Alter Ego August Indie Pickup Exclusive: Fantasia Bath Crumbs

Afternoon y'all!  Those of you with kids, are they back to school yet?  I have a week to go and them mine are out of my hair.  Really though they have been pretty well behaved this Summer, maybe they are all maturing!  And maybe it will give me some time to catch up on blog things!  I swear the only cardio I get these days is running late, ha! Ok so I know by now that you are all familiar with the Polish Pickup.  But they have a new group called the Indie Pickup.  It's kind of like a free for all market where indie makers of all sorts can create and sell items that coordinate with the PPU theme.  So the IPU theme is Musicals and it will be open after the PPU.  This month IPU will be open from 8/17 - 8/20.  Alter Ego created a new scent for her popular Bath Crumbs.  Fantasia, inspired by the movie of the same name, will be $7.50 for a 4oz jar, that comes with a scoop.  It will be limited to 14 jars.  So let's jump in and check out the Bath Crumbs!

ellagee August Polish Pickup Exclusive: Superstar

Evening friends!  Thursday night is such a teaser, so close to Friday but so far from the weekend!  I have another PPU post to share with you today, this one is from ellagee. Laura was inspired by Jesus Christ Superstar.  I know this is one of the classic musicals (along with Cats, Hair, Le Mis) but I have never seen it (or any of those others I mentioned), for shame. Stella Chroma August Polish Pick Up Exclusives: Poppies! and Emulsified Sugar Scrub Poppies

Good morning again!  Are you tired of me and my double posting ways yet?  I swear sometimes the PPU just creeps up on me and I'm a crazy person trying to share everything in time!  But I've just about got them all shared now!  As I've mentioned before in my last few posts, the Polish Pickup theme for August is Musicals.  It's such a wide net cast to cover all musicals and movies with music in them and all that I've seen so far has been great!  Stella Chroma picked The Wizard of Oz, a movie I grew up watching and singing songs to.  Total classic!  Poppies! is a nod to the scene in the poppy field in the movie.  Poppies! will be available from 8/3 - 8/6 for $12, no cap.  There is also an Emulsified Sugar Scrub with the same name, Poppies! available.  You can pick up a 2.5oz jar for $5.50.  Let's head in to the post and check it out.

Dreamland Lacquer August Polish Pickup Exclusive: You Look Like Seafood

Good morning!  It was a long travel day yesterday, I went to bed late and woke up even later. But it's back to reality and I've got a list a mile long of things to do! Let's start off my day with a little PPU post for the August Musicals!  Dreamland Lacquer picked one of my favorite new Disney movies, which are basically all musicals because there is so much singing.  Anyways, we have a gorgeous polish here called You Look Like Seafood inspired by the song sang by Tamatoa, the giant crab.  He's quite the character and looks pretty awesome with the bioluminescence painted all over his face. Good morning!  Sadly I am boarding a plane and am off on my return home trip.  Wah, I always hate leaving Hawaii.  I wish I lived here.  But I don't so I guess it's back to reality for me.  Might as well get it with that mind set now!  Alright, so last night I dove in to the PPU posts I have to share.  I'll continue along with that line of thought today.  The August theme is Musicals.  That leaves a pretty wide array of subject matter because basically any movie with singing in it is a musical, including cartoons.  There are so many great musicals and many are represented this month!  KBShimmer went with one that I'm sure everyone is familiar with, Grease!  When I was in high school I used to sing and act out the scenes, I would always be Sandy and would make my little sister be Danny (HA, I was so mean).  My bestie and I still call each other "Pinky Lee" when we talk to each other.  So you get my drift, I grew up with this musical and love it! Good evening!  I'm on Hawaii time so this post isn't really that late night for me, but for everyone else it's an absurd hour so excuse me for that!  My vacation was literally only in the room for sleeping time so I didn't have much time to share posts at night.  It's time to start bombarding you with August PPU posts.  The theme for the month is Musicals, how fun!
