Good morning beauties! I have a beautiful duo to share with you today. I can't recall exactly when I picked this up, but it definitely wasn't a Valentine's Day set, but it should be because it's totally perfect - colors, names, finishes! So beautiful and romantic. So I'm a member of this secret club called Hella Holo Customs. The first rule is you don't talk about Hella Holo Customs. Haha, just kidding. Though I have no idea if they are adding members or not at the moment...if they are you want to join. It's essentially this group that has makers come up with fantastic holos and each month there are new group customs. Well whenever Smitten was involved you know I was in line! I figured I love red and hadn't tried Vapid Lacquer (and the nail world is all a fuss over this brand at the moment) so I got it too. I mean hey, they were created as a duo. So let's go ahead and delve in and check out One Love and One Heart. And just because the names are so perfect - here's the Bob Marley song that immediately comes to mind...One Love. Enjoy the tunes while you look at my swatches! Let's get together and feel alright! <3

So this duo is gorgeous. I used to think red and pink did NOT go together. Well I was stupid. They are so cute together and they make a fantastic Valentine's mani! As I said before, this is Vapid Lacquer One Love and Smitten Polish One Heart. I wanted to use both for this mani to show how they could work to compliment each other. I am really happy with how it turned out. I started with One Love on my index and middle nails. This is a cherry red crelly polish full of purple-blue iridescent glitter and holo glitters. I love seeing all the shifty colors and bling when my nails move around. I used 3 coats of One Love. Then I put One Heart on my pinky. This is a stunning pink holo micro glitter. It was super opaque and I almost got away with 1 coat. Honestly it's probably all you'll need. But I went with 2 just to make sure I had full coverage. Formula and application of One Heart were both perfect. The to tie them together I did a gradient on my accent nail. It looked fabulous on it's own but in order to make it more "valentine's" I slapped a conversation heart deal on my nail. Super adorable! I finished up with a thick layer of topcoat to smooth it all out.
