Lumina Lacquer New Wave

Good morning!  Hope you had a lovely weekend!  I did but Monday's always come too soon.  Oh well, I am not going to let the Monday blues get me down so let's look at a bright and fun mani I did to show off an LE Lumina Lacquer, New Wave.

Lumina Lacquer: Shop, Facebook, Instagram

New Wave is so much fun!  It's a nod to the 80's and is a clear base packed full of sequin (aka donut) glitters in metallic pink, red and gold.  This glitter is very different from any I've tried before and even thought it wasn't the easiest to apply I still liked it a lot.  New Wave isn't a spread on the nail type polish, it's definitely one that you need to dab on.  That does give you room for creating specific looks and patterns with the glitters.  The donuts did come out easily though so no issues with that.  I put New Wave over a gradient of Pretty Serious Cosmetics Generally Hazardous and My Darlin' Clementine.  I finished with 2 layers of topcoat.

Candeo Colors

Good morning!  I hope your Saturday morning is treating you well and I hope the weather is warming up where you are.  It's been nice and toasty here and I brought out my flip flops and capris this past week!  It also seems like a good time to start showing you some brighter colors!  So let's start with some Candeo Colors.  I have a couple new colors and a couple old favorites.  You can also create your very own version of Sprouse (a super pretty blend of black and white glitter with your choice of colored glitter and shimmer)!  I know I am highly interested in creating a Signature Sprouse!  But for now let's jump in and take a look and the ones I have today!

Candeo Colors: Shop, Facebook, Twitter

This is Supernova, a new color to the Candeo lineup.  Whoa hello gorgeous neon pink polish!  Supernova is described as a "bright pink base polish with a blue shimmer."  I am head over heels for this bright color because it just screams warm weather.  I found the formula was great, easy to apply.  I used 3 coats and had just the tiniest but of visible nail line left.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.  *use a good base coat because Supernova did stain my nails*

Jellybean is a perfect polish for Spring time and Easter!  Jellybean is a "creamy yellow base with chartreuse, lime and pink shimmer" with "pink, purple and turquoise hex glitter."  There is definitely a big cuteness factor to Jellybean.  It does put into mind Easter baskets with bright colored candy and grass.  The formula and application were both great.  Plenty of glitter came out with each coat and spread well on my nails.  I got full coverage with 3 coats.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Deep Space is amazing.  The end.  Ok really.  Deep Space is described as a "semi sheer base that is a deep green, but under certain lighting conditions will color shift to blue/purple.  It contains micro teal glitter and a light sprinkle of large diver holo hex glitter."  This polish has real depth to it and I found myself gazing into my nails while I was wearing it.  Like the description said, it was a bit sheer, but the formula and application were both great.  I used 4 coats of Deep Space and 1 layer of topcoat.

Lastly is Nightflight, another new addition to Candeo Colors.  Wow, this is another beautiful and rich color!  Nightflight is described as a "luscious navy blue-black shimmer polish."  This blue is just so stunning.  I found the formula and application to be perfect, very creamy and opaque.  I used 2 coats of Nightflight and 1 layer of topcoat.

Liquid Sky Lacquer Holos

Good morning!  Sorry for falling off the map!  When I do theme weeks it takes alot out of me and I need a break from my blog afterwards.  But I'm back now and have some lovely holos from Liquid Sky Lacquer for you to look at.  I'd only tried 1 other polish from this brand and I did enjoy it quite a bit.  I just couldn't resist these ones and I'm happy I picked them up.  I am definitely looking forward to the Spring line up - there is a restock at 2:00 pm PST today!  Liquid Sky Lacquer has a range of polish in glitter, holo and thermal finishes.  She even has some texture and cremes!  Something for everyone.  Let's dive in and take a look at these pretty holos!

This is Thinking Of You from the Valentine's duo.  It's a pretty, cool toned greyed-purple holo with some purple micro glitter and shimmer added in for interest.  The colors and mix of glitter and holo work well together and create a fun polish.  Formula and application were both good.  I used 3 coats of Thinking Of You and 1 layer of topcoat.

Love Is In The Air, the other half of the Valentine's Duo was my favorite of the pair.  This light pink holo showed off the addition of the shimmer and soft pink micro glitter much better than Thinking of You.  I like how this pink was warmer toned because it complimented my skin better.  Formula and application were both good.  I used 3 coats of Love Is In The Air and 1 layer of topcoat.

Glistening Coral is a glowy pink ultra holo.  It is a very pretty color, but I have to point out that it's not coral at all.  It's definitely pink.  Regardless, the holo is amazing and the color is nice.  Glistening Coral had an awesome formula and it applied like butter.  I used 3 coats of Glistening Coral and no topcoat.

Head To The Bahamas is my favorite of this bunch.  Of course it is...nude holo is my favorite!  This is a gorgeous sandy nude base with the perfect amount of holo.  It really does make me want to go plant myself on a beach on some tropical island.  Head To The Bahamas had a nice, creamy formula and was more opaque than the others in this post.  Application was a breeze.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.

Glitter Week: Day 6, Lumina Lacquer

Good morning and welcome to day 6 of Glitter Week!  This might be my last post for this theme week because tonight is my oldest son's birthday party (he's turning 8!) and I just don't think I'll have time to swatch anything to show you tomorrow.  But at least I am leaving you with an awesome post full of absolutely stunning Lumina Lacquers!  I'm a big Lumina fan, I love everything Tatiana puts out!  Her glitters are completely packed full of glitter and the combinations are unique, interesting and fun!  On top of that her solid/holo colors are down right amazing.  Luminas are released in limited stock and some are only released a couple times before she moves on to another collection.  So if you see something you want pick it up right away or you'll pine over it later (which I am currently doing with 2 older ones that for the life of me I can't find).

*some of the polishes in this post were gifts*

Lumina Lacquer: Shop, Facebook, Instagram

Nothing Compares 2U is from the Mixed Tape Collection.  This collection came out around Valentine's day and was full of pink, reds and a couple blue glitter bombs.  I was immediately drawn to Nothing Compared 2U because I adore the mix of pink and gold holo glitters.  It's a combination that works so well!  There are circles, hearts and hexs in here.  I found the formula and application of Nothing Compares 2U perfect.  I am always happy with the amount of glitter that I get out on each nail, it spread well and lays flat on my nails.  I used 2 coats of Nothing Compares 2U over 1 coat of Catrice Steel My Soul.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Pinball Wizard is an LE from 2102 and is so awesome!  I really like matte and satin glitters and Pinball Wizard is totally full of them in a rainbow of colors.  There are loads of shapes in here - hearts, mini stars, diamonds, moons, circles, squares and hexs.  The formula and application of Pinball Wizard were both great.  I was able to get alot of glitter out but to fill in empty spaces I did a little dabbing.  I used 2 coats of Pinball Wizard over 2 coats of Kiko 337.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Dreamlover is another polish from the recent Mixed Tape Collection.  Dreamlover is a gorgeous blend of hot pink matte stars, hearts, squares and hex glitters with iridescent glitters and blue shimmer!  The application and formula of Dreamlover were both fabulous.  Fabulous glitter payoff and the glitters spread easily on my nails.  I used 2 coats of Dreamlover over 2 coats of Sation Oh My Oceania.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Crushing Candy is another of last years LE's and it's a bright and cheerful mix of matte rainbow glitters in circle and hex shapes.  I like that this mix of colors is great for anytime of year and really wold brighten up any day!  The formula and application of Crushing Candy were both great.  Tons of glitter came out and spread well on my nails.  I used 2 coats of Crushing Candy over 2 coats of Barry M Coral.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Walking On Broken Glass is an LE that was recently released in a collection of microglitters.  Walking On Broken Glass has changed my opinion on micro glitters...I am now obsessed and will have to keep my eye out for any of the others from this collection on the polish sale boards!  Walking On Broken Glass is a beautiful blend of silver and blue micro glitters with a dash of holo shimmer.  The nice thing is that you can built this up on it's own in a couple coats or use 1 coat over a base color.  I chose to wear it alone and built it up to full coverage in 3 coats.  1 layer of topcoat smoothed it out.  Formula and application of Walking On Broken Glass were both great!
