enjoyed your day yesterday.  Did any of you get up uber early to go Black Friday shopping?  I don't even know what I'm planning to buy this year so I haven't started yet.    Well with all the eating and lazing about I took it easy and decided to throw up antoher quick post.  Hope you don't mind!  I snagged this beauty from the October Enchanted Polish restock.  You can purchase Enchanted Polish from the site.  Defiintely sign up for the newsletter to be notified when restocks are scheduled.  You can follow EP on Facebook and Instagram for sneak peeks of up and coming colors!

Autumn is a beautiful fall colored polish.  It literally has all the colors that remind me of fall in this one polish!  Burgundy, gold, brown, green.  It has a lovely holo effect and a duo-chrome finish.  Application and formula were both great, no issues to bring up.  I used 3 thin layers for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.

Enchanted Polish Vampires Suck

Good morning dear!  It's freezing cold over here and I am dreading getting dressed for the kids soccer games.  I'm not ready to climb out of bed and stand in the cold and get my feet soaked in the wet grass.  Alas, that's the life of a soccer mom.  So I am going to make this a quick post so I can get my kids in their uniforms and out the door!  I was fortunate enough to snag a few pretties at the recent Enchanted Polish restock.  Today I will share one of the Halloween releases!  It's not completely what I expected but I still really liked it.  You can follow Enchanted Polish on Facebook and Instagram (enchantedpolish - Chelsea shows her newest creations that will be available for purchase here).  You can purchase from the SHOP.  Be sure to sign up for email notifications so you don't miss out on restocks!

Here we have Vampires Suck.  It's a very pretty dark brown holo that shows some undertones of red, purple and charcoal.  I tried to get as many pictures as possible to show how different lighting shows this polish.  Overall I think it's a gorgeous color but when I think of vampires I don't think brown.  I think red, blackened red or the deepest burgundy.  The formula was fantastic.  So creamy and lush.  I used 3 coats (only needed 2 but used an extra for good measure).  It applied perfectly.  The linear holo is very pretty - obvious at times and subtle at others.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat and the holo wasn't effected.

Enchanted Polish Kids

Hello polish lovers!  I have a really gorgeous polish to share today.  It really doesn't need many words so I will keep it brief so you can drool heavily!  THIS is Enchanted Polish Kids from the Time to Pretend Collection.  I knew I liked this color, but I didn't know now much I was going to love it.  I love holos but am not the biggest fan of duochromes.  Holo and duochrome together, yes please sign me up!  I see so many beautiful colors; purple, fuchsia, teal, blue, green.  Absolutely stunning!  I even caught myself staring at my nails as I was writing my notes for this post!  One hand was blue and the other was fuchsia!  So awesome.  I used 2 coats of Kids and the formula and application were fantastic.  Zero problems to report.  The holo and color shifting effect were both very strong.  I used 1 layer of topcoat and it did not effect the holo.

Enchanted Polish Afternoon Delight & Lynnderella Her Name Is Petal

Good morning!  It's almost vacation time for me!  But fear not, I shall not leave you with nothing to read....I have guest posts form some amazing bloggers starting on Sunday the 21st!  Yay!  But until then I have a few more posts to share so here is one of them right now!

My obsession with nude holos continues with Enchanted Polish Afternoon Delight.  This beauty was just released in the June restock and I waffled back and forth on getting it.  When the time came I was weak against the holo powers that EP possesses.  I am so glad I got Afternoon Delight.  It's a beautiful pinkish nude with blue shimmer.  The formula was flawless and I got amazing coverage in 2 coats.  And to dress it up just a tad I used Lynnderella Her Name is Petal from the Everything is Coming Up Neon collection that was released in March of this year.  Her Name is Petal is described by Lynn herself as a "multi-glitter with assorted neon, pastel satin and matte glitters in a multi-shimmer clear base."  I had great application with HNIP as well.  Plenty of glitter came out and it spread well on my nails.  Everything laid flat and smooth.  I think the neons really work well with the neutral and nude colors. Together they make a nice pop of color.  I used 2 layers of topcoat on the glitter nails and 1 layer on the holo nails.
