Sweet Heart Polish Wonderous Collection, Fall 2015

Sweet Heart Polish: Shop, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

I'm Late! I'm Late! I'm Late! is an orange holo with orange glitters.  This one is a jelly finish and it's sheer but buildable.  The formula and application were both great.  I used 4 coats of I'm Late! I'm Late! I'm Late! and finished with a layer of topcoat.

She Must Be A Weed is fabulous minty-ish green holo full of tiny holo square glitters.  I love this shade and the glitters, so lovely.  The formula and application were both wonderful!  Again, this one had a jelly finish but it was more opaque.  I used 3 coats of She Must Be A Weed and finished with a layer of topcoat.

Who R U? is another jelly finish polish, full of iridescent, color shifting flakies.  I dig the color and the finish on this one!  The formula is nice and squishy and I am always drawn to those beautiful flakies.  Formula and applicant were both lovely.  No issues to report.  I used 3 layers of Who R U? and no topcoat.

Off With Her Head! is a stunning strawberry pink-coral holo full of holo micro glitters.  I totally loe this color!  It's really nice to see some lighter, unexpected colors in the collection this Fall.  Of course I love my vampy shades the most, but I also enjoy variety.  The formula was pretty opaque and it applied smooth and even.  I used 2 coats of Off With Her Head! and a layer of topcoat.

The last polish in the collection is One Lump Or Two?, a purple polish full of fine iridescent shimmer and tiny flakies.  This one will surely make all the purple lovers swoon.  I like the vibrancy of the purple base with the multidimensional look with the colored shimmers.  The formula was more opaque than some of the others but I still used 3 coats of One Lump Or Two? to get that deep, rich hue.  Application was easy peasy!  Photographing those shimmers and teeny tiny flakies...not so easy!  I did my best!  Hopefully you get the idea of what this beautiful polish really looks like.

Well hullo, what have we here?  A 6th polish!?  That's right, She's Stark Raving Matte is an exclusive to the collection when you buy the entire set, which is $55.  She's Stark Raving Matte is a fabulous smokey grey-black polish full of purple magenta shifty shimmery goodness.  This polish has a waxy finish.  You can wear this alone or with topcoat for a shiny look.  I opted to show you She's Stark Raving Matte in it's natural finish so no topcoat used.  Formula and application were both lovely, I used 3 coats.

My Nail Polish Obsession 3 Year Blogiversary - Custom Polishes & A Giveaway!

Good afternoon readers!  First off I want to say THANK YOU for reading my blog!  Today marks my 3rd year of blogging and seriously, it's been amazing.  Not only have my eyes been opened to so many fantastic indie, mainstream and international brands, but I have also made so many wonderful friends along the way.  I am so very grateful that you have all stuck around and continue to read my blog and look at my swatches.  I have come a long way from day 1, when I look back I do giggle a bit at my swatches and pictures but I hung in there and I think the difference it pretty huge.  Of course I am constantly striving to better everything about my blog so hopefully year 4 will be even bigger and better! 

Today's post is a special one.  I contacted a few lovely makers behind some fabulous indie brands and asked them to help me celebrate my blogiversary.  It wasn't until I started to see pictures of the custom colors that the idea started to form and I decided that I wanted these to be Alice in Wonderland themed.  So that's what I got!  4 perfectly nonesensically named polishes that are absolutely gorgeous, mind you not exact colors to depict a picture, but exactly what I wanted them to be to represent a specific character or scene.  A big thanks to Gina, Pam, Noelie and Cassandra for whipping these together for me.  Now, while all 4 are customs and OOAK, 1 will be available in very limited quantity.  Let's fall down the rabbit hole to find out more of these beautiful polishes.

I am going in random order here so let's start with Sweet Heart Polish Explain Yourself.  Of course inspired by the wise but cranky Caterpillar.  This is a beautiful aqua blue full of little golden flakes.  It's so lovely, I think it turned out pretty awesome!

Smitten Polish Drink Me is inspired by the cute little drink Alice find that makes her shrink in size.  This is a stunning soft bubblegum pink full of fiery red-orange shimmer.  I would absolutely drink a pretty concoction that looked like this!  The shimmer is a bit hard to capture in the pictures but it's there and trust me, it's fabulous.

Next up is Paint Box Polish Much More Muchier, inspired by none other than the Mad Hatter.  While I love all versions of this character, I have a special place in my heart for any character played by Johnny Depp so his crazy orange hair and brows are what made me think of this polish.  This is a holo glitterific polish with a touch of holo shimmer.  It's super sparkly and bright.

And last but not least is We're All Mad Here from Red Dog Designs.  Gina has celebrated all 3 blogiversaries with me by creating customs.  The fun part is that she also has a small batch of these put aside for sale at a later date so you have a chance to snag one if you love it!  So yes, this beauty is inspired by that trouble making Cheshire Cat, one of my all time favorite Disney characters, EVER.  This is a complex polish, a magenta base full of white and blue flakies.  Totally unique and truly gorgeous.
