ellagee Alhoa Isle & essence Dreams Are For Sale

Hello polish friends!  Sorry for not having a morning post, but I have been so busy swatching and taking pictures that I haven't had a chance to work on the computer!  GASP!  I have a gorgeous ellagee polish to share and I accented it with a brand new essence.  Hullo amazing match up!  I have reviewed quite a few ellagees and you can see some HERE and HERE.  Or just use my search bar and look up ellagee.  I have been impressed with every ellagee that I try on.  Laura makes lovely and unique polishes.  She also runs weekly sales and giveaways!  Make sure to follow her on Facebook and IG (ellageepolish)!  You can also shop the store HERE.

Aloha Isle is from the World of Laughter collection and is inspired by the Dole Pineapple Whip served at Disneyland and Disney World.  I have had more than my fair share of these and they are delicious!  Kind of like ice cream, but so much more refreshing…full of yummy pineapple flavor (I think it's made with pineapple juice and soft serve).  Now I really want one and you might too so here's a recipe I just came across that you can try.  For this mani I have on 3 coats of Aloha Isle.  Aloha Isle is a gorgeous creamy pastel yellow that really captures the color of the treat.  It also has subtle silvery flecks that are so pretty.  Aloha Isle applied wonderfully, with no formula issues to report.

I then accented my thumb, ring and pinky fingers with essence Dreams Are For Sale.  DAFS comes from the Hugs & Kisses collection that was release around Valentine's Day.  My sweet friend Dulce in Portugal gathered most of these up for me and sent them my way!  Thank you Dulce (kiss kiss)!  DAFS is a delicate and pretty blend of iridescent hexs and micro glitter.  I love the sparkle on this polish!  No problems to report with the application or formula of this polish.  1 layer of topcoat for smooth nails.

ellagee Some Imagination Hu!

Morning polish friends!  Yay for Sorcerer Mickey polish!  This is another ellagee polish from the World of Laughter collection.  I have reviewed a few others from this set and you can see them here, here and here!  The whole set is well thought out and full of gorgeous polishes but I think this might be my favorite polish from The World of Laughter collection.  It just so perfectly captures the essence of Sorcerer Mickey.  Yes it's true, I am a HUGE Disney fan but even so…look at this polish!  It makes me happy to look at it!  Happiest Place on Earth on my nails!!

You can purchase Some Imagination, Hu! and other ellagee polishes at www.ellagee.com.   You can also follow ellagee on Facebook and Instagram (ellageepolish).

I started this mani with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Into the Blue, a royal blue creme polish.  It's actually a tad darker in real life, so maybe a dark royal blue.  It was very thick and actually needed a few drops of thinner, but then it worked perfectly fine and I had no problems.  1 coat for full coverage.  I then used 2 coats of ellagee Some Imagination, Hu!  Laura describes SIH as "a clear base with royal blue, navy blue, and silver holo glitters with gold holo stars and crescent moons. It's inspired by Mickey's sorcerer hat and named for his last line in Disney's nighttime show, Fantasmic."  Totally gorgeous polish!  This is also a revamped formula.  Laura was quick to discover a glitter that wasn't working well and contacted me to replace the polish right away…and she did!  Awesome customer service!  I'm so glad she did reformulate because the glitters came out much easier and they are brighter than before.  I finished this with 1 layer of topcoat for a smooth to the touch finish.

ellagee The Birds Sing Words

Good morning polish fiends!  I'm back with another awesome ellagee creation!  If you missed my post yesterday I introduced you to ellagee and maker Laura.  I also gave a background on the collection this polish hails from, World of Laughter.  You can see my post featuring Welcome, Foolish Mortals here!  Today's post takes you away from New Orleans Square and into neighboring Adventure Land!  We are now entering the Enchanted Tiki Room where The Birds Sing Words.

Before my review here are the social media links for ellagee: Facebook, Instagram (ellageepolish), www.ellagee.com.

The Birds Sing Words is a super fun and colorful glitter bomb.  It would have to be to capture all the bright colorful birds inside the Tiki Room.  Here is the ellagee description of The Birds Sing Words, "The Birds Sing Words is a clear base with red, hot pink, orange, lime holo, teal, turquoise holo, blue, and white glitters. It's named for the colorful tropical birds in Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room attraction."  I decided to keep in step with the colorful theme and layer TBSW over some bright summery neons.  I used 2 coats of each Orly Skinny Dip and Beach Cruiser.  I then used 2 coats of TBSW.  There are no application issues to report.  The glitter is suspended well in the base, lots of glitter came out with each brush dip and it spread well on my nails.  I used 1 layer of topcoat.

And because I couldn't just leave you with that I went really Frontier Land and layered The Birds Sing Words over a gorgeous nude.  It just reminded me of all the store fronts and cast members in their khaki safari gear.  So I rolled with it and I actually liked this combo the best of the two.  I used 2 coats of essence Cafe Ole and then 2 coats of TBSW.  1 layer of topcoat.

ellagee Welcome, Foolish Mortals

Hello again polish fans!  I'm here with another awesome new brand, ellagee.  ellagee is created by Laura, a super nice gal, who already has some stunning collections under her belt.  I hope to review some of the other polishes in the near future, but this post will focus on the brand new World of Laughter Collection.  It's a nod to all of Laura's favorite things about Disneyland and Disneyworld - whether it be an attraction, a tasty treat or a character.  It's an adorable lineup that I'm basically head over heels for.

Welcome, Foolish Mortals!  If you are a Disney junkie like I am you will immediately know what the name of this polish is referencing.  If you aren't then it's from the Haunted Mansion.  One of the best rides (IMO) in Disneyland, just spooky enough for all ages to enjoy.  WFM is an awesome polish to capture the creepy, dark side of this Disney attraction.  Here's the description on the ellagee website, "Welcome, Foolish Mortals is a deep charcoal gray base with fine silver/white shimmer and blue/purple color-shifting iridescent, green holographic, and purple holographic hexagon glitters."  I especially loved the iridescent glitter that appeared to glow green/blue in the dark base, reminiscent of the ghostly spirits that haunt the mansion!  The pictures below show 2 coats.  The formula was great.  WFM was easy to apply, the perfect consistency, and plenty of glitter come out with each brush dip.  The glitter all laid flat on my nails and 1 layer of topcoat sealed it all in.

So what do you think of ellagee and The World of Laughter so far?  I have 2 more polishes from this collection coming up in the next few days!  Can't wait to show them to you.  Until then you can follow ellagee on Facebook, Instagram (ellageepolish) and shop at the website www.ellagee.com.
