Girly Bits Stormy Skies & Darling Diva Polish May the Force Be With You

Good evening!  I'm tired.  Mentally and mentally. Oops, did I repeat myself?  See, my brain is fried.  Before it turns completely to mush I wanted to share a quick post of a mani that I absolutely adored!  You'll notice my nails are a bit longer than they are now and that's because I wore this mani a couple weeks back.  This was actually a mani I painted to wear for a race.  It was a gloomy, rainy day and it poured on all the racers pretty hard before the beginning so we went into in wet and cold.  But within the first 5 minutes the rain stopped, and the sun peeked in and out of clouds onto the hills and bay.  It was a gorgeous course and I ended up taking 2nd in my age group (which was unexpected).  So I'd like to think this mani featuring 2 of my dear friends (Carrie - Darling Diva Polish  and Pam - Girly Bits) polishes brought me some good luck!  I'll need them again next weekend as I'll be lacing up my shoes for another race!  So let's jump in and check out what I've got for you!  Oh, and both of these polishes are still currently available in the shops!

Girly Bits Sea's the Day: Stormy Skies & Sailor's Delight

Good evening!  I'm feeling so happy because I have MORE Girly Bits to show you and that just makes me smile.  The 2 in this post are pretty special, they are from the Sea's The Day Collection, Pam's FIRST collection from Fall 2011!  Isn't that totally amazing?!  Well both of these fabulous shades are still available for purchase and I highly recommend that you do get them, I adored them both!

What can I say about Stormy Skies other than it's a perfect stormy sky shade in a bottle.  Pam describes Stormy Skies as a "medium blue-grey with a hint of micro glitter that shows green or gold."  Stormy Skies had a nice formula...easy to use and work with.  I'd suggest letting each coat dry completley before adding the next.  Stormy Skies dries with a bit of a grit but a layer of topcoat smoothes it out nicely.  I used 3 coats of Stormy Skies for full coverage.

Sailor's Delight is flat out amazing.  It's described as a "deep red-orange jelly with incredible gold micro-glitter."  In some lighting it is more red, in others much more orange.  My pictures in direct sun are definiltley showing the red tones.  I found the formula and application of Sailor's Delight to be... delightful!  The coverage was very nice and opaque in 3 coats.  I did use a layer of topcoat for an uber glossy look.  If you are a fan of red-orange polish you will need Sailor's Delight in your life!
