Lollipop Posse Lacquer November Polish Pickup Exclusive: My Heart Is Like The Ocean

Evening friends!  I'm relaxing next to my injured child while watching my hubby make a temporary closet for the baby clothes to have a place to live.  If you weren't in the know, we are remodeling the house and went from a 3 bdr to a 1 bdr.  Things are tight, and will be even more so when the baby arrives!  But we are making due!  While I'm over here feeling cramped and out of room (both in home and in belly) I figured I'd drop another polish from the upcoming Polish Pickup for you to enjoy!  As I've mentioned before, the November PPU's theme is Badass Women and Lollipop Posse went with Tori Amos!  Now I don't know much about Tori, but my college roomie and BFF really liked her and I never could get in to her music after 4 years of listening to it (so much lamenting and melancholy tunes - you only changed my mind on The Cure, Elena!).  My Heart is Like the Ocean is specifically inspired by the song Take to the Sky.  Karen chose this song and musician because she was the inspiration for the first ever LPP collection!  $1 of each bottle purchased will be donated to RAINN, who Tori Amos was a spokesperson for.  You can learn more about RAINN here.  My Heart is Like the Ocean will be $12.50, no cap.  You can purchase it from 11/2 - 11/5.  Let's check it out!

KBShimmer November Polish Pickup Exclusive: Some Like It Scot

Morning friends!  Man, I am tired.  Yesterday was a long and exhausting day with an ambulance ride to the ER and 9 stitches in my middle little's leg.  Chunk of glass - 1, Julian - 0.  Definitely hope that's the last time I have to call an ambulance for any of my kids.  I was up all night helping him as adrenaline and meds wore off so as you can imaging, this hugely pregnant mama is wiped out and fighting a headache.  But that will not deter me from starting to share the November PPU shades I have to share with you.  November's theme is Badass Women and it covers real and made up characters.  The first polish I have to share with you is KBShimmer's Some Like It Scot, inspired by Claire Fraser from Outlander.  If you haven't read the books I highly suggest you do, they are a rich blend of history, fantasy and romance.  The show is great too but it does skip parts from the book - might be hard to follow if you haven't already read them.  Always, Claire is this badass time traveler who is a doctor/healer and a woman who can totally take care of herself!  You can pick up Some Like It Scot for $10, available from 11/2 - 11/5.  Let's jump in and check it out!

Envy Lacquer + Never Enuff Polish; TIS San Francisco Duo, Boat Snack & Beyond the Reef

Morning dears!  Exciting game this morning!  Who are we rooting for, Croatia or France?  Truthfully neither are "MY" team so I am just enjoying the game. Anywho, looking through old polish I haven't swatched/shared with you and realized I didn't do anything from The Indie Shop that was in San Francisco last summer.  It was a really fun event, mermaid themed, my daughter enjoyed it as well.  I really hope they plan on coming back to the Bay Area soon!  So this was a duo available at the show, created by Envy Lacquer and Nvr Enuff, I think they actually came with a cute frosty blue shot glass but I don't remember where I put that.  They were inspired by the movie Moana.  Of course these aren't available now, but both shops have lots of gorgeous polish to pick from so head over to their sites to check them out.

Stella Chroma November Polish Pick Up Exclusive: Breaker of Chains

Evening beauties!  Well, Halloween is behind us.  That means we will now have Christmas shoved down our throats for the next 2 months.  Don't get me wrong, I like Christmas, but I think we have lost sight of what Christmas means.  It's turned into who can out do the next person with grandiose gifts and over the top decorations and activities for the kids.  I'm a super busy mom with 3 very active kids.  I'm lucky if I remember to hide that damn elf every night, I don't need to worry about dusting footprints and making messes with toilet paper.  I just want to enjoy time with my family and not worry about all that other stuff.  LOL, ok now that you know my opinion on the upcoming holiday let's talk about the exciting Polish Pickup for November.  It's "Fandom" themed so pretty much anything goes.  You can buy your favorites from 11/3-11/6.  Stella Chroma was inspired by Game of Thrones with her polish and you can purchase it for $12 during the sale period.  Let's jump in and I'll tell you more about Breaker of Chains!

Colors by Llarowe Las Vegas 2015; Charity Polish

Good evening!  I know most of you are in bed right now because it's pretty late, but I am on Hawaii time so I am 3-6 hours behind the rest of the USA.  I really wanted to share this gorgeous charity polish with you now because tickets to win it go on sale tomorrow!  Let me fill you in on all the details.  Las Vegas 2015 will be live from July 23rd at 1pm MDT to July 26th at 5pm MDT.  The polish is NOT available for sale.  You are purchasing a $5 raffle ticket for a chance to win the polish.  There are 50 bottles available and it will never be made again.  All tickets purchased will be entered into a list and Random.org will select 50 winners.  You CAN purchase more than one raffle ticket but it's suggested that you purchase them separately as it's the order numbers that winners will be chosen from.  There are no shipping charges for the raffle ticket and you can add a ticket to any Llarowe order.  All proceeds will be donated in equal portions to: RSDSA (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy research), The Shady Tree (domestic violence shelter in Las Vegas) and the Kathleen Foster Trust (trust account set up by the daughters of a member of the polish community that passed away suddenly).  Winners will be chosen and notified on Monday 7/27.   Now that you've heard all the info about how the raffle works let's look at the polish!  Oh and good luck to all of you out there purchasing raffle tickets!

Direct Link: Las Vegas 2015

Las Vegas 2015 is a "turquoise green jelly base with intense red to green shimmer with a touch of holo."  This polish is really lovely.  The color is perfect for summer!  This particular teal-green reminds me of tropical waters, poolside cabanas, serene lagoons and...umbrella drinks (ok ok everything reminds me of umbrella drinks).  Las Vegas 2015 is also the perfect subtle/not so subtle blend of shimmer and holo.  Great for day or night time!  The coppery-red shimmer is really gorgeous and more noticeable in real life.  This is a fairly sheer jelly but it has a really great formula.  It applied easily and evenly.  There was very slight staining to the skin around my nails upon removal but a little scrubbing cleaned it up easily enough.  I used 4 coats of Las Vegas 2015 and finished with a layer of topcoat to gloss everything up.

Good morning again dears!  I'm back today with another fantabulous Colors By Llarowe to share with you.  This is actually the first of a new "series" that I am exited to talk about.  Colors by Llarowe will be starting up a Polish of the Month and I have the first color to share with you.  The polish of the month will only be available for 1 (ONE) month and then it's gone.  If you are into tealy-green and holo then you will definitely want to get in on the pre-order that starts on August 1st.  Ok, that's pretty much all the info I have of you on the new Polish of the Month from Colors by Llarowe.  So let's delve into the pictures!

This green leaning teal holo beauty is Believe in Miracles.  It's a showstopper!  I love how the blue peeks through and sparkles in the sun.  And the base is just stunning.  The formula and application were both amazing.  Leah Ann is really on point when it comes to opacity and richness of color.  Believe in Miracles is a ONE COATER!  One glorious coat for perfect coverage.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

Lumina Lacquer 4/21

Good afternoon, happy Saturday!  I'm at the Happiest Place on Earth, resting after the fun Tinkerbell 10K run!  More like I am resting from having to wake up at 3:30am vs. running 6.2 miles.  I promise to post pictures of my nails and outfit sometime next week but check my Instagram account (@mynailpolishobsession) for pictures now!  I wanted to share a really lovely gift that was given to me by the even lovelier Tatiana from Lumina Lacquer.  We share a birthday and swapped gifts.  This beauty is a special one of a kind that she created for me and I am both touched and totally lusty for it!  You know this means you won't be able to purchase this polish, but as I have mentioned before she has plenty of other gorgeous lacquer selections in her shop including 2 new additions that I just reviewed - Mystic and Spaced Out (post HERE).  So let's take a look at 4/21!

*product in this post as a gift*

What can I say?  4/21 is a totally stunning aqua-teal polish.  The base color is full of mesmerizing shimmer and tiny glitter and flake particles that add depth and interest.  The formula of 4/21 was perfect, nice and creamy and opaque in 2 coats.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

Spaced Out is a "teal superholo  glitter polish in a clear base."  This is such a beauty!  I love how the blue and green glitters compliment each other.  The holo finish is totally mesmerizing.  The formula and application of Spaced Out were both fabulous.  I had full coverage in 3 easy coats.  1 layer of topcoat to finish.

Mystic is a fabulous "lavender superholo."   The subtleness of the purple color in Mystic is just perfect, not overly purple but definitely not silver.  The formula and application are both exactly what all the Lumina Lovers out there have come to expect from the brand - great consistency, great coverage.  I used 3 coats of Mystic and 1 layer of topcoat.

Literary Lacquers Some Glad Morning

Good morning and happy Saturday!  As usual I have a zillion things going on this weekend, mostly to do with soccer.  Hopefully I can get it all sorted out and make it to all the games - whether I'm
lord playing, soccer mom-ing it or just watching (there are 9 games total for the whole weekend).  So let's start today off with a perfectly cheerful green holo from Literary Lacquers!  This particular polish isn't available but there are so many other gorgeous polishes in Amy's shop, I'm positive you will come across something else that will make you feel happy too.  Let's delve in, mmmmkay?

This beauty is Some Glad Morning.  It was a group custom from a while back (last year?).  Just look at this amazing color!  It's a bright green, leaning teal linear holo.  Some Glad Morning is gorgeous and I love it.  The formula was a nice jelly-like consistency and it applied very well.  The first coat was a tad sheer but it built up well in 4 coats.  No topcoat used.
