GR8
China Glaze GR8, from the OMG collection that came out in 2009 (?), is a softly linear yellow/gold holo. All of the OMG's are extremely hard to find, and go for a pretty penny if you can find someone to sell/swap you one. Actually GR8 is one of the less sought after ones of the collection so it's not as crazy expensive. But is really quite lovely in an understated holo kind of way.
I used 2 coats over base coat and no top coat. The polish went on smoothly with no bald spots and no dragging - which is usually a problem with holos. I skipped the top coat because after consulting the internet I read that the topcoat would lessen the holo effect in these particular polishes.
This is one hard little bugger to capture with the camera. In real life GR8 is beautiful, subtle, glowy, holo-y. A great polish to wear out in the sun. So my pictures don't do GR8 justice, but here they are anyways. Enjoy!

FEVERshadow District 12 Soot
District 12 Soot is part of the FEVERshadow Hunger Games trio. I have reviewed all three shadows now, you can see the others here and here. But I had only used D12S as an accent shadow/liner and wanted to spotlight this on it's own because it's really quite lovely.
District 12 Soot is a black matte shadow with golden brown flecks throughout. You can see these flecks well in the jar on on the eyelids. D12S applied easily and smoothly using both a brush and my finger to get the perfectly blended dark shadow look. I always think of models lazing about in bed with uber messy hair, yet somehow perfect makeup when I wear dark matte shadows like this. Of course in my imagination this all takes place in a hotel room in France. So in other words it made me feel sexy.
Out of the 3 cream shadows from the set, this one faded the most after a day's wear (8-ish hours). But because it does go on darker than the other 2, you may actually like it a bit lightened up after some wear time. In my opinion it did not fade so much that I felt I needed to reapply.
Check out other products from FEVERshadow and FEVERlacquer here! FYI - Casandra has a new store name, Wishful Bath & Beauty and is going to start making body products AND a new line of summer eyeshadow! Go give her page a "Like."

Green Hawaii
This will be a quickie, because sadly I am not in love with this polish. I wore GOSH Green Hawaii the other day. This is a hard to find baby and after owning it for a few months I decided it was time to put it on. It's really a lovely lime green, slightly metallic in finish. But the real beauty of this polish is all the holo particles inside it. It's really loaded! It was very sheer but I was able to build it up with 3 layers. The particles seem to look lumpy and bumpy on my nail, which I don't like at all. In Green Hawaii's defense the holo particles were really beautiful in the sunlight. Maybe I needed to try this with a layer of Gelous and then topcoat? Either way I was disapointed, and sad that I'm writing my first non-in-love review. So take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think.

Sweets Way
Nails Inc recently came out with these adorably cute polishes called Sprinkles. Each bottle has a picture of a cupcake on it and the polish itself looks like something you would see sprinkled on top of a desert. Super cute! Of course there were only available in the UK so my friend Kim was able to purchase one and ship it to me.
Out of the 4 I liked Sweets Way the most. It consists of white, pink and robins egg blue glitters in a milky white base. The first layer had me skeptical I wouldn't get full coverage without underwear, but I was actually able build up the layers to be opaque in 3 coats. The glitter spread easily and covered my nail well. I didn't have to manipulate the glitter. It was topcoat hungry, so I used 2 layers of topcoat.
Now I've heard two rumors about the Sprinkles collection. 1) removal is a PITA. 2) us US gals should be able to get them at Sephora sometime this summer. Don't quote me on either of those though.

FEVERshadow Effie's Trinket + District 12 Soot
I recently wore and reviewed FEVERshadow cream shadow in Rue's Wildflowers. This was part of the Hunger Games Trio and today I'm reviewing the other two from that collection.
Effie's Trinket is a beautiful metallic gold with pink glitter. It's a very vibrant yellow gold that really stands out. The cream shadow has amazing color payoff and it really lasts a long time! I found that Effie's Trinket was easier to apply with a shadow brush that I dipped into the stirred cream pot (I did a quick stir with a toothpick before use) than my usual finger tip method for applying cream shadow. Some of the oils leaked out of the pot in transit so this shadow was a bit crumbly but still worked perfectly fine. ET went on smoothly like a cream should. It did not clump upon application and it had that same minty smell that Rue's Wildflowers did. There was no creasing after a whole day's worth of wear. I did see the pink glitter in the pot, but not so much on my eyelid. No matter, it's still a beautiful eyeshadow that I see myself wearing all summer long!
District 12 Soot is a black-brown matte. It applies much like the others, easily and smoothly. No clumping or creasing, minty scent and amazing color payoff. Using a shadow brush I put D12S in the outer corner of my eyes and on the outside edge of the crease. I also used it as liner on the outer edge of my lower lid. D12S is the perfect compliment to Effie's Trinket. I would actually like to try D12S on my lids solo - when I do, you know I will post it here!!
You can find information about FEVERshadow on their Facebook page. Also check out the new page Wishful Bath & Beauty…same maker of FEVERlacquer and FEVERshadow plus awesome new items coming soon!!

Gabriella + Louise + Space Queen
I've got ALOT of essence on my nails right now. And I love that! I received a few of the essence Twins from my swap friend Dulce. Gabriella and Louise don't go together by couple/name, but they match up really well anyways. Just for fun I decided to top everything off with Space Queen because, well because I can. Ha.
Gabriella is the twin to Troy (from High School Musical). Gabriella is a beautiful violet purple with a purple/blue shimmer. It really glows. I used 2 coats of Gabriella and the formula was perfection! Perfect coverage, beautiful color, uber shiny.
I used 1 coat of Louise, from the Twin set Thelma and Louise. Louise is a glitter top coat that consists of micro purple glitter with purple and violet squares in a clear base. It's a very fun glitter, unlike anything have in my glitter stash. This was another perfect formula. I only needed 1 coat of Louise to get full glitter coverage on my nails.
For the grand finale, I put 1 coat of Space Queen on top of everything for an extra dose of sparkly bling. Space Queen is an iridescent glitter top coat that flashes rainbow colors in the light. The glitter is uni form in size and suspended in a clear base. I feel it gave a very fun touch to my mani.
