Hullo pretties! It's time for some Rainbow Honey. The Final Battle is a new collection that draws inspiration from Final Fantasy VII. Dee created a huge collection here and split it up into 3 groups; Part I - The Battle, Part II - The Summons and Part III - The Weapons. Each group consists of 6 polishes and they seem to have commonality - glitter toppers, glitters to wear alone and metallic shimmer finish. You can head over to Rainbow Honey to see the 12 other polishes and find out more about the collection. You can also follow Rainbow Honey on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (rainbowhoney).

Phoenix Down is from Part I - The Battle portion of the Final Battle collection. Part I focuses on the heroes in the game and the face-off between the planet and the meteor. As described in the pamphlet included in my package, Phoenix Down is "full of orange, red, white and iridescent glitters." This was my favorite of the 3 I received. I loved the color combination and the formula was really lovely. I also enjoyed the mix of square, bar and shard glitter shapes. I only needed to use 1 coat and had plenty of glitter on each nail. The glitter laid flush with my nails. I have Phoenix Down over 2 coats of OPI DS Tapestry and I finished it with 1 layer of topcoat.

Part II - The Summons is based on specific attacks used after summoning a beast or monster in the game. Tera Flare is from Part II. Tera Flare is described as having a "strong violet flash in a blackened base beaming with holographic teal, blue and silver glitters." You can really see some of that "violet flash"in my shade macro picture. I found Tera Flame a bit on the thick side but because it's a slight jelly base it did need 2-3 coats to build up to opacity. Apart from the thickness I felt this polish was a really beautiful combination of glitter and shimmer. I like that it's in such a dark base because everything really pops. I finished with 1 layer of topcoat for extra shine.
Finally from Part III we have Diamond Weapon. Part III takes inspiration from the weapons created by the planet as a means of self defense. Diamond Weapon is a "charcoal grey with gold and silver shimmer." This color is gorgeous. I really enjoyed the bronzey metal look of this polish. It will be a lovely polish to wear in the Fall and for special occasions in the Winter. Diamond Weapon starts out sheer but built up nicely in 2 coats. When I wear it again I will wear 3 coats because you can very slightly see some visible nail line is a few of the pictures. I used one layer of topcoat to finish the mani.
