Stella Chroma: October Trio, 2019

Hullo, hullo!  Monday, you weren't so bad!  I got to the gym for a weight lifting sesh with friends and then even ran a few miles on the treadmill.  Polishing off the rest of the birthday cake in my house pretty much negated any good I did earlier, oh well, it's a step in the right direction!

Parallax Polish Stat-ick-tics Collection

China Glaze House Of Colour, Spring 2016

Good afternoon all and happy Saturday!  I want to say my kid's "ski week" was full of fun and adventure, and while we did make a trip to Disneyland it wasn't the best trip we've ever been on.  All 3 of my littles ended up being super grumpy and fighty and sick.  I'm talking fevers and chills and vomit here people.  Not what I was expecting on this vacation.  Fortunately they're all making a turn for the better now and I'm certain they'll be fine when it's time to go back to school on Monday.  But I'll tell ya, I can't wait for the weather to stabilize and warm up.  This hot and cold isn't helping anyone.  So while I hope for Spring (well Summer actually) I figured I'd share the new Spring collection from China Glaze.  This gorgeous set called House Of Colour, is full of shimmers and glitters and cremes. Paint Box Polish Ravenclaw & Gryffindor

Good morning dears!  You are reading.  I am driving to the Central Valley for a soccer tournament.  You are probably having more fun than me.  Ok I am being dramatic.  I love watching my kids play, I'm his biggest fan!  If you were around last night and saw my post you'd know that Paint Box Polish is releasing a new collection today - The Knight Bus Collection.  If you missed it you can see it HERE.  But today I am sharing a few polishes from an older collection also inspired by Harry Potter. This blue beauty is Ravenclaw.  It's a shimmery, deep blue packed with fine bronze glitter.   Of course this is inspired by the House Ravenclaw.  If you look up Ravenclaw on Harry Potter Wiki you will learn that "Ravenclaw values intelligence, knowledge and wit.  It's emblematic animal is the eagle, and it's colors are blue and bronze."  Pam nailed it!  The base plus the glitters create a metallic look that is so pretty.  The formula and application were both great.  I used 2 coats of Ravenclaw for full coverage and finished with a layer of topcoat.

And everyone's favorite house, Gryffindor!  I went on Pottermore and am happy to report that I was placed in the Gryffindor!  Gryffindor is described as valuing "bravery, daring, nerve and chivalry.  It's emblematic animal is the lion and the colors are scarlet and gold." And Paint Box's Gryffindor is shimmery red fine gold glitters in irregular shapes.  This is a stunning color!  It's one of those lit-up, glowing ember red types that get me all lusty.  The formula and application were both fabulous.  I used 2 coats of Gryffindor for full coverage and a layer of topcoat.

I had to share one more picture of Gryffindor!  Here I am holding my Hermoine Granger wand.  I got this from Olivander's in Daigon Alley.  Coolest place ever!  If you haven't been to Universal Studios Orlando, all the Harry Potter stuff makes it more than worth the crowds.
