December 2016 Destination Duo, Fireworks; Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer & Cupcake Polish

Morning lovelies!  Today I've got the newest Destination Duo from Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer and Cupcake Polish.  December's Duo is inspired by an awesome picture of fireworks that Julie took!  This duo is a fabulous contrast of dark and light and lots of iridescence, holo, and flakies.  The December Destination Duo comes with 2 polishes and a baggie of glitter.  It will be available for preorder from 12/31 at 3:30pm EDT to 1/6 at 11:59pm EDT and is $20 shipped domestic.  Let's jump in and check it out!

Here's the inspiration picture of the fireworks.

Here's a bottle shot of both polishes!  I love that they perfectly contrast each other.

Up first I have Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Kanpai.  It's a white crelly with silver and red shimmer, lime/green/gold iridescent glitter, red/gold/green shifting glitter, purple to green shifting shimmer, and clear holo glitter.  That's a busy polish but it totally works.  The white is the perfect shade, not stark, not muted, just a great white crelly.  Like other white crellies, it can apply a bit tricky so let each layer dry completely.  I used 3 coats for even coverage and finished with topcoat.

Cupcake Polish put Cheers! in the box.  Cheer's! is a black linear holo green/yellow/red/blue/magenta and teal/purple/magenta multi chrome flakies.  Love the flakies in this one!  Formula and application were both fabulous.  I had full coverage in 2 coats and finished with topcoat.

Alright I did some nail art with this duo.  I am totally happy with how it turned out!  I started with Kanpai as the base.  I then used a thin brush to created a heavy, one color waterfall on my nails with Cheers!.  Of course my accent nail is Cheers!.  I finished with topcoat for a glossy finish.
