Good morning all! I've got a pretty large post to share with you today so get in a comfy chair, make sure your boss in on lunch and get ready for an awesome collection. China Glaze recently released their Fall collection - Rebel. I love this collection for 2 reasons, it's 1990's inspired and the names are all plays on songs from that time. YES! The Rebel Collection is available now with select shades at Ulta and Sally's. The complete collection will be at BeautyPlusSalon.com. They retail for $7.50 each. You ready? Then let's go!
This is Fresh Prince-ss. I'll admit this first one doesn't really make me think of the 90's because I was definiltey more of an Empire Records kid than a Clueless one. But I know it will totally hit home with others. Besides, it's a totally perfect bubblegum shade of pink! The formula and application are both great. I used 3 thin coats and no topcoat.
Holo At Ya Girl! is a glitter topper full of green and blue (and I think I saw some gold in there) glitters and shimmer. I put it over Fresh Prince-ss and thought it looked pretty. Formula and application were both great. I used 2 coats for nice coverage. Finished with a layer of topcoat.
Y'all Red-y For This is a shimmery red. Super classy color that reminds me of Gwen Stefani. Not 90's punk rock Gwen, but the more glamorous Gwen we know now. Formula and application were both perfect. I used 2 coats and topcoat.
Jagged Little Teal (great name) is a dusty teal creme. Gorgeous color, perfect for Fall nails. And now we are getting into colors that really do mind me of the 90's. Formula and application were both great. I used 2 oats and no topcoat.
Don't Mesh With Me is another nice topper in the collection. It's like a purple chunky shimmer. I think this would look pretty awesome over many base color but I put it on over Jagged Little Teal I used 2 coats and topcoat.
Combat Blue-ts is one of my favorites in this collection. It's drool worthy cobalt blue matte polish. It looks so velvety and the matte finish is perfect. I had no issues with the formula or application. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
Dope Taupe is the perfect grungey greige. It's creamy and opaque and a nice neutral shade with just a little edginess. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
And here we have Pearl Jammin', my other favorite in the collection. It's a stunning baby blue full of golden-pink shimmer. I do think the formula is a bit on the sheer side but it applied well and I had great coverage in 3 coats. I finished with topcoat.
Purple Fiction (another great name) is a medium toned purple full of shimmer that gives it a glowy effect! This is a gorgeous polish with a fabulous formula. Application was also pretty amazing. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
Teen Spirit is a blurple jelly with blue and purple particles. I honestly can't tell if these are tiny flakes or chunky shimmers. But they are really pretty and work nicely with the base color. Plus I'm totally digging this moody shade. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
If you liked Teen Spirit you are probably going to like Blue-ya. This is a blue, slightly teal jelly with those same green parties that I can't tell what they are. Chunky shimmer or micro flakes. You be the judge on that. Formula and application were both great. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
And last but not least is Heroine Chic. This is an interesting polish, t's a pewter base and full of re shimmer. Formula and application were both good. Be careful to not overwork the polish when applying or you could end up with some visible brush strokes. I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
