I'm back! Just like I said I would be! So here's my second post for tonight, again featuring Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer. Julie has adopted the siren as her brand mascot and has released a good number of Siren polishes to date. The Sirens are limited edition polishes, only available for a short time and in small quantity. They are numbered bottles and she usually only makes 30 or so. If you like one in particular you should jump on it right away because they usually don't last long in her shop. The Sirens run from $8.50 - $10. There are currently 3 Sirens available in the shop so be sure to check out which they are (none from this post sadly). I also have a Special Edition to share, Terrific Twos. Julie created this polish to celebrate her 2nd year of creating polish! So let's jump in and check out these beautiful limited/special edition polishes.
*nothing to disclose*
This coral beauty is Sun Burned Siren. It was released back in the summer months and good gosh it's so pretty. It makes me yearn for warm summer days and long sun hours! Sun Burned Siren is full of red, gold and holo shimmer as well as some micro flakies. It's so lovely. I can't wait to try it on again when I've got a tan. Sun Burned Siren was a little sheer with the first couple coats but covered completely and was fully opaque by the 3rd coat. I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.
This is Siren Noir. It's a black polish full of purple, fuchsia, green and blue shimmer as well as a touch of holo shimmer. If I recall this one came out sometime in the Fall. Siren Noir had a nice formula that was opaque and easy to work with. I liked how dark and moody Siren Noir is, it'll be nice for a date night or a Fall/Halloween mani! I used 2 coats and 1 layer of topcoat.
And here we have Sirens Are Made For Water Not Snow. This Siren is a beautiful bright blue full of electric pink shimmer. This one gave me some troubles...not as in the formula or application but as in it was very hard to capture it's correct color and it's shimmer. So here's my best effort. Sirens Are Made For Water Not Snow had a crelly like formula that was easy to apply with great coverage. I used 3 coats for full coverage. It dries to a rubber-type finish so I used 1 layer of topcoat for gloss and shine.
Now we have come to the Special Edition shade, Terrific Twos. This is a beautiful turquoise microglitter with a touch of holo and a few darker blues mixed in. Terrific Twos is a full coverage microglitter, building up to opacity in 2-3 coats. Of course you an always use 1 coat over a base color for a different look! The formula and application were both great. I used 3 coats of Terrific Twos and finished with a layer of topcoat.
