Good evening! Happy 4th of July! Some of you are probably getting ready for fireworks, how exciting! It's only 6pm here but we are probably just going to stay home and avoid all the madness and crowds. Besides, we've enjoyed a nice relaxing day at home, watching movies (Independence Day of course) and playing on the slip n slide. I threw together a quick mani and am pretty pleased with how it turned out. So feel free to head over to my Facebook page and share your 4th of July manis there, I'd love to see them. Now let's check out what I've got on.
*polishes in this post were press samples*
started with a white base for most of my fingers. I used Salon Perfect Sugar Cube. It took 3 coats to fully even out the color. I then did the dry brush method over the white using Sinful Colors Kosmos and Barielle Blushing Beauty. I was going for that imperfect, country painted fence look. I think I nailed it! I then used Painted Polish Drink Striper to add a little touch of glitter to those nails. My accent and thumb nails are Different Dimension Big Bang. Always need a little bling to make a mani stand out and this did the trick! I finished with topcoat.
I also have on some cute Lularoe Americana leggings. I wanted something red, white and blue but nothing too "America" because I wanted to be sure I'd wear them again on other occasions. I like how this pair of leggings is kind of hippy dippy trippy tie-dye. I'll totally wear these again any time of the year. And like always touted, they are buttery soft. The shirt is also from Lularoe, it's a navy blue Classic T that is the same material as the leggings. I may as well just be in pajamas I'm so damn comfy and cozy right now.
I'm also wearing an Origami Owl bracelet and filled it with some Americana charms. I love the eagle an USA charms. But my favorite are the red, white an blue crystal stars! Adorable.
Naomi wanted to get in on the action. So here she is in here cute 4th of July outfit and nails. She has this adorable hat, a "Mermade In America" shirt and shorts in a stars and stripes pattern.
Her nails are almost the same as mine. We used Barielle Miami Heat, Sinful Colors Kosmos and Different Dimensions Big Bang. Topcoat to finish.
