Bamboozled Duo from Elevation Polish & Girly Bits

Good morning friends!  Oh Sunday, you come too soon.  It only means Monday is looming so near.  Last full week of Summer over here in my casa.  Well these kids are ready for school and a regular routine.  So am I. So I think the general consensus is happiness.   I think I might actually get back to a regular blogging routine too!  Woot woot!  I'm already trying now and here's my latest morning post in my feeble attempt to keep up with a daily share!  This is a super special duo.  2 of my favorite brands, Elevation Polish and Girly Bits, teamed up in July to create the Bamboozled Duo!  What can I say?  LOVE!!  Lulu is the queen of the gorgeous yet subtle detailed polish while Pam kills it with holo and vibrant colors.  So you know this duo is totally rocking.  Unfortunately Bamboozled was only available in July and I know, my bad for sharing it just a few weeks shy of it going away.  So please forgive me and keep an eye on both pages for upcoming collections.  I think it's time to peruse polish!

Elevation Polish & Girly Bits Bamboozled Duo

I was trying to think of an easy way to wear these together without having to do real art (yeah I am THAT lazy) and I decided a simple gradient was the perfect way to show off the Bamboozled Duo.  I started off with Elevation Polish Arashiyama.  This is a stunning creamy nude holo with charcoal flakies.  Like I said before, Lulu really knows how to make a polish beautiful with subtle details and the addition of the charcoal flakies to the holo make Arashiyama unique.  The formula and application were absolute perfection.  I used 2 coats for full coverage.

I then used Girly Bits BamBoom! on my accent nail and sponged it onto the tips of my other nails.  BamBoom! is a vibrant and beautiful green holo full with holo micro glitters.  Pam did an amazing job on this holo, much like other holos she's created!  And she seems to have the knack for coming up with gorgeous greens!  The formula and application were both fantastic.  No issues to mention.  I used 2 coats for full coverage on my accent nail and sponges on 2 layers of my other nails.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

6 Harts: Shop, Facebook, Instagram

Swim Through The Deep Skies is a gorgeous medium toned blue jelly polish with a loose linear holo.  This is actually one of my favorite shades of blue, not neon but bright enough to satisfy the craving for a noticeable color.  The formula was fabulous, nice a squishy but it also built up well.  Application was perfect.  I used 3 coats of Swim Through The Deep Skies and no topcoat.

Carnal Intent is a sexy, juicy red jelly scattered holo with charcoal flakies.  You know I love me some red polish and this one is totally perfect for the Summer.  It's bright and wearable and will make for some totally gorgeous date day/night nails. It's got a great formula that is squishy and glossy.  It applies perfectly too.  I love the charcoal flakies, they give it a really unique touch.  I used 3 coats of Carnal Intent and no topcoat.

Elevation Polish Spam: Holos

Good morning!  Time for SPAM!  You ready?  I have a few posts lined up featuring some of my Elevation Polish collection!  I decided to start with holos this time because well, who doesn't love a good holo?  And Lulu makes them so perfectly that I think everyone can appreciate them.  These are all available in the shop now.

Up first is the gorgeous Tre Cime de Lavaredo from the Italian Collection in August 2014.  It's a bright gold holo.  It's got a light touch of gold flakies in it and it's absolutely gorgeous!  It's a brighter gold in direct sunlight, if you were wondering.  Formula and application were both fabulous.  I used 2 coats of Tre Cime de Lavaredo and no topcoat.

The Sea Was Red is a more recent release.  It's from the Journey Told Through Music Collection in January this year.  This is a stunning red to copper/gold duochrome holo.  The Sea Was Red is a perfect polish.  Holo, color shifting, absolutely stunning.  The formula and application were both wonderful.  I used 2 coats of The Sea Was Red and no topcoat.

Darkest Safari is a beauty that will surely speak to those of you who love dark and moody colors.  This is from The Africa Collection that released in October 2014.  Darkest Safari is a "dark green holo with green/gold shimmer."  Beautiful.  I'd say this is a loose linear finish and it work well with the dark shade.  Formula and application of Darkest Safari were stellar.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.

My last core collection holo to share is Sunset Among the Palms from the Hawaiian Punch Collection, November 2014.  This beauty is a "magenta/pink with a dash of holographic pigment and charcoal shift to blue flakie shimmer."  I'm in lust with this amazing color.  Though this was the first time it has graced my nails it has been my pedi many times over already.  Formula and application of Sunset Among the Palms was really lovely.  I did find this one a bit sheer so I used 3coats for full coverage and no topcoat.  PS - this is going to be one of my go to colors for vacations this summer!

ellagee Haute Mama (custom)

Hi again!  I really wanted to share a couple posts today but since I was stuck in swatch land and never came up for air both posts are going up now.  Hope you don't mind!  I don't think you will because if you are like me you can look at polish 24/7.  This post features another custom from ellagee.  I actually won a giveaway hosted by Laura and the prize was a OOAK custom!  How awesome is that?!  We worked together and came up with this stunning red polish!  While you can't get this exact one there is a huge selection of other finishes and colors over in the ellagee shop.

*this polish was a won in a giveaway*

I really wanted a darkened red holo full of dark micro flakies.  Laura tinkered with some shades she had on hand, tried a few different flakies and this was the stunning version I settled on!  I named it Haute Mama.  Haute Mama is a deep shade of red, with a very slight lean into the berry territory.  It has a lovely holo finish and these fabulous charcoal grey micro flakies!  The formula and application was perfect - just like any other ellagee I have tried.  I used 3 coats, not for full coverage but for maximum color deepness!   layer of topcoat to finish if off and make Haute Mama shine in all her glory!
