Alter Ego; The Polish Con Chicago Exclusives - Da Bears & Hot Times in Old Town

Right back at'cha with another quickie post featuring more Polish Con Chicago exclusives!  Hope you're ready for more beauties!  Guys, reviewing these and thinking about how fun the conventions are is making me really sad to miss out.  I wish my life wasn't so busy because I would totally go to them all to catch up with friends.  Anywho, this post features the exclusives from Alter Ego.  Loving both of these because I know they will be unique amongst the many holo and multi chrome offerings.  If you are going tomorrow and haven't tried Alter Ego I highly suggest you swing by her booth and pick up a few of her beauties!  She's a sweetheart too so give her a hug for me.

Here's Da Bears, a sparkly glitter blend of denim blue with white flakies and orange micro glitter.  Super fun polish!  I feel this can be used alone in 3-ish coats or as a topper over a base color.  Dark blue would really make it pop!  Formula is good, lots of coverage with each layer.  But as it is "pieces" in a clear base I did see a few bare patches on my nails.  I used 3 coats plus topcoat.

This is Hot Times in Old Town, an awesome matte neon glitter blend in a clear base.  That means you can use this baby over nail art, plain base colors and just about anywhere to add a fun touch of color to your mani.  I love the neon colors and the circle glitter shape (I've always loved circle glitters).  I used white as my base to really show off the colors.  Glitter to base ratio was pretty good.  I did have to swish the brush around a bit to a good amount of glitter on my nails, but since I'm from the age of chunky glitter polishes that's no big deal to me.  I used 1 coat and stuck a few extra on each nail.  I fished with topcoat.
