Sea Lore Triton's Dazzling Daughters

Good evening dears!  Hope your Saturday was nice.  Mine was fairly uneventful but I find I am more tired when I don't have things to do.  Sitting around relaxing makes me even more tired!  Now I am tucking kids in and winding down.  I'm actually getting ready to watch Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!  But I wanted to pop in with another post to share with you tonight!  Jamie from Sea Lore recently revamped her popular Triton's Daughter's collection!  This collection of 7 crellies with scattered holo sparkles is called Triton's Dazzling Daughters.  I love the colors and the finish of this entire collection.  I want to play around and mix up the original collection with this one so keep an eye out for that!  Triton's Dazzling Daughters is available now and you can pick them up for $10 each.  So let's jump into the post and take a gander at polish!

I went in rainbow order so up first is Affectionate Arista, a red crelly with scattered holo.  This was one of my favorites in the collection.  Partly because I love red but partly because it had a really fantastic formula and application.  Affectionate Arista applied surprisingly creamy and opaque for a crelly!  I only needed 2 coats for full coverage.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

Another favorite of mine is Alluring Alana.  This is a berry-pink crelly with a delicate touch of scattered holo.  The formula and appellation were both awesome.  Again, a much creamier and opaque formula that one would expect from a crelly.  I used 2 coats of Alluring Alana for full coverage and a layer of topcoat.

Moving along, Attentive Attina is an orange crelly with scattered holo.  I loved the color of this one though I do wish it were more opaque like her last 2 sisters.  The formula was such more crelly like, possibly jelly.  I used 3 coats of Attentive Attina and a layer of topcoat.  You can see there is still some visible nail line but it's not overly noticeable, I'd say use a 4th coat to try and get rid of it.

Ah yellow, the unloved color of the rainbow.  I just can't wrap my brain around why so many polish gals don't like this color.  It's FANTASTIC!  It's HAPPY!  It's SUNSHINE!  Adoring Adella is a beautiful and cheerful yellow crelly with scattered holo.  The coverage on Adoring Adella was good but I did have to built it up with 3 coats.  The first 2 were a little streaky but the 3rd evened out nicely.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

And the mermaid of all mermaids!  Adventurous Ariel!  Of course she is a turquoise crelly!  And the light touch of scattered holo looks like sparkling ocean water.  This is another of my favorites from the collection.  Adventurous Ariel was a bit sheer but it's more in line what what I expect in a crelly (compared to the opaque and creamy Arista and Alana).  I used 3 coats of Adventurous Ariel and finished with a layer of topcoat.

And now a beautiful blue, Active Aquata.  This is a cerulean blue full of scattered holo.  I love this color for the mermaid because hello, water!  We are back to a more full coverage and opaque crelly with Active Aquata.  It applied so easily, it could have applied itself!  I used 2 coats of Active Aquata and a layer of topcoat.

Rounding out the Triton's Dazzling Daughters is Amusing Andrina.  She is a bright purple crelly with scattered holo.  What a gorgeous color and a prefect formula!  Another full coverage crelly for the win!  I know this is a popular color while I always pass on purples I totally love this one.  I used 2 coats of Amusing Andrina and a layer of topcoat for my pictures.

The Girl Who Has Everything Duo from Sweet Heart Polish & Sea Lore

Good morning lovelies!  I have a gorgeous duo to share with you today.  I know that I've shared several duo's from Sweet Heart Polish and another select indie brand lately and I have loved each more than the last.  Well The Girl Who Has Everything from Sweet Heart Polish and Sea Lore might have sealed the deal as my absolute favorite ever!  This duo is blue, glittery, shimmery, holoy.  AND it's inspired by Ariel's Undersea Adventure at Disney's California Adventure!  Cassandra and Jamie both did amazing jobs here, I completely feel like I've been transported to the ride and am reminiscing about the movie as I type.  The Girl Who Has Everything Duo will be available in both shops tomorrow, Saturday November 8th at 12pm PST.  The duo will be $20+shipping.  And now you know what time it is...time to look at polish!

Up first I have Sea Lore's contribution to the duo, Under The Sea.  Under The Sea is described as a "cobalt blue jelly with green shimmer, holographic sparkle and various sizes of rainbow glitters throughout."  It's definitely a colorful trip into the ocean and I think Jamie succeeded at capturing all of the colors we see in that specific part of the ride (and movie).  Under The Sea had a fabulous formula, it applied easily and had pretty opaque coverage for a jelly finish.  I used 3 coats of Under The Sea and finished with 1 layer of topcoat.   Here's a link to the song Under The Sea if you want to hear it!

Flipping Your Fins is the other half of the duo, from Sweet Heart Polish.  Flipping Your Fins is a "gorgeous cerulean blue holographic jelly with a blue to green shift. You can see this shade is quite the chameleon, in some lights it's full of holographic sparkle, and in other lights you can see her gorgeous green/blue color shift!"  I included that extra sentence because it's absolutely true and I tried my hardest to show you all of those qualities!  I do think the polish is a bit more teal than my pictures picked up, but in some lighting the polish really is more blue and in others more teal.  I LOVE the micro flakies that shift green to blue - they capture that mermaid essence perfectly.  Formula and application were both stellar.  I used 3 coats of Under The Sea and no topcoat.  And here's the link to Part Of Your World so you can listen to it too!
