KBShimmer; Falloween Collection 2018

Good evening!  I've been out and about all day and I am literally exhausted right now.  It's getting really, really hard to keep up with my typical schedule as I'm getting further along in this pregnancy.  Tired, achey and cranky, that's my current life. Yup, just change my name to Party Pooper Jen.  But I have had some time to play with incoming polish and so many pretty Fall collections are out!  Tonight I have the KBShimmer Falloween Collection, it launched last weekend  at Polish Con in Minneapolis.  For the rest of y'all, the Falloween Collection will be available online on 10/1.  This is a really lovely collection, the colors are all great and cohesive, and the names are all fun (as is the norm for anything Christy names!).  I definitely have favorites but overall the entire collection is great for the Fall and Halloween. You'll be able to get the Falloween Collection for $10 each.  Let's jump in and check out the goodies!

Starting this Halloween party off with The Snuggle Is Real, a pretty cashmere creme that really does look like the most cozy sweater or blanket ever!  This is nice alone but it's going to be a great base for nail art this season!  No problems with formula or application.  2 coats and no topcoat need.

Take It Or Leaf It is a show stopper for me.  I am a sucker for autumn shades and flakes in general so this is a double whammy in my book!  It's packed full of UCC flakes that shift from red to copper to gold to green.  I have 1 coat on over The Snuggle Is Real.  You can see it's a fairly light coverage so if you wanted denser flakes use more coats or sponge it on.  I finished with topcoat.

Hide and Eek is another favorite of mine.  But I am in love with glitter crellies so again, no surprise here.  This is a white crelly with matte micro glitters in classic Halloween colors; purple, green, orange, black, grey and yellow.  Like a perfect Halloween rainbow.  I used 3 coats to cover my nail line and build up the opacity.  Great formula and application.  Topcoat to finish.

Holo lovers rejoice, this is Smashed.  It's a fusty shade of orange and is reminiscent of a PSL.  Of course, you can see that it's a gorgeous linear holo.  Formula and application were both perfect, no issues at all.  2 coats and no topcoat.

But wait!  There's another orange in here!  This baby is Here For the Boo's and it's a real looker!  Say hello to orange holo glitters that will add a sparkly finish to your costume! Formula covered well in 2 coats.  It does dry down kind of dull so you will want a thick, glossy topcoat to really enhance that shine.

Creep It Together took my by surprise.  I applied it and thought, well this is just an alright multichrome.  It has all the colors I like for Fall.  It has some flakies in it.  The shift shows up well.  And I went on my way swatching it.  Then I realized it was a magnetic (thanks for the heads up Michelle!).  Ok, I liked it well enough before but this is probably the craziest magnetic polish I have ever played with.  It works crazy good and shows up so well!  So the magnetic finish is what pushes this into the favorites category for me.  Creep It Together is a purple-mauve base with shifts to gold and green with what I believe is aurora shimmer and spare but large flakes.  I used 2 coats and finished with topcoat.

Last but not least is Spell Check.  Adorable name and surprisingly a polish that I really enjoyed.  I'm not much for blues (or purples as you know) but this jelly formula full of green and blue flakes is super squishy and mesmerizing.  Plus it had a fantastic formula and applied so nicely!  I used 3 thin coats to reach almost full opacity and finished with topcoat.

Fool Moon is a fun lime green mulitchrome that shows off lime green, darker green at the edges and some golden shades.  Much like other non-shimmery multi chromes, you will see some streaks but it's nothing to freak out over as they are minimal.  Other than that great formula and application.  2 coats and no topcoat.

And of course, a darker green to round out that color scheme!  Absinthe Minded is a vibrant, deep green multi chrome.  I see dark blue and dark purple with shifts of the hand and lighting (more so to IRL eyes than in pictures).  It has the softest touch of shimmer but you will still notice just a little bit of streaking with you apply it.  Otherwise it was all good.  2 layers and no topcoat used.

YAS!  Another sparkly barkly polish!  Best Witches is a purple full of holo micro glitters.  I want to do a mani alternating orange and purple sparkle nails!  Applied easily, no problems with the formula. But again, it does dry dull and will need a good topcoat for a shiny finish.
