Lollipop Posse: The Study Set

Happy Saturday!  I've had a really great couple of days.  Yesterday I hosted a Friendsgiving get together and spent the afternoon with some of my beautiful friends.  It was fun times chatting, being silly and eating yummy food that everyone brought.  Plus it's just nice to hang out with them outside of sweaty workouts.  That night I went out with my besties for some ceramics painting fun (and more snacks and beverages).  As usual, we were the loudest, rowdiest moms up in the place.  Today was a soccer game in Monterey so we stayed for a delish seafood lunch and walked around Cannery Row.  Now before I shovel some oatmeal pumpkin cookies in my face I'm sharing this quickie post with you before all that goes down!

Lollipop Posse has a few things going on for the upcoming Black Friday sale.

Zoya: Winter Holos

This is gearing up to be a late night post!  Finally got myself all cleaned up and ready for bed.  I tried out my new microdermabrasion tool and think I rubbed too hard in one spot because it's a little achey and stings when I touch it, like I literally rubbed the skin right off.  Ooops!  First time using it, but now I'll know better.  Seems like a great way to slough off dead skin in the cold winter months and I feel like it works because the rest of my face feels nice and smooth.  Anther way to stay fresh looking in the Winter is to wear bright nail polish colors!  Zoya recently came out with their Winter Holo trio and it's 3 lovely scattered holos in fun, non-wintry colors.  You can purchase the Winter Holos now, individually for $10 or as a set for $30.  Pssst, Zoya is also running a promo!  New Year, New Hue.  4 colors for free, you only pay shipping ($15).  Use the code Hue19.  Maybe you can get these 3 beauties!

Morning.  I had the worst night sleep ever.  With the house being under construction the kids no longer have rooms and we are all squished in my room and the living room.  It was hot, every time my son moved around on the cot it woke me up.  Then I thought, I'll just snag a nap after I drop them off but nope.  Laborers are here demolishing more of the roof so bang bang bang they go!  So I'm cranky, tired and sick but I'm up and decided no better way to spend my time (ie avoiding the laundry or any real responsibility) is to blog! This weekend The Indie Shop is happening in San Antonio...I've been to 2 of TIS events before and let me tell you, they are uber fun!  If you can make it happen I highly suggest you go!  ellagee will be one of the vendors there and she'll have lots of polish for you to peruse and play with.  Today I have The Strange Magic Collection for you as well as the TIS exclusive.  The Strange Magic Collection is a gorgeous magnetic trio and will be $13.50 each or $35 for the the trio.  This trio will also launch online on 10/13!  And if you purchased the VIP ticket you will receive the TIS exclusive, Hello Texas!  So let's jump right in and check out the polishes!

Morning lovelies!  Hope your morning is going well.  Truthfully, I'm a bit terrified for my oldest to go to Middle School today and am wondering if a smaller, Charter school might be better.  I don't know...parenting didn't come with a handbook people, I can only guess what is the best thing to do.  Thankfully something I don't need a handbook for is nail polish.  Phew, it's so nice to get lost in gorgeous nail polish!  Stella Chroma will be releasing a stunning collection on 8/31 called the Luxe Chromes collection.  It's a trio of very limited edition, smooth and ultra shifty multi chromes.  If you aren't quick and miss them they'll be gone!  They'll be $13 each.  So set your calendar for 8/31 at 8am EST.  A portion of the sales will go to IGNITE, supporting young girls interested in Technology.  And don't forget you can save 15% using my code MNPO.  Let's jump on in and check them out.

Stella Chroma Premiere Collection

Good morning lovelies!  I feel like it's been a while!  I had quite a bit going on, preparing for the last day of school, Promotion, a short vacation, a half marathon, packing my oldest for an international soccer camp...So much to do, so little time.  So I'm once again playing catch-up.  Let's start with some exciting news.  You've probably heard that Paint Box Polish is no more, but it's not gone.  Stella Chroma will be launching on 6/29 and it's an absolutely gorgeous transformation.  The branding and bottles are so classy, with a boutique feel.  I'm excited to be sharing the Premiere Collection with you now!
A big change happening is that Stella Chroma will be a charity brand!  Pam is a Nurse Practitioner and has nieces that are very interested in science.  Stella Chroma will be promoting STEM careers by partnering with different organizations each quarter.  The initial quarter will be donating a portion of sales to IGNITE (Inspiring Girls Now In Technology) which is a non-profit that introduces girls in grades 6-12 to technology and engineering careers.  Check out their website for more info!
BUT WAIT there's more!  There's also a giveaway for an uber gorgeous Coach holo wristlet!  Making a purchase in the first week will qualify as an entry.  You can get more entires by sending friends to Stella Chroma to shop and having them enter your name in the notes!  *Wristlet will be mailed to the winner*  Ok, now that all those details have been divulged let's jump in and look at polish!

Pahlish: 10/6, Man's Red Flower and Melon Baller

Good afternoon!  Let me just start this post by saying BUY ALL THE CORAL POLISH!  Yup, it's one of my favorite colors and I especially love to wear it in the summer.  So I had to share these gorgeous polishes from Pahlish with you now before the Summer is officially over.  Pahlish has some really fantastic colors and themed collections.  The thing about Pahlish is that if you like a color you need to get it fairly quickly.  Shannon doesn't keep her collections around for very long.  Now and then she has a few "popular" shades return but nothing is guaranteed.  Point in case...all 3 of the polishes I have to share with you tonight.  There are all up for grabs in the last couple months but now, they are gonezo.  So I'm a little bit of a big old meanie and sharing polish that isn't available, I'm sorry!  Right now Pahlish has the lovely Marco Polo collection in her shop and they are perfect Fall colors.  Welp let's look at some coral polish...

10/6 is from the Through the Looking Glass collection.  It was Alice In Wonderland themed so I was a big fan.  Now I will admit that I am a bit confuzzled because the bottle I have is way more coral/red than the pink I was seeing in swatches.  Maybe because of my skin tone, maybe because I took my pictures in direct sunlight?  I really like this color though so it doesn't bother me too much.  10/6 is a coral-pink with a soft scattered holo finish.  The formula and application were both great - no issues to mention.  I used 2 coats of 10/6 and finished with a layer of topcoat.

Man's Red Flower is from The Jungle Book Trio, which was limited edition.  This is a peachy-orange-coral linear holo with some soft pink shimmer.  Again, for some reason my bottle looks very different from all the other pictures I've seen so I can only contribute it to the settings in which I took the pictures - skin tone and lighting.  Man's Red Flower was creamy and opaque and one of those polishes that literally applies itself.  I used 2 coat's of Man's Red Flower and a layer of topcoat.

And now for the bright neon orange-coral crelly!  This is Melon Baller from the Tropical Trio and I loves it!  The Tropical Trio was also limited edition.  There is a perfect blend of silvery and pink flakies in there that really make the polish stand out.  Formula and application were both stellar.  Because this is a squishy type polish I expected more coats but was happy that it only took 3 layers of Melon Baller for full coverage.  I finished with a layer of topcoat.

Glitter Week: Day 5, Red Dog Designs (part 2)

I'm back with a quick second post featuring Red Dog Designs.  Earlier I showed you many polishes that were customs or LE and no longer available.  So i wanted to show you some LE's that currently are available!  These are the St. Patty's Day Collection and they are all awesome!  This trio is only available this month and you have the option to buy 1 or all 3.  If you get the trio you get a discounted price of $27.  Great deal and you'll be set with green polish for a while!

Red Dog Designs: Shop, Facebook, Instagram

The first color from the trio I have to show is Pog Mo Thoin.  I'll let you look up the translation.  Gina describes this as a "soft linear holo in a creamy sage colored base."  I loved how soft the color of Pog Mo Thoin was.  Perfect Spring green!  The formula was very creamy and the holo effect is very subtle and lovely.  I used 3 thin coats for full coverage.  No topcoat in my pictures.  *Pog Mo Thoin is $12 for a full size bottle*

*sunshine picture*

This is Shamrock Shake.  One of my favorite things about this holiday is the shamrock shake at the fast food drive thru.  Which reminds me that I should probably get one on Monday!  YUM!  Shamrock Shake is a glitter bomb blend of "hex, square and circle glitters, in finishes of holo, matte and metallic, in various hues of green and iridescent color change green-lime-gold glitters, including metallic green shamrock glitters."  Formula and application were both awesome.  There was huge glitter payoff and the mix of shapes and smaller uniform sized glitters was perfect.  I used 2 coats of Shamrock Shake over Pog Mo Thoin.  1 layer of topcoat.  *Shamrock Shake is $10 for a full size bottle*

*sunshine picture*

Blarney Stone is a fabulous texture polish!  Blarney Stone is a mix of "various sized hex glitters, in shades of holo gold, holo green hues, holo black and and green, sprinkled with micro silver, green and holo glitter in a mossy green base."  The blend of sparkle and texture is perfect and the grit of the texture is really nice.  Formula and application were both great.  I used 2 coats of Blarney Stone, letting the first dry completely before the second and no topcoat.  *Blarney Stone is $10 for a full size bottle*
