Born Pretty Store: Pearlescent Matte Nail Polish, Drop in Ocean #BP-PM04

Morning.  I'm here today with a not so fabulous post.  I actually really dislike sharing products that I don't love but I wouldn't be a very good blogger if I only shared unicorn and rainbow reviews.  So let's just get to it shall we?  This is a Pearlescent Matte polish from Born Pretty.  This is my first not great product from the company so it definitely won't deter me from trying more items from them. If you like this polish you can purchase it HERE for $3.59.  And don't forget you can save 10% using my code JTOW10.

I'm wearing Pearlescent Matte nail polish in Dry In Ocean.  It's a deep purple-brown full of silvery glitters. And it has a matte finish. As you can see from the first picture, there are issues.  The polish applied lumpy and gritty.  And on the nails where it looks alright it's really not, the angle just isn't showing the unevenness.  To add to my disappointment, the polish arrived with no brush attached to the bottle cap.  I had to hunt down an extra brush to use because I didn't want to wait for a new one to be shipped.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.

A layer of topcoat helped it look a little better but I'm still not loving it.

  3. It's too bad it's such a disappointment but no brand has 100% perfection.

  5. I like the color but what a mess. No brush? I’d be like here’s the polish, tough luck lol.
