The Painted Nail Tubular

Good morning loves!  How's your Friday?  Mine is lazy.  I want to do something with the kids since it's their last Friday home, but my middle just left to go to work with daddy and the other 2 are in their pj's still (ok I am too).  So I am just lazing here at the table drinking coffee and typing and browsing and texting.  Tough life, right?  Today I have an uber bright neon from The Painted Nail to share with you.  I picked this up from the Tips & Sips after party while attending CosmoProf.  This event was put on by Katie Cazorla, The Painted Nail herself!  It was a really nice event with a mix of mainstream and indie brands.  Katie is adorable and very nice.  She spent time chatting with Michelle and I and we snagged a picture with her too!  Ok, back to polish, I have a neon from her new (?) collection to share with you today and this is really eye-searing bright!  I've been browsing around but I can't figure out how to purchase these online - it's possible they are only available in her salon.  So let's jump in and take a gander at Tubular!

I wanted to share the picture I have with Katie and Michelle!  Katie was so cute and personable.  She chatted it right up with us like we were old friends reunited.  Her upbeat personality was catching and the whole party was a fantastic time!

So this is Tubular!  It's an uber neon, burn your eyes bright orange creme!  My pictures are showing it more red than it is but when you get to the shade pictures you will see that it's definitely orange.  I love this color.  It's my go-to neon shade and Tubular doesn't disappoint on any front.  Color, formula and application were all aces.  Tubular is really opaque, it was thisclose to being a one coat polish.  I added a second coat for good measure.  I finished with a layer of topcoat for a smooth, glossy finish.

The Painted Nail: Marie-Claire & Coco

Hello again dears!  I just had a lovely afternoon at the park with some friends after school and now I'm home watching Hocus Pocus.  I figured I should make good use of my time while sitting here and realizing with my kids and share pretty polish with all of you!  I picked these up at another CosmoProf North America After Party.  This one was hosted by Katie Cazorla from The Painted Nail!  It was very exciting to meet her and hobnob with other nail bloggers.  I feel very fortunate that I was able to attend this event and learn more about her products.  Now let's take a look at some polish!

Let's start with Marie-Claire.  This is a gorgeous deep, dark navy blue creme (maybe it's a crelly?).  I love this color and oddly don't have any polish quite this shade.  So I'm happy it's unique to my stash.  Marie-Claire had a flawless formula and applied like a dream.  It built up to complete opacity in 2 coats.  I'd guess that Marie-Claire could easily be a one-coater if you use more polish on your brush than I typically do.  I did not use topcoat for my pictures.  Did I mention that I am digging the bottle shape too?  It has a nice feel and is easy to hold.

The other polish I received was Coco. This is a beautiful shimmery color shifting polish.  I used it as a topper thought it's possible it could build up nicely on it's own in 3-4 coats.  I went ahead and put Coco over Marie-Claire because I thought they'd work nicely together, I was right!  Love when that happens.  I see so many colors in this bottle - gold, red, fuchsia, green, teal, purple.  I even saw some deep greens and a deep blackened color in specific lighting alas I couldn't catch any of that in my pictures.  Regardless, Coco is stunning.  I used 1 layer of Coco and no topcoat.
