Good afternoon lovelies! I have a beauty post to share with you today and I was very impressed with the products I received. I've used them several times since I tried them out and I am very happy with color payoff and staying power of both the eye and lip products. These are available in your local drug stores now. The NYC New York Color Get It All Lip Colors are $2.99 each and the Rimmel Lonon MagnifEyes are $6.50 and up depending on the location. I don't want to spend too much time dillydallying with chit chat so let's jump in and see what these products look like in action!
So let me tell you about the Rimmel London MagnifEyes, It's a cream shadow with a kohl liner on the other end. At first I thought the shadow was going to be really powdery and come off right away and but almost immediately it sticks on like glue! The vibrant shimmery color doesn't lose any of it's potency through the day. The kohl liners were both deep, saturated colors and were easy to use because of their pointed edge. That made easy application, even for an eyeliner novice like me! But seriously, the staying power was intense. Even my makeup remover required some scrubbing to clean up my eyes.
Pink & Purple Rain was a frosty, but not overwhelmingly so, pastel pink. It's very sparkly, which made me happy because I really enjoy a sparkly eyeshadow. I found the pink very natural and flattering. The shadow was very easy to apply, glided on smoothly and with very nice color coverage. The kohl liner is an inky eggplant purple. It also applied easily and had fantastic color payoff. It is quite dark so it wasn't very noticeable that it was a dark purple, but I still liked it. It went nicely with the pink shadow.
I also tried out a few NYC New York Color Get It all Lip Color. I found both lipsticks perfectly creamy and easy to apply with no feathering. They have a slightly-matte appearance, but not that matte dried-out look. My lips felt moisturized and plenty hydrated. The lipsticks have a light scent, but I can't place it. It's borderline sweet. Maybe vanilla?
ExeceptioNUDE is a perfect pinky-neutral shade. It's a very wearable color but it gives a polished finish. Perfect for my makeup-lazy self.
Here's the look I created with Rimmel London MagnifEyes Pink & Purple Rain and NYC New York Color Get it All Lip Color in ExceptioNUDE. A baby winged eye using the awesome double ended stick and the neutral lipstick keeping i tin the color family.
Rimmel London MagnifEyes Kissed By A Rose Gold is another lovely pairing of colors. The kohl liner is a deep chocolate brown. It's paired with a bronzey, shimmery cream shadow. I enjoyed these colors more immensely, probably because I wear these shades more frequently Just like the last one, it applied easily, with no issues.
The NYC New York Color Get It All In Lip Color I had for this look is ExtraordiBERRY. It's a reddish, very shade. Nice creamy formula and great application. It was a semi-matte finish and the red is very wearable, I think it would flatter many skin tones. I quite enjoyed the bright shade, my husband did not. He's used to seeing me in more neutral colors so I gave him a pass for his honesty and dislike for the red shade on me.
For this look I used the Rimmel London MagnifEyes shadow stick in Kissed By A Rose Gold on my lid and under my bottom lashes for some extra color. I then lightly lined my lower lash line and half of my upper lash line for a more natural look. And of course NYC New York Color ExtraordiBERRY on my lips! Ta-Da! 2 looks using these fabulous products.
