Hello dear readers! I have a late day post to share and I hope you are in the mood for Halloween polish….and a giveaway! I know those are 2 things that always make my day. This post features 2 of the polishes recently released in The Nail Junkie Halloween collection. This set has 7 polishes themed by various things that make you think of Halloween..candy corn, pumpkin, black cat, Frankenstein, etc… I have quite a few Nail Junkies now and I have to say that I truly adore them all. Aleta, the maker behind the brand is very conscious of product quality and ease of use. All her polish is unique, pretty and comes with a cute picture label instead of a word name. This misunderstood fellow is Frankenstein. He's green and not so mean. Aleta describes Frankenstein as a "green jelly polish loaded with black bar and black hex glitters." This polish perfectly captures the monster. The bright green jelly base (Frankie's skin) is gorgeous and the silvery shimmer is stunning! I got plenty of bars and hexs (nuts and bolts) out with each brush dip and they spread well and laid flat on my nails. Application and formula were both wonderful. I used 3 coats for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.

The other polish I have to share is Spider. I have a true repulsion to spiders yet I also find that I can't look away if I see one (in real life or in a picture). A spider rubber-necker of sorts. So of course I had to pick this to try out. And it's awesome. Spider is a "glitter topper with various sizes and shapes of black glitter." 1 started this mani with a gradient of Butter London Billy No Mates and Deborah Lippmann It's Raining Men hoping for a creepy/gruesome effect. I then used 2 coats of Spider and was pleased with the amount of glitter I got out with each brush dip. All the glitters laid flush to my nails and spread easily. Again, application and formula were both great. I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.
