Good morning, happy Sunday! Are you getting rained out like I am over here in Cali? So many are moaning and groaning about the rain, but it's so desperately needed. Plus it's giving me a break from my usual taxi mom duties and breaks from soccer and running. I think it's more of a mental break than a physical break that I've needed so just getting to not worry over where I need to be is nice. Plus I didn't go out and race in the rain today, ate a huge chocolate chip waffle for breakfast and I don't even feel guilty! The only thing I can complain about is that all these clouds have been keeping the sun away so I couldn't do sunshine pictures of these gorgeous glittery holos from KBShimmer. The Mega Flame collection is a set of holos full of micro holo glitters in a tinted base that really wow with their sparkle and shine. There are 7 shades in the Mega Flame collection and they will be available on 3/15 for $8.75 USD each. So let's delve in and check out these beauties!

There's no rhyme or reason to how I ordered these so let's just start with this one! Ripe For The Pinking is a raspberry pink mega holo. I love the color and the sparkle of this polish. Super girly, pretty much the perfect berry shade! Formula and application were both fabulous, I used 2 coats for full coverage and finished with a layer of topcoat, thought I'd recommend 2 for the smoothest, sleekest finish.
So Flamous is a copper leaning peach glittery holo. It does appear a touch more orange in real life. I love this shade! It's like an updated/hip version of my beloved nude holo. This is a color that I will be rocking all Spring long! Perfect pick me up for gloomy days, and just the right amount of sparkle for the sunny ones. Formula and application were both fab. I used 3 coats and finished with 2 layers of topcoat.
Moving along, here's Things That Make You Go Bloom. It's a pastel lilac purple holo microglitter polish that totally captures spring flowers! The formula and application on this holo glittery goodness were both perfect in 3 coats. I topped it with 2 layers of topcoat.
Stalk Market is a celery green-yellow shade and bursting with blingy holo microglitters. I love this soft shade of green, it's a nice change from the neon-ish shade of green that is typically included in color collections. Stalk Market was a bit more sheer than the others and my nail line is a bit more visible, but it still only needed 3 coats. I used 2 layers to topcoat for maximum shine and glossiness.
There's another green in the collection, Smells Like Green Spirit. This one is a deep lime (or possibly grass) shade of green, and like the others, full of holo microglitters. This green is so springy and gorgeous. It's fresh and clean and I swear I can almost smell the citrus! Formula and application were both great. I used 2 layers and finished with 2 coats of topcoat.
Set In Ocean is a sparkly deep aqua color. It makes me long for sunshine days, clear blue skies and lounging by sparkling waters. The formula and application were both wonderful. Great coverage in 2 coats and total smoothness and shine with 2 layers of topcoat.
Rounding out the collection is Night Bright, a stunning black based holo microglitter polish. This is reminiscent of the twinkling stars in an inky sky. Yup, I could pretty much gaze into my nails all day long looking at the sparkling little galaxies on my nails. Formula and applicant are top notch. I used 2 coats for full coverage and 2 layers of topcoat.
I also wanted to show you some of the nail care products you can pick up from KBShimmer now too! Of course we all know and love Clearly On Top, the quick dry, super shiny topcoat. I used Clearly On Top for all my swatch pictures above. But now you can also pick up: Basic Training (a sticky-type base coat), Fillin' Groovy (a ridge filling base coat) and Oh Matte! (a matte finish topcoat). I've gone back and forth using the 2 base coats for my last few rounds of swatching and found them both pretty fantastic. Both dry quickly and create a perfect base for polish. I especially like how Fillin' Groovy provides the slightest base for colors, it helps the sheerer colors reach opacity a bit easier. I also tried out Oh Matte! and it created a nice soft matte finish, I will be sure to share pictures of it for you shortly!
