Good evening lovelies! I had planned on getting this posted a few hours ago but family takes up more time than predicted sometimes. But now that all the littles are tucked in and kissed goodnight I can share it with you! I've got the brand new Smitten Polish Flights of Fancy Collection to share - it's a truly stunning collection of linear holo pastels and so perfect for Spring! Each one of these polishes had a fantastic formula and applied easily. All of my pictures are taken in direct sunlight. The Flights of Fancy Collection will be available for pre-order on Sunday 3/15 at 2pm Central. You can purchase individual bottle for $11.50 or the entire set for $60. The pre-order will be open for 24 hours. Are you ready to jump in and see lots of pictures and comparisons? Then let's do it!
Smitten Polish: Shop, Edgy Polish, Femme Fatale Cosmetics, Hypnotic Polish, Rainbow Connection, Facebook, Instagram
A Shimmer of Hummingbirds is a "muted warm green linear" holo. The soft shade is beautiful, perfect for Spring. The formula and application were both great. I used 3 easy coats for full coverage and no topcoat.
I've compared A Shimmer of Hummingbirds on my index and ring fingers to Whiskey in the Jar on my middle and Audrey's Rainbow on my pinky. You can see that A Shimmer of Hummingbirds is more green with no blue tones.
An Opera of Canaries is a "muted golden-yellow linear " holo. I'd say that in direct sun it's more true yellow than golden yellow, or it could possibly be my skin tone. Whichever way it leans on you it is a gorgeous and wearable yellow. I used 3 coats for full coverage and no topcoat.
I've compared An Opera of Canaries to Sunny Side Up. Sunny Side Up is on my accent nail and you can clearly see the differences here, Sunny Side Up is a much more vibrant color but An Opera of Canaries has a stronger holo.
A Gross of Grosbeaks is a "muted rose-copper linear" holo. Of course I think this is my favorite from the collection. I just can't resist a lovely rosey pink and this one is really perfect! A Gross of Grosbeaks was a bit more opaque than the last 2 and I only needed 2 coats for complete coverage. No topcoat.
Here I've got a comparison of A Gross of Grosbeaks and Udora's Harvest. Udora's Harvest is on my accent nail and you can see it's a cooler shade of pink with a more metallic finish.
A Richness of Martins is a "muted medium purple linear" holo. I loved that this is a vibrant pastel - if it can be both. The holo effect was really strong here. The formula and application were both lovely. I used 3 coats and no topcoat. I didn't have any solid purple Smitten holos to compare this to.
A Parliament of Owls is a "muted coppery-orange linear" holo. This is another of my favorites. Well it's hard to really say favorite because they are all so gorgeous, but in terms of color preference yes, I have favorites. I totally dig that this is such a soft orange it is almost a nude. But it definitely has color to it! the formula and application were both fabulous. I used 3 easy coats for full coverage and no topcoat.
This comparison is of A Parliament of Owls and The Accidental Nudist. The Accidental Nudist is on my accent nail and is much more pink leaning nude.
Lastly we have A Bouquet of Warblers. This is a "muted blue linear" holo. I'd actually classify it as a cornflower blue. So pretty! Another fabulous formula and application here. It applied like a dream in 2 coats and no topcoat.
My last comparison is of A Bouquet of Warblers to Ker-Bloom (middle finger) and Himalayan Blue Poppy (pinky). All very different shades of blue and different grades of holo.
