Cirque Colors Coven
Good evening dears. I hope you had a lovely Sunday. Mine was so very meh. Second day out here in the middle of nowhere and my sons soccer team took a whooping all weekend. And it rained on us the entire second game today. I sure hope none of us end up sick. Anywho, I've got a gorgeous deep, jewel tone purple from Cirque to show you tonight. It looks like the sky I see out my car window right now (I promise I am the passenger and not the driver). Coven was actually part of the All Holo's Eve Trio (a set with Lacquer Lust and Serum No 5). The trio was limited edition and these collaboration boxes have been pretty popular so they do sell out. I am hopeful that there will be a Christmas trio from these loverly ladies on the horizon soon! So let's jump in and check out Coven!
*nothing to disclose*
Coven is an "indigo jelly with an orange to green shimmer effect." Holy moly this is a gorgeous polish! I love it's dark, broody shade of purple and the shimmer are what really make the polish. I wore Coven for a few days and it was such an eye-catcher. I spent a good portion of my daylight hours o moving my hands around to see the glints of colors changes. The formula and application were really great. On par with a jelly, a bit sheer, but buildable. No issues with application. I used 3 coats of Coven and finished with a layer of topcoat.

I had several friends who were curios if Coven was a dupe for Coronation. I am happy to report that it's definitely not. I've got some pictures to show you too!
I've got 3 layers of Coronation on my accent nail to show how it looks net to Coven. You can see the color is completely different - more magenta. And there is no green shift in the shimmer.

Zoya Naturel Deux
Good morning! I know you've seen these on many a blog already, well now it's my turn! The Zoya Naturel Deux collection is a set of 3 delicious browns and 3 stunning berry creme polishes! The brown shades remind me of rich chocolates (which is why I created chocolate drizzle nails with there - you can see it HERE) and they berry's are the perfect feminine and sweet polishes to bring us into the Fall season. I wanted to see how the Deux set held up to the original set so I did a couple comparisons at the end of the post. The Naturel Deux collection is available as a set for $54 or individually for $9 a bottle.
*PRESS SAMPLE*
Up first I have Madeline, "a full-coverage muted, rose cream." I love the light shade, it's sitting somewhere close to mauve territory but in a good way. The formula was creamy and smooth and it applied like butter. I used 2 coats of Madeline and no topcoat.
Aubrey is a "full-coverage, medium mauve cream." I definitely see Aubrey leaning more berry toned, but there is definitely some mauve in there as well. Again, perfectly creamy and smooth formula that literally applied itself. I used 2 coats of Aubrey and no topcoat.
Marnie is the deepest of the berries and is a "full-coverage, deep warm plum cream." Marnie is rich and a little dusty and all kinds of gorgeous. There are some brown undertones in Marnie which I think helps with the richness of the shade. Fabulous formula and perfect application. I used 2 coats of Marnie and no topcoat.
Moving on to the brown shades, this is Spencer. Spencer is a "full-coverage, rich camel cream." This warm nude looks like a rich and luxurious camel coat. I think it's the perfect neutral for any outfit. formula and application were both amazing. Very creamy and buttery. I used 2 coats of Spencer and no topcoat.
Chanelle is a "full-coverage, toasted almond cream." Chanelle makes me hungry because she looks like melted milk chocolate. This color is so beautiful and like Spencer, luxurious. Just a touch above a neutral but I still think you could wear this with any outfit. The formula and application were both fabulous - smooth, creamy, buttery. I used 2 coats of Chanelle and no topcoat.
And last but not least is the delectable Emilia. Emilia is a "full-coverage, dark chocolate cream." Indeed it is. This is the other brown that really made me hungry! This beautiful polish is so decadent in color and formula. The creme is amazingly buttery and smooth. Also shiny! I used 2 coats of Emilia and no topcoat.
I did a couple comparisons between the Naturels and the Naturel Duex's just because I wanted to see how they matched up. None are the same but they are so complimentary to each other! I'm eager to use the sets together for some lovely nail art now. For the pictures I have on 2 coats of each polish.

OPI DS Couture
OPI DS Couture, I love you. You are gorgeous. Your coral-pink base with super holo rainbow shine make me so happy. You are classy and feminine. But you are ready to party. You are perfect. Don't tell your siblings but you are my favorite. Shhhhh! It'll be our secret.
Oh, were you listening to me talk to my polish? Ehem, that was embarrassing. Well a super sweet polish friend happened upon this bottle of heaven and remembered that I desperately wanted it. So it happened that Couture became mine! It is all I wanted it to be and more. The color is the perfect blend of coral and pink. The formula was surprisingly great for an early holo (it is my opinion that holos pre-2012 were mostly thin, watery and streaky. But recently they are much thicker with a creamy formula but not skimping on holoiness). When I applied Couture I did worry it was going to be thin and watery but that was not the case at all. I got full coverage in 2 coats. I used 1 layer of topcoat and the holo effect was not affected.
Now the sad part - this is not an easy to find polish. It's old, from 2008 I believe. It's discontinued. You might find it on ebay but it will cost you. If you see it on the cheap buy it without a second thought. So what do you think of OPI DS Couture?
**before we start the pictures I just want to say sorry for the wonky hand poses…I truly cannot hold an OPI bottle nicely.
And now a quickie little comparison. I happened to have OPI Crim Sun and Coral Reef and they all look similar, no? So lets see how they look on the nails. I used 2 coats of each color and then a layer of topcoat.
