Good morning beauties.  I have a lovely post to share with you featuring the brand new Sweet Nothings collection from Girly Bits.  This collection was inspired by French Macarons!  The majority of the collection consists of pastel shades with silver flakes and silvery shimmer.  I'm a total cookie monster for these sweet little delicacies so I have a major crush on this collection.  Sweet Nothings released this yesterday (5/14) at 12noon Eastern.  You can pick up the entire collection now until 5/21 for the lower price of $108 CAD ($1 savings per bottle).  Otherwise you can get individual bottles of $16.50 CAD.  Girly Bits is also launching Macaron Lip Butter Melts, adorable macaron containers full of rich and emollient lip balm.  The lip balms are created by Alter Ego Body Care Products and I just shared a review of those products a couple days ago!  You can see my link HERE for my thoughts.  Macaron Lip Butter Melts run for $5 CAD and there are 9 flavors available. So lets jump in and check out this sweet collection!

Valentine's Day Nails

Good morning lovelies!  I think it's high time that I start posting some Valentine's Day mani ideas, what do you think?  I'm very proud of this one because not only is it pretty, but I STAMPED!!  I did!   And it came out pretty good too!  Good thing you are looking at my left hand and not my right hand though.  I used a mix of drugstore and indie brands, but since drugstore brands are fairly easy to come across I will only list the indie I used today.  Well let's take look at this pretty little ditty.

The Nail Junkie: Shop, Blog, Facebook, Instagram
Sinful Colors: Website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

I started this mani with LA Girl Dazzling Pink, a scattered holo, on my ring and pinky nails.  This is such a lit from within holo.  Dazzling Pink is very flashy - I love that about it.   I used 3 coats for full depth and coverage.  I also used Barry M Dragon Fruit, a bubblegum pink polish with very light silver shimmer.  Dragon Fruit is a fantastic jelly finish and it is so easy to work with it with amazing color payoff!  I used 3 coats of Dragon fruit and then stamped a cutesy heart on top with Sinful Colors Black on Black.  I used Black on Black as the base for my middle and thumb nails.  Such an fabulous 1-coater black creme!  I topped that with 2 coats of The Nail Junkie Cupcake - the most adorable glitter combination of light pink, hot pink and red circles with a good helping of holo shimmer in a clear base.  Application and formula of Cupcake were both wonderful - loads of glitter came out with each brush dip and the glitter spread nicely on it's own without manipulation.  I finished off with 1 layer of topcoat.

Darling Diva Polish Booty Call & Pretender

Good morning readers!  I have more lovely Darling Diva Polish to share with you today!  I have been wearing a lot form this brand lately and I have nothing but great things to say about the formula and application!  Carrie creates unique and gorgeous polish that is really well made.  Both of the ones in my post today are from Llarowe (I see only one is showing in stock) as well as a huge listing of other colors.  Be sure to follow Llarowe on Facebook and Instagram (llarowe) as well for stock updates and sales!  You can also follow Darling Diva Polish on Facebook.

Alright - let's talk polish!  This is Booty Call.  I love the name!  I can't remember off the top of my head which collection this is from, but wouldn't it be funny for Valentine's Day?  Ha!  Booty Call is a milky based polish, slightly pinkish in color.  It's chalk full of black, red and magenta micro glitters.  I am totally digging this one!  I really think it's pretty and applied so easily.  I used 3 coats with 1 layer of topcoat.  It's so glossy and milky how can you resist it?  I can imagine how cute it will be with some heart stamps and nail art.  The formula was perfect, easy to use and apply.  No issues with glitter coming out or spreading evenly on my nails.

As much as I liked Booty Call, I like Pretender even more!  Again, I am not positive on the specifics of which collection this comes from but it's so pretty does it really matter?  Pretender is another milky based polish with a pinkish tint.  It's full of circle glitters in different sizes and colors.  I am a huge fan of circle glitters, they are just so much fun!  Pretender also had an amazing formula.  It was easy to work with and the circles came out easily and in abundance.  They spread out nicely and laid flat on my nails.  I used 3 coats with 1 layer of topcoat.

Red Dog Designs Ball Pit

It's already morning again?  Where does the time go?  Well good morning to you since I have another amazing circle polish to share with you!  YAY - buy all the circle glitter polishes!!  This one comes from Red Dog Designs and it was actually a gift from Gina.  The name was a silly joke and she will have changed it for her shop to Ball Pit (isn't that cute!), so I will just call it Ball Pit in this post.  Ball Pit a yet to be released polish but be sure to follow her on FacebookStore, and IG (reddogdesigns) to be informed when it's available!

Ball Pit is an amazing circle glitter polish in a clear base.  The circles come in a rainbow of colors as well as different sizes.  You'll see small, medium and large circles.  Some of the circles are even holo glitters!  To make it even better Gina put a good amount of holo sparkle in there to up the bling factor.  Ball Pit is just WOW!  The formula was wonderful and I have no issues to report.  A good amount of circles came out with no fishing required.  They spread easily on my nail and laid flat.  I used 2 coats of Ball Pit over 2 coats of Illamasqua Venous.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Alanna Renee Golden Snitch

Hey there polish friends!  I'm back with another amazing polish from the Alanna Renee Magical World Collection!  If you missed it I posted Patronus yesterday and you can see it HERE.  Alanna Renee is a new indie brand that comes from Australia.  She opened up shop in January 2013 and already has a ton of great polishes.  The Magical World collection is inspired by Harry Potter and I really love all the colors!  For all the international buyers (non-Australian residents) Alanna Renee is available through Color4Nails.  You can contact Color4Nails on Facebook, IG (color4nails) or just send Sisi an email with your order inquiry: color4nails21@gmail.com.

Golden Snitch is a stuning golden glittter bomb.  Guess what, it has gold circle glitters…you had me at hello!  I wanted to give you a description of the Golden Snitch but I am so wordy.  Alanna does an excellent job explaining both the Snitch and the polish so I pulled this directly from her website, "Golden Snitch is inspired by the small walnut sized gold ball with silver wings used in Quidditch.  It flies around the Quidditch field at fast speeds and is nearly impossible to see.  The seeker's job is to catch the snitch before the other team's seeker winning their team 150 points and ending the game.  Golden snitch has a mix gold glitter and silver micro glitter in a clear base."  I was very impressed with Golden Snitch.  It had a great formula and covered opaquely on it's own in 2 coats.   It spread easily and didn't glop up despite the heavy dose of glitter.  Did I mention it had gold circle glitters?  Swoon, my weakness!  If you are looking for an ultra blingy and sparkly polish, Golden Snitch may be what you seek (haha - get it, did you see what I did there?  Seek?  Seeker?  Quiditch?  Ok, I'll be quiet now).  I finished this with 1 layer of topcoat for smooth to the touch nails.

The Nail Junkie Cupcake

InstagramI have such a gorgeous polish combo to share with you today!  And an indie first for me!  I recently received some Nail Junkie polishes and I was really pleased with the quality and uniqueness of the polishes.   I have 2 more to wear and am looking forward to playing with them!
I started with 2 coats of Layla 04 - the hot pink soft touch.  It's REALLY hot pink!  It has a very pretty suede type finish without topcoat and was easy formula to work with.  It also dried fairly quickly.  I used 2 coats of The Nail Junkie Cupcake on top.  Cupcake is circle glitters…yes I said CIRCLES!!  Different shades of pink and red in a clear base with silvery glimmer (glitter & shimmer).  It's really gorgeous!  I got a good amount of glitter on each nail without having to dig.  I like how the silver shimmer really shows up well.  I accented a nail with a special polish made for me!  Happy V-Day Jen! is a clear base with a glowy red glitter and red, pink and white hearts.  It was so much fun to use and stunning over the hot pink!  The red glitter really stands out and I think that made it a special polish.   The hearts and circle glitters layed flat on the nail.  I used a layer of topcoat to smooth everything out.

Have you tried The Nail Junkie polishes yet?  I'd highly recommend you do post haste!

And you can follow me on Facebook and Instagram as well!
