Envy Lacquer; Very Important Mermaid

Hullo again!  Keeping up with my plan to get all my drafts out of my que, I have another oldie post to share with you today!  Another beautiful polish from The Indie Shop held in San Francisco back in July 2017.  Swatching these polishes and looking a them again makes me so bummed that NorCal gets the shaft with all the nail polish conventions.  San Francisco is a huge city, as are most cities in the Bay Area.  There are plenty of other things to do here once the convention is over.  But I guess we get no love so don't mind me, I'll just go kick rocks.  Anywho, Envy is the brand that organizes TIS and usually has a few show exclusives for sale, Very Important Mermaid was one of those for the San Fran event.  Of course, this is no longer available but I wold highly suggest you keep watch on the upcoming TIS events and especially the event exclusive products - they are always lovely!

Painted Polish; Diving for Doubloons

Hey hey all!  Remember when I said that yesterday I was going to start getting all my drafts out of my Queen?  Well I'm back with a second post to share with you!  This is a real oldie and is definite not available anymore, unless you find it in a destash.  So way back when in July 2017 I went to The Indie Shop in San Francisco.  I've talked about it before and mentioned that it was a mermaid themed event (so fun).  This is one of the polishes I picked up from the event - Painted Polish Diving for Doubloons.  I love me a good glitter cruelly and this one was really fantastic!  Let's jump in and check it out.

ellagee: TIS San Antonio Exclusives, The Moody Collection

Evening!  It was so nice to have the afternoon off from shutting the kids around.  My daughter ended up at a birthday party at the local park so the boys and I rode our bikes over to join them and have fun watching all the games.  I haven't been to a party with old fashioned games in a long time!  There were sack races, limbo, wheelbarrow races and 3-legged races.  The kids had so much fun, I'll have to remember those games in the future.  Well I just ate and am heading out to make a pumpkin shirt for a race I'm in this Sunday, so this will be a quickie post.  Tomorrow is The Indie Shop San Antonio.  So many of you lucky nail polish lovers are going to have a fun time.  ellagee will be there with lots of goodies to show off.  One such collection is the brand new Moody Collection, a trio-color thermal set.  Now I will put the disclaimer from Laura here for you to read: Thermal pigments are fascinating and so much fun to play with. At the same time they are very sensitive to extreme temperatures. Because of the hot weather in Texas (and then to me in California) my press samples were damaged during shipping. I didn't want them to arrive to customers as anything less than intended so I've decided to make them exclusive to the San Antonio Indie Shop, where they'll be available with their full thermal effect as shown in the swatch stick photos.  I did indeed receive polishes that are affected by the heat so only a few showed transition and I only saw 2 colors at best.  With that said, this collection will be exclusive to TIS San Antonio and leftovers will make their way to the website for online shopping.  The Moody Collection will be $12 for individuals and $50 for the set.  Let's check out the polish!

ellagee; TIS San Antonio, Strange Magic Collection & TIS VIP Bag Exclusive - Hello Texas

Morning.  I had the worst night sleep ever.  With the house being under construction the kids no longer have rooms and we are all squished in my room and the living room.  It was hot, every time my son moved around on the cot it woke me up.  Then I thought, I'll just snag a nap after I drop them off but nope.  Laborers are here demolishing more of the roof so bang bang bang they go!  So I'm cranky, tired and sick but I'm up and decided no better way to spend my time (ie avoiding the laundry or any real responsibility) is to blog! This weekend The Indie Shop is happening in San Antonio...I've been to 2 of TIS events before and let me tell you, they are uber fun!  If you can make it happen I highly suggest you go!  ellagee will be one of the vendors there and she'll have lots of polish for you to peruse and play with.  Today I have The Strange Magic Collection for you as well as the TIS exclusive.  The Strange Magic Collection is a gorgeous magnetic trio and will be $13.50 each or $35 for the the trio.  This trio will also launch online on 10/13!  And if you purchased the VIP ticket you will receive the TIS exclusive, Hello Texas!  So let's jump right in and check out the polishes!

Envy Lacquer + Never Enuff Polish; TIS San Francisco Duo, Boat Snack & Beyond the Reef

Morning dears!  Exciting game this morning!  Who are we rooting for, Croatia or France?  Truthfully neither are "MY" team so I am just enjoying the game. Anywho, looking through old polish I haven't swatched/shared with you and realized I didn't do anything from The Indie Shop that was in San Francisco last summer.  It was a really fun event, mermaid themed, my daughter enjoyed it as well.  I really hope they plan on coming back to the Bay Area soon!  So this was a duo available at the show, created by Envy Lacquer and Nvr Enuff, I think they actually came with a cute frosty blue shot glass but I don't remember where I put that.  They were inspired by the movie Moana.  Of course these aren't available now, but both shops have lots of gorgeous polish to pick from so head over to their sites to check them out.

Envy Lacquer Bath & Body Products: Soap Envy Jelly Soap & Whipped Soap

Morning beauts!  Since I seem to be on a roll with body care products I figured I'd keep it going with a few products from Envy Lacquer.  Ok here's the deal though, I purchased these from the Indie Shop San Francisco which was back in August or September of 2017.  Yes, I still have untried stuff from then, but these I tried almost immediately because they were so interesting.  I've just been too swamped with deadlines to post them.  The Envy brand is currently being revamped so the website is empty at the moment but there's an ETA of March 24th to reopen with products, including the Whipped Soap and Jell Soap, YAY!  I totally suggest you try them out as I really enjoyed both.  Even Naomi got quite a laugh from the jiggly soap and it made shower time pretty fun!  And keep an eye on the Indie Shop Page for upcoming events (the March event is sold out).

Nail of the Day: Girly Bits, Darling Diva Polish, Polished for Days & CND Vinylux

Evening dears!  Popping in while I wait in the car for my kiddo to finish soccer practice.  I almost didn't take him because this afternoon a thunder and lightning storm acme on out of the blue!  My daughter and I saw about 5 lightening strikes just in a 10 minute period!  And the thunder was so loud!  Then it poured on us.  All the while it's 90 degrees out.  So yeah I wasn't sure I was going to take him, but the weather cleared up so here we are.  Anywho...I swatch so many reviews these days that I hardly ever wear polish for myself anymore.  I think I'm going to start collecting a few here and there to share my Nail of the Day posts.  Tonight I have 4 different polishes from 4 different brands to share with you!  So let's jump in and see what I wear on my days off from swatching!

Born Pretty Store No Smudge Topcoat

Afternoon dears!  I'm melting into a puddle here at the gymnastics center but it's all good, it's lie a workout with me even having to do anything.  Haha, ok, it's not really a workout.  But I swear I'm sweating just as much as when I ran in the heat this morning.  You know with all the Fall stuffs coming out and me sharing those posts now I totally forgot to share this one that I did back in July.  My daughter and I went to The Indie Shop San Francisco, which was mermaid themed, and I did nails to go with that theme!  First off, I had a blast.  I love that TIS is a smaller, personable event.  I've been to 2 and even when the crowd is big and the line is long, there's still plenty of time to meet makers and other nail polish fanatics.  So I'm hoping that there will be another TIS close by because I'll definitely attend again.  So this mani was a fun little stamping project with KBShimmer, a Moyou London plate and Born Pretty Shop No Smudge topcoat.  The No Smudge Topcoat is available HERE for $2.59.  Don't forget you can save 10% using my code JTOW10.  Ok, let's check out polish.

Beauty Review: Ever After I'm So Jelly, Pumpkin Spice

Hi guys!  I've been so busy lately it's insane.  If I'm not running around doing errands or cleaning the house I'm doing things with the kids or at their school.  Or I'm at soccer.  Or I'm at a LulaRoe party.  Thankfully the kids are on vacation now so next week I'll be able to catch up on some posts that I've fallen behind on.  Today's quickie post before I run off to a birthday party - see, never a break to be had - is a product I got at the recent Indie Shop event in Torrance, CA.  I picked up some body care products, one of which is this interesting jelly soap from Ever After.  It's called I'm So Jelly and it was fun to touch and smelled amazing so I had to get it.  You can pick up jelly soaps in the Ever After shop now in 5 holiday scents for $4 each.  Read on for my thoughts on this product!

The Indie Shop Event Coverage

Good morning dolls!  This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending The Indie Shop event in the Los Angeles area.  I was very excited, not sure what to expect since the last mini convention I went to was in the evening and I was primarily a shopper/media.  This time I got to stand behind the Girly Bits booth helping answer questions, find products, process orders and bag up goodies.  It was so much fun and I loved getting to spend so much time with Pam and Tara.  Ok so the actual event.  The Indie Shop was held in a lovely event room in a Double Tree hotel.  It was spacious and bright with plenty of windows.  Perfect for actually being able the products being displayed.  There were 18 vendors with a variety of products; nail polish, nail art supplies and hand/bath care.  I was able to mosey around prior to the doors opening to take pictures of the tables and then again for a short while to do some shopping.  So let's jumping and I'll show you some of the stuff I saw.

Here are all the lovely vendors in a photo op before the doors opened at 10am for the VIPs!

Girly Bits Cosmetics; The Indie Shop LE's and Exclusive: One Is Never Un Oeuf, Ooh La La & Merci

Morning again!  I have more Girly Bits to share with you.  But today's post showcases polishes made for The Indie Shop nail polish event in Torrance, CA this weekend.  I'm happy to say that I get to attend this one and actually will be helping out at the Girly Bits booth!  So if you're going stop by to chat with me and Pam.  Alright, so 2 of these are limited edition and will be available later (don't quote me on that) and one is an event exclusive.  If you've seen any of the swatches of the brands/polishes that will be there you probably noticed there's a French theme.  I'm totally cool with that because I love France.  So I think it's pretty obvious that I'm excited about Saturday.  For now let's jump in to the post and check out these stunning Girly Bits!
