Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer November Polish Pick Up Exclusive: The Handsomest Boys

Hey all!  I'm back with a second post tonight to share another gorgeous polish that featured in the November "Fandom" Polish Pickup.  I really like the fandom theme because it really exposes us to so many different characters that we may have never come across.  It's also really fun to see how the makers create a polish to depict those characters.  Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer was inspired by Ouran High School Host Club.  I haven't seen this show before but just from googling images I get the idea and the quick summary shows the plot is a bit deeper than that.  Think Just One of the Guys, non-sexual male escort service, cartoon (I could be TOTALLY wrong here so maybe you should go watch the show and let me know!).  Alright, well this polish will be available from 11/3 to 11/6 and will be $12.  Let's jump in and check it out!

Different Dimension Wild Spirit Trio; Transition Collection

Good evening beauties!  I meant to post this earlier in the evening but we spent time hanging out in the backyard, enjoying time laughing with the kids and talking.  Then we moved to the front yard to admire our new landscaping.  As you can guess, time got away from me.  So this here's a post for you night owls.  Hopefully on the West Coast because it's super late over on the East Coast now.  So this is the new collection from Different Dimension.  It's a transitional collection, meant to help ease us into Fall.  I don't know what the rest of the country is like, but Fall here in California is hot.  I'm still in t-shirts and flip flops until Halloween!  The Wild Spirit Trio are perfect colors for this time of year...end of Summer, not really wanting to wear neons, but not cool enough for dark and vampy shades yet either.  The Wild Spirit Trio will be available on 8/12 at 9am EST.  The polishes will be $12 each.  Alrighty then, let's jump in and check them out!

Zoya Petals Collection; Spring 2016

Good morning!  Tomorrow is officially Earth Day!  So I thought it was fitting to share the Zoya Petals Collection with you because it's that time of the year when Zoya offers their awesome Earth Day Exchange.  Let me fill you in on the promo this year and then we'll jump into the pictures featuring the Spring 2016 Petals Collection!  Every year Zoya has a fabulous offer where you can send in your unloved or used up nail polish to be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner and in return you get a 50% off discount code to buy new, gorgeous Zoya nail polish.  The catch is you just pick at least 6 bottles (and up to 24), use the code ZGREEN for 50% off and free shipping at checkout.  Then follow the instructions to send in your polish.  This is runs on the honor system so do the right thing!  Send in your exchange polish or donate it to a local cause.  And that's it!  Just in case you need more info, here's the direct LINK to Zoya's Earth Day Exchange page.

Now that you know about the promo, let's talk about the Petals Collection.  Petals is a heavy pink-coral collection of shimmery shades that is reminiscent of flowers.  I like that the shimmer has varying degrees of strength, from subtle to in-yo-face.   The Petals Collection is currently available on the Zoya site and you can pick them up for $10 each.  I also saw that Zoya has Hot Lips that match the polish shades, cuteness!  Alright, time to jump into the post!

Summer of Untrieds Day 9: International Brand

Good morning!  Today is Day 9 of Summer of Untrieds and the theme is Lilypad Lacquer.  I don't have too many Lilypads and the ones I have I already tried.  So I picked another theme and to keep in kind of in synch with showing off an Aussie brand I decided to make today International Brand day.   So stick around to see what brands I have on! If you want to partake in lowering your untried stash count feel free to jump in on the challenge and tag your Facebook and Instagram pictures with #summerofuntrieds.

I decided to try out Nailspt Good Karma.  I don't know much about this brand, or if it's eve around anymore.  I received this in a swap and I believe it is from Portugal, don't quote me on that.  Good Karma is a soft periwinkle base full of pastel glitters.  I am not fully sure if it would build up on it's own so I decided to layer it over Catrice Who Are Blue, a periwinkle creme. I used 2 coats of Who Are Blue and 2 coats of Good Karma.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Indigo Bananas Fiery The Angels Fell & Maui Wowee (Maui SE)

Good afternoon all!  I know I already posted this morning but I couldn't wait to share these polishes with you - they are AMAZING!  Indigo Bananas is a great brand that has created some gorgeous polish!  I've reviewed some in the past and you can see those posts HERE and HERE.  You can follow Indigo Bananas on Facebook and Instagram (indigobananas).  Or you can just head straight to the shop and purchase some of these beauties!  Bottles range from $6.25 - $12 depending on the size and complexity of the polish.   The 2 I have to show you today are from the brand new Endless Summer August 2013 collection.  The set consists of 7 polishes total and they are all pretty darn fabulous!  So lets take a look-see at the 2 I had the pleasure to try out!

Fiery the Angels Fell is a real stunner!  Andrea, the mastermind behind Indigo Bananas, describes FTAF as "a strong coral red or raspberry red that shifts golden orange to lighter orange."  I love this color.  I really love these red-orange polishes, they are bright but not blinding and so rich!  It's such a Jen color.  The coppery gold shimmer plays very well with the red-orange-coral color.  The shift on FTAF was really strong and I was able to capture it in a few pictures!  Yay!  The formula on Fiery was amazing.  Nice and creamy, it was a breeze to apply.  I used 2 coats of Fiery and 1 layer of topcoat.

This loverly polish is Maui Wowee (aka Maui SE).  This baby really killed me...it's SO gorgeous.  Andrea describes this one as a "bright metallic aqua with sky blue, blue-purple (periwinkle-ish) shifts, and a linear holographic, metallic chrome finish." *that was me paraphrasing*  Phew, that's just alot of awesome.  I found myself staring at my nails to catch the shift, which was very noticeable.  The holo effect is very strong as well.  MW is basically the most awesome polish you could ever own...this is definitely one of my top 10 for 2013!  The formula was lovely and easy to work with.  The first coat was sheer and I ended up using 3 coats for full coverage.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.  The topcoat did not diminish the holo effect.
