A Box Indied April 2016; Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Let's start with Colors by Llarowe Batter, Batter Swing!.  It's a purple jelly full of blue and sheer-ish gold flakes.  It's actually a difficult shade to describe so you'll just have to get the box and determine it for yourself!  What I can tell you is that the formula was really great, squishy but nice coverage, and it applied easily.  I used 3 coats and finished with topcoat.  I'm not sure if this one is from an actual movie but when I hear "swing batter, batter swing" I can't help but think of Ferris Bueller's Day Off (it has a baseball scene so it counts in my mind).

This stunning teal crelly is Outta the Park from Contrary Polish.  I like that it's got so much action going on in it.  There's a soft silvery shimmer and these amazing purple to pink to gold ultra chrome flakies.  And they're not tiny flakies, they're big eye catching ones!  Me likey.  The formula was nice and creamy, reaching full coverage in 3 coats.  It applied perfectly as well.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.  

Darling Diva Polish There's No Crying In Baseball is a soft denim blue holo with golden-green shimmer.  First off I love this color, it's just so serene.  Secondly, the movie it's named after, A League Of Their Own, is really great...talk about some major inspiring girl power!  As far as formula goes; I thought the 1st coat was sheer and was worried it wouldn't build up.  But my fretting was for not as the 2nd coat was total perfection!  I finished with a layer of topcoat.  

This is an exciting one as it's my first time trying the brand!  Great Lakes Lacquer If You Swatch It They Will Come is a minty-grassy green crelly with a nice helping of purple to blue to green ultra chrome flakies.  Formula was nice and smooth.  I built up full coverage in 3 coats and finished with a layer of topcoat.  And if you missed the reference this one is a word play from Field Of Dreams.  

Rounding out the collection is a glitter bomb that will surely please any of you that love our National Pastime.  Fireball from KBShimmer is a blend of red metallic and white matte glitters with holo sparkles throughout.  It's fun and 1/3 of the way to being a 4th of July polish!  You could totally layer this over a blue base if you wanted to be patriotic.  I have 2 coats (I wanted a denser glitter payoff but 1 coat was totally fine) over CbL Batter, Swing, Batter!.  Very happy with the glitter payoff.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.
