Mardi Gras Bead Nail Art featuring Girly Bits Cosmetics COTM Duos

Good morning and laissez les bon temps router!  It's Fat Tuesday people!  Throw some beads, grab a hurricane and munch on some King Cake.  Well, that's my plan for today.  I'll be making a huge meal of jambalaya, cornbread and a king cake to enjoy tonight.  I also did this "mardi gras bead" nail art to celebrate the occasion.  I used the February and March COTM Duos from Girly Bits and think these shades all worked perfectly together.  Not too please with my "beads" but I think you get the gist.  Anywho...the February COTM Duo will be available through today, last possible chance to snag it!  The March COTM Duo will be available starting tomorrow!  You can read more about both of these duos HERE and HERE!

Alright, so here's my art.  Yes yes, it's not fantastic, I am not a self-proclaimed gift to nail art.  But it works.  LOL.  I started with Irish You Were Beer as my base.  Perfect shade of gold!  I then used a dotting tool to place dots in random-ish patterns on my nails.  I connected the dots using a tiny nail art brush.  The end result looks like those cheapie plastic beads on a string!  I used They're After Me Lucky Charms, Ladies and Magentlemen and She's Got Grape Tips for the beads.  Topcoat and BOOM - done.
