My Nail Polish Obsession 4 Year Blogiversary: Custom Polishes & A Giveaway!

Good morning dears!  This post has been in the works for an entire week!  But I've been so swamped with reviews and swatches and life that I didn't have time to get around to it until now.  Le sigh.  So last week, the 13th to be exact, was my 4th blogiversary.  4 years have really gone by so fast.  I still fully enjoy sharing nail polish with you, and I cherish the connections I have made throughout this experience.  I've made so many friends in the nail community and I've been fortunate enough to meet several of them in person.  So I hope that I have many more blogiversaries in my future and get to meet of the lovely nail polish lovers I've met through social media.  With all that said I'm happy to share 4 gorgeous customs that I had created for the occasion.  I was inspired by Marie Antoinette for this collection, so think luxury, extravagance, excessiveness.  I had 4 fabulous makers work with me on these and I am over the moon happy with how they all turned out.  Huge thanks to Cassandra from  Sweet Heart Polish, Pam from Paint Box Polish, Noelie from Dreamland Lacquer and Jenna from Lacquistry.  Keep on reading until the end to get to the giveaway!

Sweet Heart Polish Rapunzel Trio

Good morning lovelies!  I've got the gorgeous Rapunzel Trio from Sweet Heart Polish of you today.  This past few days has been a little hectic, so sorry for not sharing this in time for the launch yesterday morning.   But thankfully this is not a limited edition or one pour set.  So that means it's still available for you to pick up now!  This is a fun holo, crelly, glitter topper trio that has a lot of personality - just like the characters in the movie that inspired it, Tangled.  Tangled is one of my daughters favorite movies and I think it's pretty adorable, the characters are lively and funny.  Of course the songs are catchy so that's a bonus.  You can pick up the Rapunzel Trio for $25 or individual bottles for $9-$10 each.  Let's jump in and check out these polishes!.

Sweet Heart Polish LE Monthlies; January 2016 & February 2016

Good morning dears!  Last week of February.  How fast did that go by?  Too fast.  I enjoyed a week off from the normal hustle and bustle but we are back to the daily routine of school and sports and taxi mom life and errands.  Le sigh, Summer you are still too far away.  But oh hey, I have some beautiful polish to show you so I'll stop gabbing about things I can't change.  Sweet Heart Polish is releasing monthly polishes this year and I have the first two to share with you.  The monthly polishes are limited edition and small batch so you definitely don't want to wait around your laurels or you may find yourself hitting up the sale boards in search of them.  January 2016 and February 2016 both launched on 2/15/16 but don't fret - there are still some bottles available for each color.  You can pick yours up for $10 USD each.  So let's jump in and check out the review!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Do you have big plans?  I don't really...just dinner date with the hubster, thankfully we have a sitter so it'll be quiet time and we can actually hear each other talk!  I know many think of this as a "Hallmark holiday" but I enjoy the sentiment behind it and the extra romance it brings, so I'll take it thankyouverymuch.  Today I have a couple lovely polishes from Sweet Heart polish to share, both are perfect for Valentine's Day and beyond!  Both Love Potion and Frosted Sugar Cookie are LE and single pour batches but they are still available in the shop so go forth and buy all the polish!  And now let's look at pictures!

Addicted to Holos; February 2016 Box

Good morning all!  Happy Super Bowl Sunday!  Hopefully you have plans to attend a gathering and eat mass quantities of snack foods and drink adult beverages while watching the game and the commercials.  I personally don't care for football so I won't pay much attention to the game.  But I will enjoy spending time with a friend while snacking and gabbing about things.  I'm taking mini burritos and beef enchilada dip over to her house, mmmmmm yum!  But before all that I have a post for you featuring the Addicted to Holos February indie box!  This year the ATH box has been updated!  Each box will include 4 polishes for a reduced price of $35 plus shipping.  This months box is full of founding members polishes, but the upcoming months will feature 3 founders and a guest maker (eeee exciting!  Can't wait to see who they have lined up!).  The February Addicted to Holos box will be available for pre-order from 2/8 to 2/15.  Once the pre-order closes the boxes will ship within 2 weeks.  So let's jump in and take a looksee at what this months box has to offer!

Sweet Heart Polish LE/Single Pour Valentines Polish: Cherub's Kiss & Blushing Rose

Good evening again.  Sorry for the late night but I have another post for you...because you don't want to miss out on this!  Sweet Heart Polish will be releasing 3 Valentines shades tomorrow morning and they are very limited quantity.  Cassandra made these 3 polishes in one batch/single pour so there are only 20 of each color.  TWENTY.  Please don't hesitate if you want them because I know they will sell quickly.  Now I only have 2 of the 3 to share with you and you can bet your behind that I'll be getting up early to snag that 3rd color.  Ok so the details are as such, 20 bottles of each color (Cherub's Kiss, Blushing Rose and Love Potion) will go on sale at 7am PST on Friday 1/15.  They will be $10 each.  And now less talking, more looking at swatches!  Here we go!

Sweet Heart Polish Oct 21 2015, Limited Edition Polish

Good morning!  I am so happy that we are finally getting some Fall weather over here in NorCal.  We got a nice dose of rain yesterday - which was awesome except that I forgot about my clothes hanging out to dry so those got a second rinse cycle.  And hopefully there'll be a break in the heat now too!  Well I wanted to share a beautiful, limited edition polish from Sweet Heart Polish that I picked up last month.  Cassandra created this beauty in limited supply and as a nod to Back to the Future.  Oct 21 2015 is $11 USD and there are still a few bottles available!  So read my post and look at my pictures real quick like and go get yours ASAP!

Oct 21 2015 is a "frosty lilac ultra linear holographic polish with blue to violet to gold shifting UCC flakes."  This is quite possibly one of my favorite Sweet Heart Polishes to date!  Cassandra really pulled out all the stops and I am huge on adding extras to a holo so the flakes really make my day.  In fact I do believe she was going for that Delorean look with these colors.  Oct 21 2015 had a great formula that applied easily.  I was pleased with the amount of flakes I got on each nail and the different sizes of the flakes added a lot of interest.  I used 3 coats of Oct 21 2015 and finished with a layer of topcoat.

I'm Late! I'm Late! I'm Late! is an orange holo with orange glitters.  This one is a jelly finish and it's sheer but buildable.  The formula and application were both great.  I used 4 coats of I'm Late! I'm Late! I'm Late! and finished with a layer of topcoat.

She Must Be A Weed is fabulous minty-ish green holo full of tiny holo square glitters.  I love this shade and the glitters, so lovely.  The formula and application were both wonderful!  Again, this one had a jelly finish but it was more opaque.  I used 3 coats of She Must Be A Weed and finished with a layer of topcoat.

Who R U? is another jelly finish polish, full of iridescent, color shifting flakies.  I dig the color and the finish on this one!  The formula is nice and squishy and I am always drawn to those beautiful flakies.  Formula and applicant were both lovely.  No issues to report.  I used 3 layers of Who R U? and no topcoat.

Off With Her Head! is a stunning strawberry pink-coral holo full of holo micro glitters.  I totally loe this color!  It's really nice to see some lighter, unexpected colors in the collection this Fall.  Of course I love my vampy shades the most, but I also enjoy variety.  The formula was pretty opaque and it applied smooth and even.  I used 2 coats of Off With Her Head! and a layer of topcoat.

The last polish in the collection is One Lump Or Two?, a purple polish full of fine iridescent shimmer and tiny flakies.  This one will surely make all the purple lovers swoon.  I like the vibrancy of the purple base with the multidimensional look with the colored shimmers.  The formula was more opaque than some of the others but I still used 3 coats of One Lump Or Two? to get that deep, rich hue.  Application was easy peasy!  Photographing those shimmers and teeny tiny flakies...not so easy!  I did my best!  Hopefully you get the idea of what this beautiful polish really looks like.

Well hullo, what have we here?  A 6th polish!?  That's right, She's Stark Raving Matte is an exclusive to the collection when you buy the entire set, which is $55.  She's Stark Raving Matte is a fabulous smokey grey-black polish full of purple magenta shifty shimmery goodness.  This polish has a waxy finish.  You can wear this alone or with topcoat for a shiny look.  I opted to show you She's Stark Raving Matte in it's natural finish so no topcoat used.  Formula and application were both lovely, I used 3 coats.
