Candeo Colors

Good morning!  I hope your Saturday morning is treating you well and I hope the weather is warming up where you are.  It's been nice and toasty here and I brought out my flip flops and capris this past week!  It also seems like a good time to start showing you some brighter colors!  So let's start with some Candeo Colors.  I have a couple new colors and a couple old favorites.  You can also create your very own version of Sprouse (a super pretty blend of black and white glitter with your choice of colored glitter and shimmer)!  I know I am highly interested in creating a Signature Sprouse!  But for now let's jump in and take a look and the ones I have today!

Candeo Colors: Shop, Facebook, Twitter

This is Supernova, a new color to the Candeo lineup.  Whoa hello gorgeous neon pink polish!  Supernova is described as a "bright pink base polish with a blue shimmer."  I am head over heels for this bright color because it just screams warm weather.  I found the formula was great, easy to apply.  I used 3 coats and had just the tiniest but of visible nail line left.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.  *use a good base coat because Supernova did stain my nails*

Jellybean is a perfect polish for Spring time and Easter!  Jellybean is a "creamy yellow base with chartreuse, lime and pink shimmer" with "pink, purple and turquoise hex glitter."  There is definitely a big cuteness factor to Jellybean.  It does put into mind Easter baskets with bright colored candy and grass.  The formula and application were both great.  Plenty of glitter came out with each coat and spread well on my nails.  I got full coverage with 3 coats.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Deep Space is amazing.  The end.  Ok really.  Deep Space is described as a "semi sheer base that is a deep green, but under certain lighting conditions will color shift to blue/purple.  It contains micro teal glitter and a light sprinkle of large diver holo hex glitter."  This polish has real depth to it and I found myself gazing into my nails while I was wearing it.  Like the description said, it was a bit sheer, but the formula and application were both great.  I used 4 coats of Deep Space and 1 layer of topcoat.

Lastly is Nightflight, another new addition to Candeo Colors.  Wow, this is another beautiful and rich color!  Nightflight is described as a "luscious navy blue-black shimmer polish."  This blue is just so stunning.  I found the formula and application to be perfect, very creamy and opaque.  I used 2 coats of Nightflight and 1 layer of topcoat.

Candeo Colors Julep, Springberry & Mahi

Good morning!  My post today features a Spring collection.  I know I know it's December first and it's winter, but these are pretty and I can see at least 1 of them being used as a nice wintery, snowy base for nail art, an accent nail or just a full mani!  Candeo Colors hasn't put out too many updates or colors since this Spring line but I just saw some action on their Facebook page.  Looks like there are new holiday colors coming soon!    So keep an eye on the Candeo Colors Facebook page for more updates!  You can purchase Candeo Colors from the shop HERE.

This is Julep.  It's a very pretty shade that while made for the Spring really looks wintry to me when layered over a shimmery white.  It's a frosty white base with a slight milky formula.  Julep is also full of different shades of blue glitters.  I found the formula to be a little on the thick side so it would be difficult to wear this on it's own.  I used 1 layer of 2 layers of Orly Au Champagne (my favorite white ever).  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

This is Springberry.  Springberry is a fun mixture of purple, pink, fuchsia and silver glitters in a clear base.  In addition there is a lovely pink shimmer and a little holo sparkle.  While not overly holiday-ish, I can imagine this is an easy glitter to wear all year round.  The formula on this one was not thick like Julep.  It had a nice fluid consistency and application was great.  I used 1 layer over 2 coats of OPI Funky Dunky.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Finally I have Mahi.  This is a fun aqua based color that's full of gold, blue and iridescent glitters.  This color definitely says Summer to me.  The formula and application on Mahi were both great.  No issues to point out.  I used 1 layer of Mahi over 2 coats of Essie Naughty Nautical.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.
