Afternoon dears! Evening dolls!  I've tried to stay inside as much as possible this hot weekend.  Every time I went outside I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust.  But on the plus side my tan is off the hook! I just got home from soccer, my family wants to go out to Red Lobster because of the all you can eat crab...it's for a limited time you know.  Ha!  My 11 year old has been telling us about it all day.  So before we do that I figured I'd drop this fabulous new duo of you to oogle over.  I've tried polishes form both brands in the past and am always impressed...this duo really shows off how great both brands are!  The back story to the duo is a joke.  Brandie had a naming contest in her group and Amy suggested Hoot This Way.  Amy submitted that name for every contest Brandie had for a polish name.  Brandie FINALLY gave in and told Amy if she'd let her name a polish Drunk and Disorderly, she'd name a polish Hoot This Way.  And there we have the creation of this beautiful duo!  The duo is already available on the Nail Hoot website and the price is $18 plus shipping.  So let's jump in to the post and then you can mosey on over to shop!

Good morning polish loving friends!  The week is half over...hang in there (insert kitten hanging on a tree branch image).  I've got a busy Wednesday ahead of me as usual, but thankfully once school it out it's time to lay low at the house and chill.  So before I head out this morning I wanted to share a pretty new holo trio. Nail Hoot released the Space Galaxy Trio a few months back and it was so successful Brandie decided to do a Space Galaxy Trio Part II!  These are all scattered holos with shimmer and they are gorgeous colors.  The Space Galaxy Trio Part II is available now for the extremely affordable price of $18.50 per trio or $7 each individual bottle.  There is also an option for mini sized bottles.  Now I'm ready to share pictures with you so let's jump in!

Nail Hoot Limited Edition Bible Stories Collection, Winter 2015

Good evening dears!  I can't believe December is well under way and I'm no where near ready for Christmas or my upcoming vacation!  Can I start panicking now?!  If you're feeling like me let's stop, take deep breaths and think about what's really important.  Ok, better?  Now if that didn't work let me distract you with a gorgeous, limited edition collection from Nail Hoot.  The Bible Stores collection released on 12/1 and won't be around long!  So I'll tell you know that if you fall in love with any (or all) of these act quickly to acquire them.  The pigment used is in short supply and once it's gone, so will be these polishes.  The Bible Stories collection consists of 4 shimmery holos in gorgeous shades.  This is my favorite release from Nail Hoot - the colors are all breath taking.  The Bible Stories collection is available now and each polish is $9 USD or you can pick up the 4-piece set for $34.20.  So let's jump in and enjoy these beauties!

Nail Hoot Space Galaxy Trio

The evening is moving along and I have a third post for you to check out.  Brandie from Nail Hoot was a busy bee recently and came up with another trio!  Are you feeling adventurous?  Want to jump in the nearest space ship and cruise around the galaxy with a hubba hubba hunk like Starboard?  No?  Well I can give you the next best thing...a trio of spectacular and spacey polishes!  This is the Space Galaxy Trio and it's FABULOUS, my favorite collect from Nail Hoot to date! All 3 are dark (like space) and full of holo and shimmer (like space).  The Galaxy Trio is available now as a set for $13.80 (mini) or $18.50 (full) OR individual bottles at $7 each!  If you like dark and moody polishes then you need to go get these right away!  Let's take a looksie and see more of these galactic beauties.

Lets start with Escape Velocity, named for the speed required to escape the Earth's gravity.  It's a dark green shimmery holo polish.  I see a bit of grey and deep brown tones in there too!  The formula was great and it applied easily.  I used 3 coats of Escape Velocity for full coverage and finished with a layer of topcoat.  

This is Zero Gravity, named for the state or condition in which there is no apparent force of gravity acting on a body.  It's a dark blue full of holo and shimmer.  I do see a touch of purple in Zero Gravity also.  Again, rally nice formula and smooth application.  No issues to mention.  I used 3 coats of Zero Gravity and a layer of topcoat.  

And rounding out the trio is Dark Matter, named after the substance that does not interact with light or other electromagnetic radiation, so it can not be seen directly but it can be detected by measuring it's gravitational effects.  Dark Matter is a dark purple polish full of shimmer and holo pigments.  This purple has a touch of charcoal to it.  Again, great formula and application.  Smooth and easy to put on.  I used 3 coats of Dark Matter and finished with a layer of topcoat.  

Nail Hoot Jeepers Creepers

Are any of  you ready for Halloween?  I am ALWAYS ready for Halloween.  It's my favorite holiday, I live for the decorations and love to dress up my kids.  I especially love scary movies and painting my nails with Halloween themed polish!  So this brings us the second post I wanted to share with you tonight!  A Halloween polish (YAY!) from Brandie at Nail Hoot!  Jeepers Creepers is available in the shop now and you can get your own bottle for $7 USD.  Let's jump in and check out this Halloween polish!

This is Jeepers Creepers, a shimmery orange jelly polish full of metallic orange hexs and black shards.  I found the first coat of Jeepers Creepers to be pretty sheer.  It did build up but I still had visible nail line.  I also had to pick a few of the black shards off because they were sticking up.  Brandie suggests that you can dab or sponge the polish on, which could help with the shards that aren't flat and keep streaks at bay.  I think the heavy shimmer caused a bit of a frosty look thus causing the streaks.  I ended up using 4 coats of Jeepers Creepers and a layer of topcoat.  

Nail Hoot Holo'd Trio

Hello there!  Long time no talk to!  Life got pretty busy there for a while (it still is) but I have so much to share with you so I am fitting time in between soccer practice drop off, before games and while I cook dinner.  I don't think I've ever been so busy with the kids things so I need to find a way to manage the little time I have to do "me" things.  So here I am putting in the effort to not ignore my blog anymore this month.  I have 3 posts (maybe 4) to share with you today and the first is a fabulous trio of holos from Nail Hoot!  The first collection I reviewed for Nail Hoot was the Beginning collection.  Brandie took a few of those colors and Holo'd them!  And viola, we have the Holo'd Trio!  The Holo'd Trio is available now in both mini ($18.50) and full size ($25) bottles.  You can also pick up any of the 3 individual colors for $9 each.  So let's jump in and check them out!

Up first I have Numbers Holo'd, a lovely soft red-pink holo with a very slight shift to it.  I see some orange in there in certain lighting.  The formula and application were both really nice.  I used 2 coats of Numbers Holo'd and in the bright sunlight you can see a very slight nail line, but in regular lighting it wasn't visible.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.  

Up next is Genesis Holo'd, a blue/teal linear holo with some flashes of purple.  The flame in Genesis Holo'd is pretty dang gorgeous and make this my favorite of the trio!  Another great formula and application here, 2 coats for full coverage and a layer of topcoat.  The direct sunlight make my nail line a bit visible but in regular lighting it wasn't.  

Rounding out the trio is Leviticus Holo'd, a rusty red holo with a touch of orange shift.  You know I love this one too!  Such a Jen color.  The formula and application were both great and I had full coverage in 2 coats.  As I'd mentioned with the last 2 polishes, the direct sunlight made my nail line visible but in regular lighting it wasn't noticeable.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.
