Hella Holo Customs; KBShimmer August 2017

Good morning!  It's the weekend and I'm home from our end of Summer vacation.  Now I'll have to spend time playing catch-up on a few things because while we were gone my oldest missed Middle School Orientation and my littlest missed Kindergarten Roundup.  Nothing major since I can turn in paperwork on Monday and assessment can happen the first day of school.  Gah!  I can't believe the kids go back to school in 4 days!  They are a mix of excited and bummed, and I'm feeling the same.  Well I sit over here moping that my days of sleeping in are numbered, let's talk about whey we're really here, nail polish.  KBShimmer Hella Holo Custom nail polish to be exact.  KBShimmer is making another appearance as the featured maker this year and the August contributions are stunners!    I know you know the drill by know...you MUST be a member of the HHC Facebook group in order to purchase these, names are checked against the member list.  So be sure to join up if you haven't already and then you can get this gorgeous trio!  They are $10 each and available until the end of the month.

Let's start with Pinking of Paradise, a cotton candy pink with aqua shimmer and holo glow flakes.  GORGEOUS!  I usually swing my favor more towards darker shades, but this is just so beautiful I couldn't help but fall in love with it.  Formula and application were both fantastic.  I used 3 thin coats and finished with a layer of topcoat.

One Holo-of a Storm is a periwinkle leaning blue polish with pink flakes that show at certain angles and a blue shift to round out the level of awe.  There is a helping of holo glitters to add even more wow!  I love all the elements in this polish, they work together perfectly to create a total masterpiece.  Formula and application were both great.  I used 3 thin coats for full coverage and topcoat.

And rounding out the August selections is That Goes Without Cyan.  It's an aqua leaning blue linear holo with bits of copper and gold.  I love this color.  It's so summer-perfect (and now I'm sad, back to thinking about how Summer is over), yet it's also a fabulous transition into Fall shade (ok happy again thinking about Autumn).  Awesome formula, awesome application.  I know the copper and gold bits are supposed to be subtle but I wish they are more prominent.  I used 2 coats for full coverage and topcoat.
