Darling Diva Polish Bad Girl

Good morning lovelies!  I have more music/polish fun for you today with Darling Diva Polish Bad Girl.  If you love Madonna songs and love polish this is the collection for you!  Carrie created so many gorgeous polishes in this set and I have reviews of Into the Groove and Like A Virgin that you can check out.  Mosey on over to the Darling Diva Etsy store to see more of this awesome collection and to purchase them!  You can also follow Darling Diva Polish on Facebook for news and updates on upcoming colors and promotions!  Llarowe and Mei Mei's Signatures carry Darling Diva Polish as well, here are their links!

Bad Girl is another nod to a Madonna song, one that I am actually unfamiliar with.  To keep in sync with my other posts here is the video for Bad Girl (OMG is that Christopher Walken in the video??  He is awesome!)!  Bad Girl was release in 1992 on the Erotica album.  Now that you know the background of the song let's talk about the polish.  Bad Girl is an amazing color shifting polish that shows many colors and sparkle!  Here's Carrie's
description of Bad Girl, "it is a green polish base that can shift from deep violet, to purple, to blue, to turquoise, to green, to olive! It NEEDS to be layered over black for best effect but 3 coats alone can be opaque."  It's pretty amazing!   I have Bad Girl shown over 2 base colors and the difference is pretty awesome!  The first pictures are Bad Girl over 2 coats of Finger Paints A Tough Art To Follow.  ATATF is a dusty deep olive green creme.  I used it because I thought it matched the prominent color shown in Bad Girl.  Over TATF I see lots of green and gold and a bit of teal.  I have 2 coats of ATATF and then 1 coat of Bad Girl.  The formula on Bad Girl is wonderful.  So easy to apply and gorgeous.  It's sparkly and metallic at the same time!  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Here are some pictures of Bad Girl over CND Dark Amethyst.  Dark Amethyst is a deep plum creme.  I used 2 coats of Dark Amethyst and 1 coat of Bad Girl.  You can see how over the purple different colors are prominent.  I see more purple, teal, olive green and a burgundy red around the edges.  So lovely and fun!  I used 1 layer of topcoat here as well.

Darling Diva Polish Like A Virgin

Good afternoon!   Here I am with another fun polish that surely will make you think of a song and possibly make you sing it.  Hey, I'm singing it right now!  It's a good song, give me a break.  Ok I'm talking about Like A Virgin from Darling Diva Polish.  Carrie came out with a line of polish that was inspired by Madonna songs and they are very fun and unique.  I recently posted a review for Into the Groove and you can see it HERE.  You can follow Darling Diva Polish on Facebook and you can purchase these lovely polishes in the shop on Etsy.

Like A Virgin, named for the popular Madonna song that came out on the album (also named Like A Virgin) in 1984.  Just because it's fun - here's the video for Like A Virgin, enjoy!  I have black and white nails to show off Like A Virgin because those are the 2 outfit colors I think of for that song/video.  I started with 2 layers of Orly Au Champagne and 1 layer of Sinful Colors Black on Black.  I then used 1 layer of Like A Virgin.  LAV is so many cool glitters - bars, circles, hearts, hexs, iridescent, microglitter and shimmer.  The iridescent glitters also shift from blue to purple and yellow!  LAV applied wonderfully, lots of glitter came out and it all laid flat on the nail.  It's also a glitter topper that would look awesome over many colors!  I used 1 layer of topcoat for smooth nails.

Darling Diva Polish Into the Groove

Good morning polish friends!  I hope the weekend has treated you well and you have enjoyed my recent posts!  I know I sure have been loving all these polishes I've been putting on my digits!  Today I have a super awesome new Darling Diva Polish to share.  Carrie recently released a collection inspired by Madonna songs and they are all pretty dang amazing!  DDP is available in a couple places but you can purchase from the Etsy store, Llarowe, and Mei Mei's Signaures.  You can also follow Darling Diva on Facebook for stock updates and product info!

This lovely gal is Into the Groove.  Yup, inspired by the Madonna song by the same name featured in the 1985 movie Desperately Seeking Susan.  And just because it's a great song here's a link to see the video (fyi- lots of ads to skip).  Into the Groove is a gorgeous lime green crelly full of black and silver circle glitters.  You know how I feel about circle glitters…I LOVE THEM!  There is also a very fine, hidden green-gold shimmer in here and it's so pretty!  ITG is pretty sheer so I ended up using 4 coats for full coverage.  Of course you could use a similar base color and use less coats of ITG if you wanted.  I used 1 layer of topcoat for smooth and glossy nails!
