ellagee; TIS San Antonio, Strange Magic Collection & TIS VIP Bag Exclusive - Hello Texas

Morning.  I had the worst night sleep ever.  With the house being under construction the kids no longer have rooms and we are all squished in my room and the living room.  It was hot, every time my son moved around on the cot it woke me up.  Then I thought, I'll just snag a nap after I drop them off but nope.  Laborers are here demolishing more of the roof so bang bang bang they go!  So I'm cranky, tired and sick but I'm up and decided no better way to spend my time (ie avoiding the laundry or any real responsibility) is to blog! This weekend The Indie Shop is happening in San Antonio...I've been to 2 of TIS events before and let me tell you, they are uber fun!  If you can make it happen I highly suggest you go!  ellagee will be one of the vendors there and she'll have lots of polish for you to peruse and play with.  Today I have The Strange Magic Collection for you as well as the TIS exclusive.  The Strange Magic Collection is a gorgeous magnetic trio and will be $13.50 each or $35 for the the trio.  This trio will also launch online on 10/13!  And if you purchased the VIP ticket you will receive the TIS exclusive, Hello Texas!  So let's jump right in and check out the polishes!

Let's start with Dream Weaver, a blackened purple with pink, blurple, violet and teal shifting magnetic effect.  Lots of great colors in this one and the magnetic effect worked pretty well.  I used the magnet included with my polishes...it was not as strong as some other magnets I have tried but after figuring it out it worked just fine.  I will note that the design on the paper holding the magnet in to the holder does not match the design of the actual magnet.  I have heard to hold the magnet over the topcoat so the effect doesn't diffuse, but that didn't work with this polish/magnet.  So I applied 2 coats and with the second coat still wet I held the magnet over my nail for a bit longer than usual.  Ta-da!  No problems with formula or application of the polish.  2 coats plus topcoat.

Next up is Star Gazer.  This one took the the magnet the best and really showed off the magnetic pattern.  Star Gazer is a deep blue-grey with silver to olive and rose to copper magnetic shift.  Not only was it the strongest magnetic effect but it was also my favorite of the collection.  Unique colors blend together and so very pretty!  I again used 2 coats, using the magnet over the wet, second coat.  Finished with a layer of topcoat.

And last but not least of the Strange Magic Collection is Fortune Teller.  This one is a burgundy base with magenta, copper and violet shifting magnetic effect.  Another totally gorgeous polish!  The base is nice and vampy.  The magnetic effect showed up nicely here too.  I used the same application process as for the other 2.  2 coats and topcoat.

And now we have The Indie Shop Exclusive, Hello Texas.  It will only be in the VIP bag for those who purchased the VIP ticket. This is a beautiful lime green scattered holo.  It's going to be a great color for Halloween and beyond.  Definitely multi-seasonal.  The formula is a little sheer but it built up well in 3 thin coats.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.
