Beauty Review: Rimmel London Lip Products and Sally Hansen Color Therapy

Morning lovelies.  This fine day I have some fine beauty products to share with you!  A couple from Sally Hansen, a couple from Rimmel London.  These are great makeup brands that you can pick up at your local drugstore (making life SO easy) for an affordable price.  What I've noticed is that lots of the drugstore brands are venturing out into new ingredients and jumping on trends (sometimes not so quickly).  The products I have for you today do both of those and do the well in my opinion.  I'll go in to detail for each product once we delve in...so why don't we go ahead and do that!

I'm going to start with the lip products.  Actually I am going to start with my least favorite first.  This is Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Nude Collection #40 Rosetto.  That's a mouthful.  It's a very light nude beige shade, with a slightly matte finish.  It's definitely not glossy, but not completely matte either.  From the pictures I saw it seemed like a pink, but I don't find it pink at all on my skin tone.  Oh well!  There are 10 shades available for about $5.99 each.  Formula was nice, creamy and glides on easily.  No complaints there.  But boy oh boy was this totally NOT my color.  Keep going and you will see....

I am trying to force a smile here, so hard.  My lips literally disappeared.  I think the only thing that would help this lipstick out is a  natural colored (or even bright) lip liner and blend them together a bit.  Anyways, while the lipstick itself was great, it's not a color I'd reach for again.

Ahh, ok this is better.  Rimmel London Oh My Gloss! Oil Tint in #100 Smart Pink.  This gloss is made with 4 precious oils for a glossy, moisturizing finish.  This is a fabulous gloss!  I can't get enough of it.  It's light and shiny, not sticky or slick.  It goes on fairly sheer with the slightest tint of pink, and over time the pink shade gross more vibrant giving the perfect pop of color.  It's scented with a light rose and sweet fruit the of smell.  I don't find it overpowering, white nice actually, but those sensitive to smells will notice it. There are 6 shades available and they are about $5.99.

Smart Pink turns even brighter than this!

Finally we have Sally Hansen Color Therapy in Rosy Quartz.  The Color Therapy line is created with a patented argan oil formula with intensive nourishment and moisture.  This is supposed to provide up to 10 days of fade proof, chip resistant wear.  Available in 38 shades and about $7.  Rosy Quartz is a nice sheer pink shade, it gives you a "your nails but better" look.  If you want that shiny, clean finish you are really going to like this polish.  I put on 3 coats and the Color Therapy Topcoat.  My mani lasted a week without chips and my nails felt so strong!
