Girly Bits Cosmetics; Limited Edition September Colour of the Month Duo - Grape Escape & The Day Shift

Evening!  Hope you had a lovely weekend.  I enjoyed watching both of my boys play in soccer games and my daughter had her first Girl Scout meeting.  While I wasn't really on board with it at first I am thankful that it is so low commitment and I don't really have to do anything.  Fits with my  crazy schedule perfectly!  Before the weekend wraps up I wanted to share the newest Girly Bits CotM Duo with you.  These are always a favorite of mine because Pam's polishes are always fabulous...well these two are stunning!  And if you are a purple lover you are going to be so happy!  The September CotM Duo will be available until 10/1.  Take advantage of the early bird pricing available until 9/10, you can save a few buck when you get both shades.  $16.50 CAD each or $31 for the set.  Still available after the 10th but you will have to pay full price.  Let's go ahead and jump in to see Grape Escape and The Day Shift.

I wanted to start with Grape Escape.  It's my favorite of the pair.  This is a vibrant purple jelly (yes the official description says crelly but it seemed more like a jelly to me) full of gold to red shifty shimmer and iridescent flakes that show off pink and gold.  Such a beauty and I love both the formula and finish.  Plus I feel like this will make a stellar Halloween mani, perfect shade of purple for that! I used 2 coats and only had slight visible nail line.  No problems with formula or application. Finished with topcoat.

And here's The Day Shift.  Another faboosh purple! This one is a dusty metallic purple with mauve-y undertone.  It has some shift to it, showing off some maroon and gold.  Formula and application were both fine, no real problems.  My only complaint is that this one was a tad streaky.  Not sure why.  Maybe the shimmer was heavy handed and caused it to occur. But the shift was nice and overall, I liked the polish.  2 coats for full coverage, topcoat to finish.
