Good afternoon. I have a special edition, indie collaboration box to share with you in this post. 8 indie brands cam together to create this box - LightHouse Of Hope, to benefit the I Need A Lighthouse Organization. I Need A LightHouse is an organization that works directly with people who suffer from depression disorders and also helps to educate the families of those individuals so they can help their loved ones. If you'd like to learn more information about I Need A LightHouse you can find it HERE. The boxes will be available on November 16 at 12pm EST through the Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer store. There will only be 20 boxes available so act quickly to get these beautiful polishes and to support a great organization. The box will cost $80 and $60 of that will be donated to I Need A LightHouse. International rates will be $94.25 to Canada and $98.25 elsewhere. Julie from BEGL plans to provide screenshots of the donation/donation amount once made. You can also donate directly to I Need A LightHouse by visiting the website HERE.
So let's jump in and check out the gorgeous and meaningful polishes these 8 lovely brands came up with! I have the makers description AND inspiration for each polish.

Lighthouse Of Hope Box: Purchase
Alter Ego Nail Enamel - Hope Grows, "a medium green foil-ish finish." This is a beautiful polish with great formula and application. I used 2 coats for full coverage. Hope Grows dries to a matte finish. I used 2 coats of She Shines topcoat for a glossy finish.
"While this woman doesn't suffer from depression she knows lots of people who do. She Grows Hope for those she know who suffer, trying to make others more aware of how personal these issues can be, and by standing quietly by the side of these people she loves so much, without judgement, to help in whatever way she can."
Rica - Alchemical Seas Of Hope, a "sea green jelly with various green/gold glitters (dots, squares, hexs and micro glitter) in various finishes (holographic, metallic and matte). This is a new-to-me brand and paint me a fan. Alchemical Seas Of Hope is a stunning color and the jelly finish is spot on. Formula and application were both great. I used 4 coats of Alchemical Seas Of Hope and 1 layer of topcoat.
"I named it Alchemical Seas of Hope because sometimes depression can feel like you’re in turbulent seas. As hard things may seem to be, there is always a lighthouse of hope in the horizon. Don’t lose sight of that."
Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer - Never Look Back, a "clear base packed with emerald green micro glitter and sparked of blue and purple." Never Look Back is one blingy polish. The blue glitters really stand out against the green. Formula and application were both stellar. I used 3 coats of Never Look Back and 2 layers of topcoat.
"I’m constantly reminding myself to look to the future and not dwell on the past. It can be immensely difficult to do so, but it is completely necessary for my recovery. Remember that the future holds amazing things, so don’t dwell on the bad from the past!"
Ellagee - Sparks Of Hope, a "lush emerald green with sublet shifts of teal and gold sparkling with gold holo dust." This rich green is a total stunner. Formula and application were both great. I used 3 coats of Sparks Of Hope and finished with 1 layer of topcoat.
"When things look dark even the smallest spark of hope can light the way to healing."
Peita's Polish - Serenity, a "teal crelly full of various sized turquoise holographic glitter." I've never tried this brand before and I was very pleased with it. The shimmer is just the perfect amount, abundantly shimmery but not frosty. Formula and application were both fabulous. I used 3 coats of Serenity and 1 layer of topcoat.
"It reminds me of the twinkling clear waters of Australian beaches. I know the beach is often a place of solace for many people in times of stress."
Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Breathe, an "aqua/turquoise holographic polish with a little silver and blue shimmer." This one actually made me catch my breath it was so lovely. Breathe had a wonderful formula and applied perfectly. I used 3 coats (2 would be just fine) and 1 layer of topcoat for a high-gloss shine.
"I think it's what we all need. To take a deep breath and go on. Everything is easier when you can breathe."
Philly Loves Lacquer - I Made You A Nest, a "lightly tinted teal base packed with silver, turquoise, teal, blue and green micro glitters." This is another super sparkly bling-bomb and I loved it. Formula and application were both perfect. I used 3 coats of I Made You A Nest and finished with 1 layer of topcoat.
"I made this to pay homage to the comic by Robot Hugs, which I found right before I sought help for my own depression. Sometimes you just need a friend to make you a nest of cuddly blankets and hang out with you in it when things are really rough. http://www.robot-hugs.com/nest/"
Sweet Heart Polish - You're Amazing, a "deep royal blue jelly with a mix of matte, metallic and holographic blue glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes with micro iridescent bar glitter." This polish is amazing. I love the jelly finish and the bar glitters (yes I am a big fan). Formula and application were both top-notch. I used 4 coats of You're Amazing and finished with a layer of topcoat.
"I named this beauty You’re Amazing, because sometimes you can forget this and it always nice to have a reminder."
