Sweet Heart Polish: Dahlia & Disneyland or Bust

Good morning!  I have some lovely polishes from a lovely brand to share today!  You've probably seen the amazing duo's recently released by Sweet Heart Polish (SHP + a different brand in each duo).  Well aside from those amazing duos and the next ones coming out, Sweet Heart Polish has a fantastic stock in her shop of glitters, holos, shimmers and more!  Sweet Heart Polish is a 5-free, vegan, cruelty and gluten free artisan brand.  The full size 15ml bottles sell for $9.00 each.  If you haven't checked Sweet Heart Polish out yet you really need to go take peek.

Sweet Heart Polish: Shop, Facebook, Instagram

Let's start with Disneyland or Bust!  This cheerful blend of polish is a "mix of neon glitter with black mouse heads and rainbow shimmer."  Disneyland or Bust is so much fun, it's so bright and happy!  It makes me smile just to look at it on my nails.  The formula is great and I had awesome glitter payoff.  The mouse heads came out easily with little to no fishing required.  I used 2 coats of Disneyland or Bust over Essie Chills & Thrills.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Here we have Dahlia, "a holographic juicy purple with purple flakes." Now when I put this on I thought, what a lovely purple with flakies.  I hadn't looked it up prior to trying it on and can you imagine my surprise and glee when I walked out into the sunshine and saw that it was a soft linear holo?!  Dahlia has an almost jelly formula, it was pretty sheer on the first coat but with 3 coats it built up nicely.  You could even do another coat to fully get rid of any visible nail line.  The formula was nice and application was great.  I did not use any topcoat for my pictures, this is all Dahlia baby!

Emerald & Ash Snozzberries

Good morning friends!  As you know I have recently become a fan of the brand Emerald & Ash, not only because they have some fantastic polish and cuticle oil, but also because the duo behind the brand are both really awesome in person.  Ashley and Nate are so full of life and in sync with each other - it's no surprise to me that together they have created such a fabulous brand from top to bottom (by that I mean bottle choice, colors, labels, scents, etc...).  Well I have a gorgeous polish to share with you today so let's jump in and take a look!  And stay tuned because I hope to have a post up featuring 4 Emerald & Ash cuticle oil scents on my blog in the next week.  Full sized Emerald & Ash polish retails for $8.50 - $9.50 a bottle.

First off YES I can completely picture Snozzberries looking like this polish does!  Ashley and Nate  describe this polish as a"purple jelly that is filled with color shifting square glitter and some purple and red holo micro glitters."  Since this is a jelly base I decided to start with a ridge filling base coat, which gave my nails a bit of a matte/nude/opaque color to start with.  I was then able to reach full coverage with 2 coats of Snozzberries.  The formula was great and the application was fantastic.  No issues to bring up.  I was very happy with the glitter payoff.  And anything that makes a nod to one of my favorite movies ever is all right in my book.

"The snozzberries taste like snozzberries!"  Wasn't Gene Wilder pure genius as Willy Wonka?

KBShimmer Pink Sugar Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover & Pink Sugar Sugar Scrub

Good morning!  I have a non-polish, yet slightly polish related post for you today!  Have you tried any of the bath and body products from KBShimmer yet?  Well I hadn't until just recently and DOH, I feel like I've been under a rock.  But I'm out from under it now and add me to the fan club of these fantastic KBShimmer products.  Christy has a wide range of items, truly something for everyone.  There are lotions, sugar scrubs, cuticle oils, whipped butters, soap and bath bombs as well as base coat and topcoat!  Well I have a few of these items to share with you today, the removed and sugar scrub in the Pink Sugar scent.

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Let's start with the Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover.  Pink Sugar is a scent described as "cotton candy, lemon, caramel and raspberry fuse together with an undertone of a musk."  Pink Sugar is an amazing sent, sweet but sexy...100% feminine.  If you haven't tried anything in the Pink Sugar scent you need to now!  So I received the Moisturizing Nail Polish Remover in the blogger pack from the Vegas CosmoProf after party.  I found that the remover not only smelled wonderfully, but also worked wonderfully!  It tackles all the polish finishes with ease, doing a quick and efficient job.  It did not leave my nails or cuticles feeling dried out.  I will say that it left a weird feeling on my finger tips, like a residue or something?  But a quick rinse under water and that feeling was gone.  I don't see this product in the shop so I'm not sure if it's going to be released any time in the future.  I decided if it is introduced to the shop it would at least there would be a review floating around in cyberspace, waiting to be read.

*size reference*

I also received a small size tub of the Pink Sugar Sugar Scrub.  This product was my favorite out of the blogger package.  Again, the smell is amazing and I really loved how it made my skin feel.  It's recommended that you "scoop out a small amount of scrub from jar, combine with water and use a gentle motion to buff away the dead skin cells and form a lotion."  I really liked the gentle "grit" of this scrub.  It was just enough that my hand really felt like it was being cleaned, yet not so much that it was abrasive.  I did just as directed, scooped a small amount out with my finger (you could also use a spoon) and with a little water I gently rubbed it over my hands.  The scrub doesn't dissolve immediately and does work into a nice moisturizing layer.  Once rinsed off my hands were left feeling clean, bright and soft.

Smitten Polish Out of the Darkness

Hello lovelies!  I have a special polish to share with you today that supports a very important cause.  With everyone still aching from the loss of beloved actor Robin Williams to suicide, Noelie wanted to do something for others that might be fighting for their lives and looking a reason to keep going.  September is national Suicide Awareness Month and Smitten Polish has created a very special and complex polish that will donate $6 of each bottle sold to the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention).  Out of the Darkness will be available in September only (as of this moment) and pre-sales start on the 5th at 2:00pm Central.

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Out of the Darkness is a gorgeous dark, yet bright purple base polish full of fuchsia, green and blue metallic and holo micro glitters.  There is also some color shifting that I can see in the blue/green micro glitters.  I reached complete full coverage in 2 coats but I've somehow become accustomed to using 3 so I did a 3rd...mind you it wasn't necessary.  The formula was great - I love that Out of the Darkness is a full coverage polish but the glitters still sparkle through.  Out of the Darkness is a little hungry so I ended up using 2 coats of topcoat, though if you used a thick gel coat or Gelous you should be good to go with 1 layer.

I also included some pictures with a matte topcoat.  I love how Out of the Darkness gets this soft focus finish.  You can really see all the glitters when Out of the Darkness is mattified.  Which way do you like it better...shiny or matte?
