Glitter Daze Nymphomaniac
Good morning/afternoon readers! Hope you are enjoying your Monday, even more so if you actually have the day off. I have a polish that I have been sitting on for a while (since Black Friday) and I am finally posting it. Many brands came out with the ultra chrome flakies around the same time, but Glitter Daze was one of the first ones to announce them and I was all giddy about purchasing them. When I got them I was all drooly because just like all the picture hype, they were gorgeous. I tried them on and I was not pleased. I tried them a few different ways and I was still feeling MEH. So there they sat and I kept trying to talk myself into liking them. Well I figured out the problem. I didn't like them alone or over black. But I wanted to keep trying because they were just too pretty to not like. So I found a color combination that really made me smile and I can report that I DO like them over nude! This was a suggestion from a friend and I'm so glad she made it because now I'm looking forward to re-trying the other ultra chrome flakie I have. Glitter Daze has 5 ultra chrome flakies in The Mythicals Collection and they are all available in the shop for $12.50 each.

This is Nymphomaniac and it's made up of metallic color shifting flakes that are known as "Ultra Chrome Flakies." It's a shade that "shifts every color of the rainbow, but leans strongly toward green, pink, teal, and gold." I love the rich colors and the luxurious way it looks - kind of like a fabulous multicolored druzy. I do think it's beauty gets lost over black, and on it's own you end up with your nail tips showing too much. So I went a different route - I busted out Enchanted Polish Afternoon Delight, the most perfect nude holographic polish ever. It's got a beautiful blue sparkle in it and it made the best base for Nymphomaniac. Also, instead of just painting Nymphomaniac on like last time I tried it on, I applied it to a makeup sponge and then pressed it on my completely dry base color. The flakes went on evenly and covered more densely. ME SO HAPPY! I love how it turned out! I sponged on 1-2 coats Nymphomaniac and finished with 2 layers of topcoat.
