Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas!  Did Santa come to your house?  He came to mine and my kids are ecstatic!  So this will be quick!  I wanted to wish you a very Happy Holiday and good tidings to you and your loved ones.  I look forward to watching the joy in my kids faces and eating the delectable tamales I made with my family.  Enjoy your day and hope you like my mani!

Elevation Polish: Blog, Shop, LlaroweInstagram

I used some pretty fabulous polishes for this mani!  I started with a-England Tess D-Urbervilles, a very dark hunter green with mini emerald green flakes.  Tess is a stunning color full of depth and glamour.  I used 2 coats for full coverage and optimum depth.  Formula and application were both flawless.  I used Tess on my thumb, index and middle fingers.  I topped Tess with Elevation Polish Yeti <3's the Holidays.  Holy moly this is a gorgeous Christmas glitter mix.  It's packed full of satin and matte white glitters in fun shapes like hearts, circles and squares.  There are also red and green matte circles and gold holo stars.  But the best part of Yeti is the gold shimmer.  It's absolutely amazing.  And it has the perfect amount of shimmer so that it doesn't turn frosty or block out the base color.  Lulu really knocked this one out of the park, it's truly amazing.  Formula and application were both fabulous.  I used 2 coats.  I then used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Santa's Sunburn on my ring and pinky finger nails.  Santa's Sunburn is a scorch your eyes "red foil with tiny flecks of silver."  I adore this red!  I used 2 coats for maximum eye-burnage.  Formula and application were wonderful.  I finished this mani with 1 layer of topcoat over Santa's Sunburn and 2 coats over my glitter nails.

Colors by Llarowe The Man in the Red Suit

Good evening!  The count down has begun...we are winding down for the night, having dinner and spending time together watching Christmas movies.  The kids are eagerly awaiting Santa's arrival!  I thought it would be fitting to share this beautiful red ho ho holo!  Let's look at at it shall we?

Colors by Llarowe: Shop, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

The Man in the Red Suit is a metallic red linear holo.  It takes on different colors depending on the lighting.  Indoors you can see more of a pink-berry shade.  In the sunshine you can see that it's clearly a true red color.  Both shades are pretty and I found that I'd frequently check out my nails to see which shade it appeared by moving my fingers around.  I especially loved the flare!  It was a very red-orange color with a teeny bit of purple in the middle.  So pretty.  Formula and application of The Man in the Red Suit were both fabulous.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.

Christmas Eve Mani with OPI Magazine Cover Mouse, Zoya Chita, Orly Au Champagne & Nubar Glittified

Good morning and Merry Christmas Eve to those of you who celebrate.  Happy Tuesday to those who don't.  It's a beautiful day here and I hope you are feeling chipper!  This will be a quickie because I need to get a job in before I head over to my grandparents house to exchange gifts.  I threw this together and was so pleased with how it turned out!  Texture polish always adds a special something to a skittlette.  I hope you like my Christmas Eve mani.

I started this with OPI Magazine Cover Mouse - a red liquid sand polish with gold and hot pink sparkles.  I love this color and coincidentally, this red/pink color is very hot for the winter season.  I used 2 coats and Magazine Cover Mouse had amazing formula and application.  I used Orly Au Champagne on my ring and pinky finger nails as a base for other colors.  I adore Au Champagne.  It's my hands down favorite white polish.  It has a slight matte finish and it's so soft and lovely.  I used 2 coats.  I then used Zoya Chita, a hunter green pixie dust to freehand draw a Christmas tree with a thin art brush.  I topped it with a gold holo star I fished out of a random glitter polish.  I also used Chita on my thumb.  2 coats provided perfect coverage.  The color is really beautiful and unique for a texture polish.  I topped Au Champagne with Nubar Glittified on my pinky.  Glittified is a sparkly micro glitter polish that's full of season cheer!  Red, green and silver glitter in a clear base are perfect to add a holiday touch to any mani!  I used 2 coats of Glittified.  I didn't use topcoat on this mani.

Lumina Lacquer The Snow King and Colors by Llarowe Woman from Tokyo

Good evening dears!  I have a lovely mani to share and just didn't want to wait!  It still has a holiday feel but it's not red, green, white or blue - GASP!  It's all about the purple, silver, gold and HOLO!  I quite like how it turned out.  I used some of my favorite brands for this mani - ones you've seen plenty of before on my blog so I'll skip introductions and jump into the online links.

I started this with 2 coats of China Glaze Gothic Lolita.  Gothic Lolita is from the 2012 Electropop collection and is a very lovely medium purple with some gorgeous shimmer.  It had a fabulous formula and great application.  I topped it with Lumina Lacquer The Snow King.  I love this glitter mix.  It's full of gold, silver and 2 shades of purple holo glitter in fun shapes - circles, snowflakes, stars, hearts and snowmen.  Sadly I didn't get any snowmen out this time.  But the nice thing is you can avoid pulling those glitter shapes out and this can be a year round color!  The Snow King had great formula and application.  Loads of glitter came out with each brush dip and it the glitter laid nice and flat on my nails.  I finished this with Colors by Llarowe Woman From Tokyo, a deep purple linear holo.  It's a very pretty color and it had a fantastic formula.  Application was a breeze.  I used 2 coats for full coverage.  I only used topcoat on my glitter nails.

Simply Holiday Mani featuring Lumina Lacquer Wrapped in Red and Lynnderella Ice the Snowcake, Emerald Hope & Ruby Red Ruby

Good morning beauties!  I have a couple lovely holiday manis to share and I'll start with this one because it's one of the best reds I've ever put on my fingers.  I am so much in love with it it's unbelievable.  Lumina Lacquer is well know for glitter bombs but I have to say her solid colors this season were pretty darn amazing.  I accented this mani with a trio of Lynnderella Christmas colors just to jazz it up a bit.  So let 's just jump in and start looking at pictures!

Lumina Lacquer has jumped up the ranks as one of my favorite polish brands this year.  I've always loved Tatiana's glitter combinations but this season she released a couple solid colors that truly stole my heart.  Wrapped In Red is a gorgeous cherry red creme base with flashes of fuchsia shimmers and scattered red holo sparkles.  The formula was wonderfully creamy and so opaque.  It's easily a 1-coater, but because of habit I used 2 thin coats.  Application was truly wonderful.  I then accented a nail with a few Lynnderellas to create a Christmassy Lynnderlayering.  I used 1 layer of Ruby Red Ruby as the base.  RRR is a beautiful blend of red glitters in a slightly red tinted base.  I topped RRR with 1 coat of Emerald Hope, a pretty mix of green and turquoise glitters in a clear base.  Finally I used 1 layer of Ice the Snowcake for that lightly sprinkled with snow effect.  Ice the Snowcake is a mix of pure white glitters in a clear base.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat on all nails.

Red Dog Designs Samples

Good afternoon everyone!  I have a couple gorgeous and unique Red Dog Designs polishes to share today and they are very swoon-worthy.  Gina, the mastermind behind Red Dog Designs excels at glitter bombs, but these solid based polishes are pretty darn fantastic!  So let's take a look at these and maybe you can help me in my plight to convince her to include polish like these in her core line.

Red Dog Designs:  Shop, Facebook, Instagram

Both of these are unnamed, one of a kind polishes that Red Dog Designs was testing out.  This one is a stunning spring green loaded with tiny green and gold flecks.  It's a gorgeous, glowy color that I can't get enough of.  Formula and application were both amazing, smooth flowing and creamy.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and maximum depth and no topcoat.  Look how shiny it is!

The other unnamed one of a kind (actually this one is a two of a kind), tester polish is a fabulous shade of purple with purple and blurple shifting shimmer.  I am deeply in lust with this one and am a happy girl that it's mine!  I used 2 coats for full coverage.  This one dries to a semi-matte finish and to show off the shimmer to it's fullest amazingness I used a layer of topcoat.
