Ninja Polish MIND & CosmoProf 2015 exclusive Streaking Ninja

Hey hey!  I'm back from my excursion in the city (San Francisco).  I enjoyed a short day trip to "Little Italy" for lunch and then hopped over to Japan Town to check out the brand new Tony Moly store!  Fun day if I do say so myself.  And as I promised, here's a nail polish post for you to enjoy!  I received a few pretty holos from Ninja Polish at the after party fun while at CosmoProf in Vegas.  I'll start by saying one of these was an exclusive and you can't buy it but the other is available in the Ninja Polish shop now!  Ok let's jump in and you can see some of the new Ninja Polish that Rhonni has been busy working on!

First I have the exclusive that isn't available for purchase.  This beauty is Streaking Ninja and it was created exclusively for that gals that attended the CosmoProf after parties.  It's a super pretty purple holo.  It's kind of dark, kind of bruised, all kinds of pretty.  The formula and application were both lovely too.  I only needed to use 1 coat for full coverage and no topcoat.  Now a little news on Streaking Ninja...Rhonni said she had a few bottles left over so she plans on doing some giveaways for the extra bottles!  Make sure you watch her Facebook and Instagram pages for your chance to win this gorgeous polish!

Now that the teaser is out of the way we can look at something you CAN buy.  This is MIND from the Infinity Gems collection.  MIND is a beautiful bright blue holo.  It had a great formula that applied so creamy and opaque.  MIND covered perfectly in 1 coat!  I didn't use any topcoat and the polish was nice and shiny on it's own.  MIND is available in the shop and it's $10.

Memorial Day Mani!

Good afternoon!  As most of us Americans are getting ready to enjoy a day off of work and school, firing up the BBQ's and drinking a few cold ones let's remember the real reason behind this holiday.  Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and gratefulness to those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.  To uphold the rights and freedom that we enjoy every day.  Today Americans remember the fallen soldiers who have served our great country.  I am very grateful for all the US soldiers, alive and passed on.  Thank you so much for your dedication to the USA.

For today I chose to go patriotic with my mani, but I needed to stay true to myself so I started out with 3 amazing holos!  Smitten Polish The First Lobster (red), Glitter Gal Light As A Feather (white) and Ninja Polish Glamorous (blue).  I topped them with a reverse glitter gradient of Lumina Lacquer Young Americans.  I seriously adore this red, white and blue glitter polish with all it's hearts, stars and circles!  I am very pleased with how my mani turned out.

Valentine's Nails with Lumina Lacquer No Ordinary Love & Ninja Polish Ambrosia

Good afternoon (early evening?)!  How about a Valentine's mani?  This mani made me so happy - I wore it for 4 days with barely any wear and tear what so ever!  All the polish I used was absolutely fabulous and high quality and I loved them all to pieces!  I used a mix of indie, mainstream and drugstore brands to create this look.   Now that I think of it I used 6 polishes total in this mani!  Let's look at it shall we?

Ninja Polish: Shop, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

Alright, I'll try to keep this short so you can see pictures.  I started with Ninja Polish Ambrosia on my middle finger and thumb.  Ambrosia is a gorgeous red with a pink undertone and loads of red and gold color shifting shimmer.  I used 3 coats of Ambrosia to reach maximum color richness.  I used China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around on my ring and pinky nails.  Dandy Lyin' Around is a white base with tiny silvery flakes.  I used 2 coats of Dandy Lyin' Around.  I topped these nails with Lumina Lacquer No Ordinary Love.  Wow!  I love this glitter polish!  Red, pink and red-orange colored matte glitters in hex, circle, star and heart shapes!  I used 2 coats of No Ordinary Love and the glitter pay-out was huge.  The glitter came out easily and spread evenly on my nails.  With a good thick layer of topcoat my nails were nice a smooth to the touch.  Lastly I decided to do a texture gradient on my index finger nail.  I put OPI Solitaire (white with silvery glitter sparkles) and Magazine Cover Mouse (red with fuchsia and gold glitter sparkles)  on a sponge and applied it to my nail.  I did this about 2 or 3 times to get full color coverage.  I thought the red was too pink toned so I added Julie G Sugar Rush to the top and loved how it gave a red-orange color with some serious gold sparkle factor!  I used 1 layer of topcoat on all nails except the texture nail.

Glow In the Dark Week, Night 1: Ninja Polish Howling Blue Moon

Good evening and welcome to Glow In The Dark week!  I will be posting glow in the dark polishes in the evenings for the next 7 nights.  Why in the evenings you ask?  Well because you can only see the glow at night!  I have never done anything like this before so I am pretty excited about it.  I am also really excited that I actually figured out how to get my glow polishes to work and can capture them in pictures!  So let's jump right in to the first review.

Ninja Polish released Howling Blue Moon last Halloween.  It's a really pretty royal blue polish with holographic microglitters and silver moons.  I loved it last year - you can check out that post HERE (the pictures in this post are color accurate - last year, not so much).   But I was unsuccessful at getting it to glow.  This year is a different story!  GITD (glow in the dark) polish is known to have settling occur so I gave HBM a day to sit upside down and then I shook it pretty vigorously for while and it mixed up perfectly!  I used 3 coats and 1 layer of topcoat.  Formula and application were great.  I love the bright blue glow!  So let's check it out in action!

Fall Mani with Nubar Go Native, Take Off the Mask, Ninja Polish Color Changing Garnet & China Glaze Light As A Feather

Good morning and happy Sunday!  I hope this weekend has treated you well so far.  I've been a busy bee with soccer and festivals and birthday parties.  I find that I am always out and about on the weekends!  I was rocking a new Fall themed mani too and it's so pretty!  I love how it turned out!  So let's get into the details shall we?

I found some new Nubar collections at my beauty supply store and I just couldn't pass up a few of them!  I started this mani with 2 layers of Go Native (thumb, ring and pinky).  This shimmery rusty colored orange has my heart all aflutter!  It has definitely jumped to the front of my favorite orange list.  It's reading much more orange-red in the pictures than it really is.  I then used Take Off the Mask - a deep chocolaty brown with a hint of red and beautiful shimmer.  I used 2 coats of TotM on my index, middle and sponged it onto the tip of my ring finger nail.  Both of these Nubars had fabulous formula and applied so nicely.  If you come across the Wild West collection I definitely suggest you pick these 2 (or any) up!  On my index and middle I used 1 layer of Ninja Polish Color Changing Garnet to have some pretty shifty color changing - and it worked great because my nails were flashing a deep garnet, gold and olive green!  Perfect Fall colors!  I loved CCG and I will definitely use it again soon.  Finally I drew inspiration from this mani by my friend Michelle at Ehmkay Nails and dabbed China Glaze Light As A Feather over the middle section of my ring finger nail (covering the gradient point).  I picked this bar glitter because it was black, pastel orange, white and yellow glitters and those colors seemed Halloweenish to me.  I finished it all off with a layer of topcoat.

Happy 4th of July Part 2!!

I'm baaaaack!  I couldn't do just one mani - nope, not me!  Here's another 4th of July mani for you to enjoy!  Maybe if you haven't done your nails yet you will get some inspiration from me or some of the other fabulous mani pics out there right now (blogger & non-blogger)!

This skittlette is so much fun!  I have been enjoying if for my second day now and I can't stop checking out my own nails!
Here's the breakdown:
Thumb/ring: 2x NOPI Challenge Red-y, 2-3x Lumina Lacquer Young Americans
Index: 2x OPI Solitaire
Middle/pinky: 2x Ninja Polish Glamorous

Young Americans is a fantastic red, white and blue glitter bomb.  It is so much fun, and I love David Bowie so how could I pass up on this polish?  YA is a clear base packed full of stars, hearts, circles, hexs, shards and micro glitter.  The formula and application was on par with all the other Luminas I have reviewed (awesome and gorgeous).  Tons of glitter came out with each brush dip and it spread easily on my nails.  I did use topcoat AND Gelous on the glitter nails to a smooth finish.  Glamorous is, well, what can I say.  It's amazing!  What a stunning blue holo it is.  And the formula?  To die for!  If you need a blue holo this is the one you should get!  I used 2 coats and 1 layer of topcoat.
