Good morning friends! I have a fabulous post for you today, showing off all the polishes in the June A Box Indied collaboration box. The theme for this box is Campfire Tales, ooooh I love me a spooky story! I actually vividly remember reading Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and being completely terrified at night all alone in my bedroom, but I couldn't stop reading and re-reading the stories. The 5 polishes in this collaboration box take some of these folklores and translate them into fantastic polishes! You can preorder your June A Box Indied from 6/1 to 6/4 for $50 USD. And just like previous months, there will be 5 lucky buyers who receive a $25 gift card to one of the indie brands featured in this box! Now on to the sad news. Leah Ann has decided to no longer continue A Box Indied and this will be the last one. This has been my favorite of the boxes I reviewed so if you were holding out I'd highly suggest you jump on it when the presale window opens. And I just want close my intro with a thank you to the makers of the A Box Indied, I feel very lucky to have been selected out of the many amazing bloggers in our community to showcase these boxes. I'm looking forward to seeing these brands in new and exciting collaborations in the future.

High Beams
source: Mark My Thoughts
Let's start with High Beams by Contray Polish. High Beams is a creepy tale about a long woman driving home alone, being followed by another car that won't seem to leave her alone. Yet the person following her was trying to give her a warning...you can read the full story HERE. This is a gorgeous blurple jelly full of sparkling holo particles and what I think is blue/purple iridescent flakies. I completely adored this shade and wore it as a mani for a few days. That means I also get to tell you that it wore wonderfully! No chipping and minimal tip wear. Formula and application were both wonderful. I used 3 coats of High Beams and topcoat.
The Hook

Man oh man Darling Diva Polish made a real stunna with The Hook. This story involves young lovers and a murderous state asylum escapee. Friends, if the news tells you a deranged lunatic is loose in your area take heed and don't head off to a secluded area to get busy with your love interest. To read this story click the link HERE. The polish itself is a perfect representation of a glistening, shiny silver hook. It's a silver flake polish with a nice helping of holo sparkle. I used 3 thin coats of The Hook for full coverage and 1 layer of topcoat.
The Yellow Ribbon
source: YouTube
The Yellow Ribbon is an interesting and slightly sad story. As the name implies, it's about a girl who wears a yellow ribbon around her neck, day and night, never taking it off. The girl marries her long time friend and neighbor who asked her infrequently about the ribbon. It's not until much later that the old woman finally lets her husband in on her secret behind the yellow ribbon.... To read this story click HERE. The Yellow Ribbon by Takko Lacquer is a jelly finish with golden holo glitters and gold flakes. The larger glitters did seem to stick to the bottle so I wasn't able to get many of those out and onto my nail. But I did enjoy the lovely shade of yellow - reminded me of a canary. This one was a touch sheer though, so either wear a yellow (or white) base to eliminate visible ail line. I used 3 coats of The Yellow Ribbon and topcoat.
Headless Bride
source: Movie Pilot
Moving along, Crowstoes created Headless Bride. This story is about a young, wealthy bride who makes a poor choice in a husband. Let's just say things don't turn out well for her. You can read the story HERE. This is another lovely shade, a nice medium grey shade. Slight crelly formula. It's got holo sparkle and what appears to be grey and iridescent flakes. The flakes and glitters did have the slights appearance of grittiness on my nail, but I believe 2 coats of topcoat would smooth that over. Otherwise the formula and application were both great. I used 2 coats of Headless Bride and topcoat.
A-Blazing
source: Eureka Tent
This last one, A-Blazing by KBShimmer isn't a story. It's the campfire! So how cute does that tie in to the theme of the box?! This shade is so my thing, I adore it. A-Blazing is a coral-orange-leaning red creme full of these glowing golden micro flakes. It resembles the smoldering embers under the fire. The micro flakes did seem to a bit of a texture on my nail, but again, I think with 2 layers of topcoat you'd be smooth sailing. I only needed 1 coat of A-Blazing for full coverage. I finished with a layer of topcoat.
