Good day to you lovelies! I am enjoying the warmer weather that we've had in NorCal recently. While it's still chilly, you can feel the sun warming up your skin and it's nice enough for me to wear sandals and flip flops (thank goodness because unless they are running shoes I loathe wearing anything close-toed). And you know what? It's that time of the month again that I am honored to share the upcoming A Box Indied collection! March brings us the Spring Theory collection, 5 spring-y polishes from fabulous indie brands. This box will be available for pre-order from 3/1-3/4 and costs $50 plus free US shipping. The $25 gift cards are also still going on - each maker will provide a gift card to their shop in some lucky orders so there are 5 $25 gift cards floating around out there - maybe one will be in your order! Ok are you ready? Let's jump in and check out what Black Cat Lacquer, Contrary Polish, Crows Toes, Fair Maiden Polish and Girly Bits Cosmetics have come up with for this fun sub-box.

Contrary Polish made Read My Tulips, a beautiful fresh purple full of red shimmer. This one really wowed me! The brighter shade of purple along with the shimmer really work here. And it's definitely not a hidden shimmer - so glad for that! Nothing worse than shimmer that doesn't translate on the nail. So I used 3 coats for full coverage and maximum color intensity. I finished with topcoat.
Crows Toes came up with Mad As A March Hare, an ethereal iridescent and shimmery polish that you can use on it's own (for an angelic look) or as a topper. I chose to show you how this polish looked on it's own. Here's the link to Pointless Cafe's post showing Mad As A March Hare over base colors. This polish is literally packed full of iridescent flakies...it's so shimmery and pretty! Reminds me of delicate wings. I used 3 coats to reach as much opacity as possible, but you can see there is clearly still visible nail line. I'm guessing you could get away with 1 coat over a base color. I finished with topcoat.
This is Going Off The Peep End from Fair Maiden Polish. It's a beautiful pink holo with tiny flakes. This is such a girly-pink, sure to please all the pink lovers out there. My daughter immediately tried to swipe it from me when I opened the package! So besides the fabulous color do you want to know what else was awesome about this polish? It was a one coater! Formula and application were amazing! I finished with a layer of topcoat.
And rounding out the collection is Girly Bits Sprout And About. This is a minty shade that falls somewhere between peppermint and spearmint. It's a metallic holo finish with some tiny glitter pieces and flakes in there. The color is refreshing and lovely, the finish is interesting. I'd say that makes it pretty unique in my collection! Formula and application were both great. I used 2 coats for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.
